  1. This thread reminds me of Luke "God, I thank thee, that I am not as other ..."
  2. "Press In" is meant to encourage you. To me, there are numerous Biblical applications such as II Kings 13:18 when the king hit the ground 3 times and the man of God had wanted him to strike the ground with the arrow of the Lord's deliverance 6 or 7 times.
  3. Encourage you to keep a journal of your dreams. You may want to leave space so as the Lord reveals what they mean you can add it. Yahweh gives us dreams for a purpose so you'll know what it means. Sometimes it just takes longer than we would like.
  4. In this verse, it states that His words had to be interpreted - Mark 5:41"And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise." Does anyone know what language uses "Talitha cumi?"
  5. Why not sincerely pray and ask Yahweh to speak in tongues because you're willing and trusting Him to cover you. That way it gets our theology out of the way. Then get our minds off ourselves and praise and worship Him.
  6. Do you mean by loving God the most, that we always chose God's way over our way? It's pretty well a constant choosing - do we get offended at the driver who almost caused an accident? Or do we forgive a friend who said a remark that was really painful? Or did we go to sleep anger with our spouse? It's an enormous range of possibilities everyday. We can be vigilant about our choices - knowing that Yahweh will help us every step of the way. There's thanksgiving, praise, and worship of Him - Isn't it great that He's wanting to spend more time with you?
  7. Thanks for taking the time to post and bring this thread back up - just what I need. Thanks!
  8. Isa 11:2 "And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD"; Some confused because the Spirit of the Lord is included in these 7 spirits of the Lord. But it's 7 of His spirits to us - The "fear of the Lord" is pivotal (Psa 111:10). It's abandoning our mindsets and pursuing what Yahweh wants more than what anyone else wants or experiences - especially ourselves. (Having the fear of the Lord instead of the fear of man). Without the fear of the Lord, we're not going to accept His wisdom (I Cor 2:13 - not human wisdom), understanding (comprehending); counsel (personal instruction); might (Yahweh's supernatural strength & overcoming ourselves); and knowledge (knowing His ways). illlustrated in Exo 31 & Luke 4 If we can set aside our thoughts and opinions and receive His, He'll provide (Jam 1:5).

    Moses and Elijah

I vote for Enoch and Elijah b/c 1Co 15:22 "For as in Adam all die even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
  10. What is the standard for prophetic words? Some say they
  11. Sorry for what you've been dealing with. Hope your dh is doing much better now. My dh and I got our feelings hurt and stayed out of church for years. But since then I've learned that sometimes Yahweh uses church members to refine us and vice versa. It happened in scripture. Barnabas convinced the other apostles that Saul/Paul had changed and got them to accept him (Acts 9). But when Barnabas was compassionate & encouraging about taking John Mark with them (the same role he had done on Paul's behalf), he and Paul had such a disagreement that they went in different directions (Acts 15). Yet in II Tim4, Paul is talking how valuable John Mark is to his ministry. So people are going to let us down and we let other people down. Agree with vab - we have to be in the church where Yahweh wants us. Try not to be offended - and I really know how hard that can be - & keep our eyes on Him.
  12. He's saying what I said in post #17. Eph 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;"
