  1. There is no such thing as "good people". Romans 3 tells us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". I believe God has put the law in our hearts so we know what is right and wrong, but even still, we sin, and unbelievers sin, so I don't actually think there is scripture support for an idea that certain groups of non believers would not take the mark. That is, presuming it is a physical mark (which I doubt) I think even some believers will stumble and take the mark.

  2. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 2 Peter 3:8

  3. I love my conscience that the Lord has given me.It keeps me safe. http://www.christianpost.com/news/a-seared-conscience-no-longer-accuses-you-98625/ When God made you, He gave you a built-in "firewall" to protect you from making destructive decisions. Without this firewall, man is prone to destroy his life and the lives of others by choices that go against God's will. This firewall is known as the human conscience.Your conscience is a gift from your Creator. He gave it to you because He loves you and He wants to help you do the right things. He wants you to feel guilty about your sin, and to feel good about His love and forgiveness. When there is no guilt over sin, there is no awareness of the danger you are facing and the harm you are causing. You can thank God whenever you sense your built-in firewall working for you. Whenever you refuse to do what is wrong, you can be reminded of how God made you. Whenever you resist hurting someone else by your words or actions, you can thank God He made you to sense that preferable path. Whenever you choose not to lie or cheat or steal, you can thank God for giving you a conscience.

  4. People seem to be confusing being born again of the Holy Spirit of Christ with salvation. Salvation is an ongoing process that begins with our being born again of the Spirit of God. When we have the Spirit of Christ, we are Christians and we are saved. If we have not Christ, we are not saved. 1John 5:12 Our salvation starts with being born again and being sealed with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the promisary note, the down payment of our redemption. Our salvation culminates with the redemption of our bodies when Christ returns for us, His bride, the Church. Salvation is a process. We were saved when we were born and sealed with the Holy Spirit. We are being saved from our experiential sinfulness.. It is the ongoing process of our repenting and being cleansed from our sins. In the future our bodies shall also be saved at the coming of Christ for His Church, us, the bride of Christ.

  5. On earth as it is in Heaven... I know we have all been taught differently as to our upbringing...I am of the persuassion that I am in the born again state...and readily admit I am not a Bible Scholar...and therefore with The Kingdom of God inside of me...bringing Heaven to earth...(I'm not of the persuassion that I have to wait for anything-because I have experienced The Power of God Working Through me...(Have gone through hell on earth too-almost died without Him) and so in Seeking My God With my Whole Heart am being shown how it is in Heaven...pure joy...full of His Rest...Light and not darkness...My my...am lead and guided as to Carry Out My Fathers Desire Upon The Earth-through intercessory prayer...and all The Gifts of The Holy Spirit... In my humble opinion we are still in the midst of the enemy on this earth...and they need binding...I don't think they are in Heaven...seems to me like they got kicked out...so here are some of us: Born again Seeing The Kingdom of God on this yukky earth...so what do we do? Nothing? My my...I'm not made that way...Humbly...changed from a worrier to a warrior...Kneeling at The Throne of Grace...Coming Boldly and Being Changed To Make A Difference On This Earth For Those That Haven't Seen Heaven Yet...Giving Hope...Where There Is None... Lord...I Need You...More and More and More...

  6. Sigh... where do I start...? Evolution has nothing to do with the Big Bang. Stephen Hawking is a physicist not an evolutionary biologist. Hawking also knows that space and time come into existence together he just doesn't think God is the cause. Please get your facts straight. Thanks That doesn't mean that we shouldn't try.

  7. Random Thoughts-39 The other day I was surprised when I read the name of one of my new patients. The nurse had brought his file and the name read "Yamraj", which means "God of Death" in Hinduism. As I waited for him to come in, I wondered why his parents must have named him so. Surely he wouldn't have looked like one when he was born. Perhaps they were worshippers of Yamraj. Or perhaps it was just a mistake on their part; they didn't realize the meaning of the name. As he entered my room, I saw that he was thin and pale, tense and nervous, as if he himself had just seen "Yamraj" on the way to the clinic. I asked him whether he knew the meaning of his name. He smiled but didn't reply. Well, there you are; the peculiarities of human life. One of the things that most people have no control over is their own names. They are stuck with whatever their parents or guardians thought was good for them and by the time they realize that something else would have been better, their names are already in their school certificates and passports and changing to some other preferred name would mean "an uphill task", which most avoid. But there's another side to this matter. We read in the book of Proverbs, Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:3, 4) Inference: We can win a good name in the sight of God and man, no matter what name we have.

  8. Thanks! I understand the other posters comments and I'm not questioning Genesis. I am just questioning the "day" definition.
