Darkest Red,

You did things that put Jesus on the cross...whipped, brutalized, beaten, humilated, and dejected all without opening His mouth.........He could have called ten thousand angels and not have endured it........BUT HE TOOK YOUR PLACE!

Since Jesus loved you so much that He took your place, do you want to crucify Him all over again by doing what you know is wrong?

Do your really REALIZE JESUS DID FOR YOU?

In His love,

SIN IS ONLY SIN WHEN YOU TRY TO HIDE IT.

I have to disagree with that. Today more and more sin is being "accepted" and is being brought out of the closet. Just because it is out in the open, that does not make it right!

If you noticed in these verses, God granted repentance to these people.

Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Why don't confess your sins to God and ask Him to grant YOU repentance?

darkest red, Does the bible say that this thing is a sin, or do people say this thing you have done is a sin? There is a difference. I have relatives that say that drinking a beer is a sin, but I disagree. Maybe drinking 10 if you get my meaning.

Also it may well be that maybe you need to talk with someone to explain why this thing is a sin, if it truly is a sin.

If you repent but only repent because the what you've done is a sin, rather than  because you regret what you have done, do you still get forgiven?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I feel that this question, has a simple answer, you must be convicted by the holy spirit , that what you have done is wrong. If you dont feel it in your heart then you are not really repenting, just saying it does not mean a thing.

Repentance has nothing to do with feelings. It is simply forsaking a sin. God does not require you to beat yourself up, but to obey Him. If there is a feeling involved, it should simply be love for Him.
