Guest lovinghim4ever
I do love God, but lately it seems when Sunday rolls around I just don't want to go to church. What's up with that? Does anyone else ever feel this way?

At best I find 'church' boring, I don't need to be entertained or spoon fed 'baby food', not to mention the plethora of 'human reasoning' which is sometimes passed off as the 'Word of God'. I hunger for the 'meat of the word', for the power of God displayed in sinners being delivered from their captivity in sin and being filled with the love of God, not vague, general praise, but praise for the indwelling of His Holy Spirit who keeps us from sin. and teaches us to walk in the Spirit, endure trials and temptations, to wrestle against principalities and powers of darkness, most of which has disappeared from the 'religious scene'. Just my 2 cents. God Bless, Dennis
Guest LadyC
sounds like you're in the wrong church! seriously, if you hunger for meat and feel like you're getting formula, then you aren't where God wants you to be... because He wants you to be where you are getting spiritually fed. that goes too, i think, for those who find church boring, or who just can't find any desire to go.... the church you've BEEN going to, or have visited, or whatever, is not where you need to be. now, there will always be days when our flesh wants to stay home in bed and play hooky from church, because that's just how our sinful nature operates. but it should be the exception, not the rule. Some I saw spend time in the pub, others play sports, other go sunday-shopping and others did other things. It all seemed so empty from my perspective knowing what the Word instructs regarding fellowship. IMO a healthy church life adds colour to our lifestyles through the joy and peace that right-standing with God gives us. It is however 'the kindness of God that leads men to repentance', so it is my hope and wish that men discover these god-recommended advantages for themselves, namely church involvement.
