God has given man the responsibility to govern, and man will be made accountable as to how he does that. As nations formed God made His own nation, Israel, to rule righteously over the other nations of the world. However Israel turned away from God and so God has given the Gentiles (other nations) opportunity to rule for a set time.

God`s Purpose.
Satan and his fallen angels are in rebellion against God. Satan desires to be as God and rule the world. He never knew the full purposes of God for if he did he would not have crucified the Lord of glory. For it is through the Lord`s death and resurrection that He is bringing many sons to glory who will rule and reign with Him, in the highest realm. This was the place where Satan had his throne before he and his angels were cast out.
THE MILLENNIUM (Rev. 20)
The Millennium is the time which God promised to the nation of Israel. They would be the rulers over the nations of the world, under God. Satan would be bound for this period, and man will be able to learn God`s ways. The Lord Jesus will rule through Israel with a rod of iron, meaning consequences for actions.
