Now that Obama is trying to bring peace to the region, I expect to see more retaliation from the radical Islamic fighters then before. They are now on some sort of a time table and are being pushed into a corner.

Obama has stated he wants Israel to surrender "the Golan Heights" (ancient Judea and Samaria) and east Jerusalem to the Palestinians to bring about this peace. There would have to be a promise that they would defend Israel from Syria in order for me to become even the slightest comfortable with this idea ... But Obama made it clear he's giving the Palestinians and other Arabs what they want (well, what they claim to the world they want). So why there's no need for them to work against this supposed peace plan. Logically, anyway.

It was an unprovoked attacked. Just like all of the previous unprovoked attacks. That is actually part of the definition of terrorism. Use of the word retaliation plays into the tactic of moral equivalence. So, for the sake of clarity, Israel does not deserve to be compared in any way with the outrages of the haters. Let's call them straight. If a criminal attacks a police officer who has arrested him, it is not retaliation, it is a crime.

Obama may want to 'make' Israel give up the Golan Heights but is up the the gov. to do so. I understand that Netanyahu more than likely win the next election and he doesn't strike me as one who would give up a strategically important piece of real estate. When all of the pro-hamas people get it into their heads that hamas keeps telling the world they don't want peace but only a truce to rearm since that is what hamas is all about keeping the resistance against Israel going, to rid the earth of the occupiers. Too many have wax in their ears.
