  1. Can't understand why anyone would want to have droopy pants!!!
  2. When you don't feel like going to church, that is usually the time when you need to go the most! Written by Afal
  3. 1 John 2: 15-16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world
  4. I have my own version of Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of what we confidently expect the evidence of what is yet unseen. I quite like the NIV version too, Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I think Mark 11:22-23 gives a great definition of what faith is like action. 22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. We can have faith in God in the sense that God is the object of our faith and that is right and good. But we can also have faith in God in the sense that we are positionally in Him and we partake of his faith. Colossians 3:3 ...your life is now hidden with Christ in God and also Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
  5. That is a good verse to hold on to! Thank you Afal, my love
  6. Thank you! Amen!!! And thanks again Richard.
  7. If an unbeliever was to ask you what is faith how would you answer the question? Or do you have a favourite definition of what faith is? Blessings, Mr T
  8. Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my questions. A favourite scripture of mine for encouragement to read and meditate on the word, with a promise is Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Blessings, Mr T
  9. How often do you think Christians should read their Bibles? And can you give an answer as to why they should read them as often or as little as they do whatever the case maybe.
  10. I voted for being spiritually fed. Although this is generally thought of as hearing the word preached, Rom 10:17 I believe there are different aspects to being spiritually fed. Which would involve partaking in worship, fellowship with other believers, giving of one's selves and one's money. In fact anything that involves doing the will of God could be considered as being spiritually fed. See John 4:34.

    Spirits

Demon and devil and fallen angel are all the same things. They are fallen angels who joined lucifer in his initial rebellion against God. I believe you have a good point here, demons, fallen angels and Satan are all the same class in the sense they are nothing more than unclean spirits. And Jesus has stripped them of their power over believers. Blessings, Mr T

    Andrew Wommack

Andrew Wommack is a word of faith preacher. If you get on with the likes of the late Kenneth E Hagin or Kenneth Copeland and the like. You will probably like Andrew Wommack too. As for his teaching being new age I've never personally come across anything in it that remotely smacks of new age teaching. Blessings, MR T

    Spirits

Hi All, Essentially a demon is a disembodied spirit being with corrupted nature. As for their origin it is quite difficult with any absolute certainty, to say where they come from. There are several theories that I'm aware of. As for a ghost this again is a spirit being. But there are many spirit beings. There is a man or woman's spirit, there our angels good and evil, there is God's Spirit, there is Jesus' Spirit and the Holy Spirit and finally there are demon spirits. All of the above are spirit beings or to use an old term ghosts. Blessings, MR T.
  15. Hi Afal, love you Asking the question ' What would Jesus do...' might be a good place to start for anyone who wants to live a godly life. But it is doing what Jesus would do or rather doing what Jesus is doing. The whole point of the Christian life here on planet earth is to glorify God the Father through his Son manifest in us by the Holy Spirit. That way Jesus continues to do the things He did during his earthly ministry. The problem with most Christians is they don't realise the enormity of what God has done in them in making them a new creation and just how great the Holy, awesome person they are now one Spirit with on the inside of themselves. Religion and the devil would have us believe that we are weak, ineffective sinners that will never amount to much, that is a lie. It's true to say however that the flesh is corrupt to the core! But the flesh can be likened to a spot on the rear end of an elephant when compared with all the divine glory we have inherited in Christ, who is within us. Personally I believe God is waiting for those who will take Him seriously enough to rise to the challenge of allowing Jesus to do his stuff through them. After all the promise is for anyone who believes. Blessings, Mr T.

  19. I have the head knowledge that I am loved beyond measure, but has it really got to my heart? Maybe not as much as I would like it to do. If I really knew that I was loved my actions, at times would be so different to what they can be;my emotions too would be very different. Sadly, I have to admit that I have a long way to go. 20. That was a great thought for the day Afal. It has the potential to inspire people to think edifying thoughts It says in one of the gospels that Jesus grew and found favour with both men and God which suggests he was popular. There is also the scripture that speaks of the beauty of holiness which suggests he had an inner beauty that would attract people. And when he was talking with the religious leaders of the day in Jerusalem, aged 12 and they marveled at his wisdom, it became clear he was nobody's fool. All in all Jesus is a great person to know Love you :) Mr T
  21. Your most welcome. Blessings, Mr T
  22. Hi Jackie, The reason I asked the question is because people who hear God's voice whether it is by dreams, visions, mental pictures or spontaneous thoughts generally read the word a lot. I believe the word's in the Bible are like the Holy Spirit's alphabet and God uses them and arranges them in His order to speak to us. What some people might call a rhema word or a living word. Blessings, Mr T
  23. Hi Jackie d They were great dreams I'm sure they must be of a great encouragement to you. If you don't mind me asking you this question, do you read the word much. Blessings, Mr T.
