Is this the basket that was placed in Shinar/Babylonia? Zechariah 5 1 I looked again--and there before me was a flying scroll! 2 He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide." 3 And he said to me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished. 4 The Lord Almighty declares, 'I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in his house and destroy it, both its timbers and its stones.'" 5 Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, "Look up and see what this is that is appearing." 6 I asked, "What is it?" He replied, "It is a measuring basket." And he added, "This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land." 7 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! 8 He said, "This is wickedness," and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth. 9 Then I looked up--and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth. 10 "Where are they taking the basket?" I asked the angel who was speaking to me. 11 He replied, "To the country of Babylonia to build a house for it. When it is ready, the basket will be set there in its place." I remember before the invasion several ministers spoke of Iraq being prophetic and Saddam Hussain re-building Babylon and this being part of the end times prophesy. Now here WE are re-building Babylon, with no intention of ever leaving.

But it looks to me like we are building our own little emerald city in the desert.

We have built massive bases throughout Saudi Arabia and in the past few years, have turned some over to Saudi control most notably portions of Prince Sultan Air Base in 2003. Another BIG base we built was King Khalid Military City (KKMC) in Al Batin, Saudi Arabia also known as the "Emerald City". The city was designed for an army division of three brigades and had a design population of about 65,000 people. Today, there is a minimal presence there for obvious reasons. Iraq is the new Saudi Arabia strategically speaking.

In this story, it seems all they can criticize is the fact that a few fire extinguishers failed to work in a test, and that a pump wasn't working right. To me it looks like Mr Waxman was stretching a bit to grab onto anything that he could use to stab at the current administration. Surely there is more to worry about, such as the close to 800 million it cost to build. t.

And my question is, how does that compare to any other US embassy we have built? What is the deal with the excess of this one? What is so significant about this one? What is it really about? Again, I'm back to my original post. Is this a prophecy being fulfilled in our time? In His Love, Suzanne

Remember when we let the Russians build our embassy in Russia? It was loaded with hidden microphones and cameras. Guess we are!
