Any scriptures supporting burying them or putting them in water?

Here's where they were burned

Act 19:19 "Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver."

It is thought that by burying them that the spirit will be neutralized. This is very common with people I know. Although, I don't think it's scriptural at all.

well if you already burned them then its a little late, but burning any sort of black magic thing is usually not a good idea, especially with boards. boards open up a "door" with the spirit realm or w/e you like to call it, and when you burn the board it keeps you from closing the door because you burned the door down. iono if its bad to burn books and cards or not, the best method is usually to bury them somewhere in the woods or throw them in a body of water.

This sound rather occult based itself and something that crops up in horror films and certain fantasy books. Whats to stop people from finding them and using them once they have been buried? Jumanji anyone?!!!
