Guest yod
I'll be going on a tour of many camps in the former East German Republic this summer, Buchenwald & Bergen-Belsen & others...but Aushwitz is in Poland so I don't think we'll go there. Want to go? Nothing makes you appreciate life more than seeing these death camps.

I guess that it may be of no use and yet ... maybe it will!!! Auschwitz Brit Leon Greenman dies aged 97 By Tom Parry 8/03/2008 The only Englishman imprisoned in Auschwitz died at 97 yesterday. London-born Leon Greenman was rounded up by the Nazis in 1943 while living in Rotterdam with his Dutch wife Esther and son Barney. He was one of only two men to survive the transport of 700 Jews from Holland to the concentration camp in Poland. His wife and son died there. Mr Greenman survived six death camps and was liberated in Buchenwald in 1945. He received an OBE for his services against racism and spent his last years at his home in Ilford, East London.
