The world with all its international interplays can look so confusing, yet God`s word tells us that He is directing world governments, in His time frame, to His destination.
I would like to look at how the nations developed, how they ruled & then show God`s time frame for dealing with them. Many people may know the details presented, however I hope to high light a strong line concerning government. God gives that responsibility to man in early history & then shows us
World Rulers – How they Ruled.
Q. How did these World Rulers Govern?
Each of these World Rulers had an opportunity to rule the world with mercy & justice. But sadly they all chose control, domination & greed.
The king of Babylon started with supreme power, while each successive ruler had progressively less power. Finally the last world Ruler, the `feet,` will have internal division, making it quite volatile.

Q. What is the meaning of the Great Image?
One night king Nebuchadnezzar was given an amazing dream by God. He wanted his wise men to tell him the dream & the interpretation. This they could not do. Finally Daniel seeking God was able to tell the king the dream & the meaning.
`You, O king, were watching; & behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendour was excellent, stood before you; & its form was awesome.` (Dan. 2: 31)

Q. Which Nation was the First World Ruler?
Egypt & Assyria, although powerful & mighty nations never became World Ruler. They continually fought against each other & with Israel, which was situated in between.
Finally there arose another great power, Babylon, which dominated the Middle East. They conquered Israel, who had turned from God & thus they were led into exile in Babylon.

Q. What is God`s Plan for Israel?
Israel – Priests to God.
When God led the children of Israel out of Egypt he told Moses their leader more of His purpose for them as a nation. Calling Moses aside up a mountain, God unfolded His purposes for Israel.
`...you shall be to me a kingdom of priests & a holy nation.` (Ex. 19: 6)
God would show the people of Israel how to approach Him, how to offer the right sacrifices & then how to live together as a community.

God in His foresight knew that mankind would continually go their own way. So God had planned to establish His own special nation that would not only learn His ways, but would teach & rule over the other nations of the world.

Christ the King. (The Throne)

The word, `throne,` represents the rule & authority of God. We know that God`s eternal throne is in the highest heavens whereas this `throne,` in the New Jerusalem is just above the earth in the universal heavens. It is God & the Lamb`s rule & authority through Israel out to the nations of the world.

THE NATION
The concept of a `nation` refers to the political process of the governing of a particular geographic area, with defined territorial boundaries.
Nations claim sovereignty, which means the right to control and govern the territory recognised as belonging to the nation.
I would like to do a few pages on the forming of the Global Government. Now it is often difficult to understand what is happening in our world, so I will do an overview, as I see it, first.

The Mediator
Christ is the Mediator of the Covenant that God made with Israel. As such He represents God as the Son of God, & He represents Israel as the Son of Abraham.

The `woman` with the 12 stars, (from Gen. 37: 9 & 10) represents Israel. She gives birth to a son, Jesus, the promised son, (Isa. 9: 6 & 7). He would deliver Israel from its enemies, then after He died & rose again He ascended into hea
CHRIST THE MEDIATOR
The Son of God, the Heir to all the estates, will be invested as the Supreme King priest upon the throne in the third heaven. All of heaven will acclaim Him, & that He indeed is worthy. (Rev. 5: 12) The Father will give His Son the nations as His inheritance & the power & authority to execute His will over them, (symbolised by the scroll).

God promised His Son & Heir the nations as His inheritance, (Ps. 2: 8) & said He would bring them to Christ`s footstool, (for His possession – Ps. 110: 1) Christ then will deal with these nations plus deliver Israel from its enemies.

The Godhead, (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) are beyond all created realms, yet they desire to rule within their created order in a personal way. This will be through the Lord Jesus Christ who became a man yet now has a glorified body.

The Apostle John was overcome by this wondrous vision of the Lord Jesus and collapsed at His feet as dead.
