  1. Why do I listen to the devil, believe it or not I try not too. But when I hear this comment probably every other day at times it drives me insane! Truth be told it makes me question just about everytime. Yes I very embarass to admit this but here goes. Image when you wake up, will the first thing I do is get under a spectrum light because it is suppose to help with this problem. Next thing I do, now listen is take a shower. Usually 20 to 30 minutes many times I've asked family members later, I did take a shower right I didn't image it did I, they always say yes you did. I will get back to this in a moment because it is were the devil always come and says to me, If you are a child of God, and are fearfully and woderfully made why does God let You STINK! I say this because after showering I usually eat. After which I brush my teeth. Than go to work sometime I have eaten then shower within one hour of doing this, I hear people whispering he stinks he should take a shower! I sorry I'm not that strong that cuts me to the core. Many of you will said I"m paranoid, but I have confronted some, while some have denied it a few haven't, was I that brave to comfort them, no I was just sick and tired of it. I have tried everything showering twice a day, botisol (which work the first 2 or 3 days cause I could hear people whispering the opposite for those days) but the rest of that 7 month period same old same old. I remember two co-worker talking about this a female and male. The female I had already confronted about the issue so she told the male he says he takes showers his replied was he should use soap, I'm a pacificist but it was all I could do to keep from going over there and decking him. Talk to two different doctors about this problem, both said they didn't notice anything but some people have sensitive noses. One of them tested me for diabetes and liver disease of course no surprise I have diabetes he figure this was my problem. After taking medicine and coming back to see him he ask did I still have the problem since he thought my blood sugar had drop enough, didn't know at the time so I was silent, he took my silence to mean no. Will I found out in the last couple of weeks the problem still exists even with lower blood sugar numbers. I have tried so many different things Chlorophyll, washing myself with tomato juice don't know if it work but it doesn't matter because I broke out with rashes, had the same problem with white vinegar oil and baking soda under the arm. Even shave under my arms. Told family members (I am living with my sister) about the problem they all said they didn't notice a thing and though I was paranoid, I think they change their minds when they complained one day about something I did they thought they were quiet and I was a couple of rooms away, so I could not hear them, so when I came out of the room and apologized repeating everything they said they were amaze. I bring this up because I try cologne but my sister hate the stuff, so that was out which turn out was good because and I have no idea when or how sometimes when I put the stuff on I notice the odor of bug stray or repellent. This is the only time I notice any odor. The devil know how much I"m hurt and always aims for this big hole in armour, seldom does it not work and he easily defeats me. I know God is good, and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are merciful but in all honesty I feel abandon I do love God but I also hate Him for this. Again I love people but I also hate many for this, but most of all I just plain out hate myself for being so worhless that such a merciful saviour doesn't seem to even care (I Peter 5:7)!
  2. That is a good question? Are you born again? What does Jesus mean to me? Without Jesus I'm lost in my sins. But by the Blood of Jesus Christ my God and Savior I'm made righteous in the sight of God. II Corinthians 5:21 put it best Jesus Christ took my sins upon Himself so that I as believers might be may righteous in God. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death" because of my sins I will died and go to hell, But wait "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." By God the Father giving me the gift of His only Son I not only have eternal life but become adopted (John 1:12; Romans 8:15-16) into the Family of God. His death and resurrection (I Corinthians 15:3-4) save me from hell fire.
  3. Greetings all who hail Jesus' name! I was watching on GodTV on their series Apocalypse and the End Times and one of their teachers suggested this possibility for the meaning of the mark of the beast, ie: 666 (which many symbolize to say 6 = number of man, etc etc). He said something to do the extent of this: John wrote down what he saw. This teacher suggested that John was not writing in greek, but aramaic. Since aramaic is read right to left, when reading the words that greek translates to '666', it literally translates, 'allah' - signifying that John was prophecying of the most dishonoring religion ever to wreck this planet - to say Jesus is not God and that He did not die on a Cross! anyways, thoughts? 4. This is what I feel like with this problem. I know it is just a bunch of jibberish to you all because I cannot go into detail as I stated earlier for shear means of total pure embarassment. So just asking please pray that God would grant me mercy so that Jesus stripes can heal me of this problem. As due to my sadness and anger from this problem my blood sugar was will above 200 for the first time in about 2 or 3 months. Job 3:25-26 (25) For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. (26) I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.
  5. Yesterday I let the devil tempt me, and failed, this still isn't the problem, got back up and satan than outflanked me, and hit spaure in the biggest hole in my armour. Today he is using the scriptures against me and all I can do is say DUH! The sin is a problem but not what he really got me with, that was a smokescreen to get to my weakest point boy did it ever work. Unforunately for me I got my grandpa hearing which means you can said something nice about me and I couldn't hear it if I was right next to you. But you say something negative about me and I could hear it from a mile. Most of this I don't let get to me. But one thing always get to me and I have heard it from people whispering so many times. I won't mention what it is out of pure embarassment. My family and friends say I don't have this problem. A couple of people have told me I'm paranoid, but when I tell them to go ask without letting the other person know what I said, they come back with what I told them I heard. I think the devil has used this to recite Psalms 139:14 "I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well." Then he tell me if I'm a child of God why was I so pitifully made that I've this problem? I know other have this problem (Thank God not many) but only once did I meet someone worst off them me I didn't notice anything but people said this to me about another co-worker that was a female, which surprise me because it was a problem I had figured would be predominant among us males. Three different times I have heard this comment may about me in a House of Worship or by another believer. I ask a pastor whose wife made this comment what could I do? he didn't give must help. Is it possible the devil will tell the truth when he know it will help to destroy you? And if I'm a child of God why has He left me with this incurable problem? I have no answer for this just a terrible heartache and a question why did God make me this way? Cause with this problem the enemy can pretty much get to me any time he wants to!
  6. That is great angel ! "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16 Great verse 7thseal
  7. I definitely agree with your conclusion angel4u. But like you don't think accupuncture is wrong. But the saints of the Most High seem to be accepting things which contradict Scriptures. I have heard many preacher (many of whom I think are true believers) teaching New Age doctrine of I amism. What I mean by that is they say, to claim things by saying I am this in Christ, for instant I am rich in Christ, this is a profession of faith they say. Problem being we as believers should never use the statement "I am" in this context for the Jewish people during Jesus time knew when Jesus said "I am" (John 8:56-59 see also Exodus 3:14-15) He was saying I am the Living God. Another problem many of these preachers are only looking at money not how rich Christ has truly made us in spiritual manners "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich." (II Corinthians 8:9). But Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:7: "In whom we have redemptive through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace:" So we are rich in spiritual things not necessary material things.
  8. Praise God, Nebula you sure do, Thank you dear sister in Christ.
  9. Nebula you are right whether Obama knows this or not is not the problem. It how people seem to perceive him and as glorywatch said he hasn't said anything to stop it. But of more importance is the blasphemy toward my Saviour. Obama may be my President but I have only one Lord and Saviour my God Jesus Christ. If this had been done toward mohammed the moslem would have kill the artist, But it was done to the Lamb of God and we all seem to be more worried about the President than our King's glory. I Corinthians 1:30-31 (30) But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (31) That according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
  10. I agree kat, in the long run it will be more expensive for our country because the money is going to China. Whereas if you spend a little more and the money stay in the United States it well help the economy. Like the article says most of the people who died on 9-11 where Americans. It is sad to see something like this !
  11. nebula that was a great story ! Jasmine shows characteristic I'm sure we as believers in Christ should show each other. Thanks that was inspiring.
  12. This verse has always been the subject of controversy. Some people believe that one must be baptised to be saved, and in the case where a believer dies without being baptised, they believe another person can be baptised for them. I am a bit skeptical about that. I think it is saying that a person is baptised because it is a symbol of the fact they were dead in their tresspasses and sins ,not literally dead and in the grave. They do so as a sign of the death of the old man and the birth of the new. We also believe that those who are in Christ will one day experience a physical resurrection and live forever. That is just my opinion, but I haven't heard a better explaination so far. Thank you Butero I will have to look at that. Some hold the "water baptism" to such a high standard that can not be warranted. Water does not save, Blood does. If the water in itself could save, we would be part of a "works based salvation" meaning you were saved by your works of baptism. We know, that we are not!! We are saved by grace alone due to our faith...a faith that God has given us all in small doses, how we use it, is on us. For those that hold the water baptism to salvation standards, my one question is this: If we MUST be water baptized to be saved, why do we see this...? Luke 23:42 Then he said to Jesus,
  13. Some very good advice there south. Don't know how to follow rule number 5 as I work an overnight shift and do work Saturday night thru Sunday morning.

  15. Thank you Murse32, appreciate the information. I apologize Ovedya, but do you know what churches, because this is something I definitely have not heard of, would like to knowl.
  16. Thank you Murse32! Do you have any idea what pagan groups may have practice this. I do agree with you wholeheartedly that I Corinthians 15 Primary topic is about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I guess I'm just trying to figure out why the Mormon use this verse so much, and no I don't agree with the LDS organization just a bit curious.
  17. I have read comments on I Ccrinthians 15:29 several times but forgotten what they have said. And I have no clue what this verse is referring to; so does anyone have any idea what it is referring to? "Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?"
  18. Thanks Sir Gareth and OneLight ! This is a great story. I agree with you SamP, God's Word will always prove itself.
  19. Great illustration kat! Yet another reason for me to like President Bush.
  20. That is probably the best answer to this problem Fresno Joe! Whose side are we on, anyway, Mr. Obama? Or did you forget? He'd better not forget....God dealt harshly with Ariel Sharon when he forgot that Israel is God's gift to the Jews. Mr. Obama should take notice. Ain't that the truth MorningGlory! Oh how God loves the nation of Israel: "The Lord has appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee." Jeremiah 31:3
  21. 'Excuse me, are you Jesus?' A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding. ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time, helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight. The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?' She nodded through her tears... He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.' As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister...' He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, 'Are you Jesus?' He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus? That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day. You are the apple of His eye, even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit. Received this email from a friend thought everyone might enjoy it.
  22. Don't know of any Sir Gareth but can't wait to see some answer. Great Question!
  23. Paul84, please explain to me why this is so important to you. After you quoted these verses, I got up and grabbed my NIV and my NASB. Both these versions declare this..."Later mss add the story of the adulterous woman, numbering it as John 7:53-8:11" or "The earliest and most reliable manuscripts and other ancient witnesses do not have John 7:53-8:11". YET, both of my versions still printed the verses. They enter the footnotes, whether true or false, but give the verses anyway. I compared chapter 8 NIV and NASB to my KJV...not much change...the message is still there. This goes out to everyone...if you want to really attack a version...go after such like the NWT or Dake' annotated, now these, distort the 'message'. From the NIV: John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[a] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Now, if we look at all this in context, we can clearly see the NIV isn't try to hide that Jesus is God. one more: 1 Corinthains 8:6 (NIV) 6yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. See how this version of the verse equates God and Jesus? also in doing this, this verse beautifully shows there is not salvation by any other than our Lord Jesus. I must say, I would feel secure enough to give those who aren't supreme in understanding of the old english an NIV so they may understand and hear the word. My opinion only. God bless you In response to what you asked Murse32, which I really don't want to do, because this thread is getting a little to heated. But the serpent first question the Words of God when talking to Eve, before the fall of mankind, See Genesis 3:1. Eve response to the serpent showed she didn't know God's Word see Genesis 3:2-3. If one (especially a new Christian or one who is not mature enough) starts to read these footnotes, and believe me many do, there faith can easily be shaken or even harmed. I remember being in a Bible Study when a young woman asked the question were where verses 44 and 46 in Mark chapter 9, I explained it to her and told her she had to look in her footnotes, she couldn't understand but told me she thought these verses where in the Bible so why did the NIV question them, she ask me. I told her that the Codex Sinaitus and Codex Vaticanius have left these verses out. When I read the information behind these two manuscripts I can't understand why they are held in so high of a regard. I know many say they have an earlier date, but that doesn't mean must to me, especially when I read Paul's words in II Corinthians 2:17: "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ." In the first century the devil was already at work trying to destroy God's Word. Murse32 do you remember the story of Jesus and His baptism, told in Matthew 3:13-17; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 3:21-22. Now where does John the Apostle speek of this. It is not in his gospel, but in his first letter. Let look at the verses of I John 5:7-8 in the KJV and the NIV. KJV "(7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." "(8) And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." NIV "(7) For there are three that testify:" "(8) the Spirit, the water and the blood: and thee three are in agreement." I have no problem with most of verse 8 but do have a big problem with verse 7 in the NIV. I know great Bible Scholars will say it not found in any of the early Greek Manuscripts. If it was just the fact that it wasn't found in early Greek manuscripts I might say the NIV is right but this verse is quoted over and over again by the early believers in the Church. Here are just two example of early believers who quoted I John 5:7 as it appears in the KJV or the Textus Receptus: Cyprian Bishop of Carthage, 200-258AD quotes it as being written by John (vol. v. 418, 423, Ante-Nicene Fathers); Vigilius of Thapaus quotes it in the 5th century and also it is found in the Codex Montfortii. I believe that in Job 16:19 when Job reply to his friends, he gave us a method which God uses. Job said, "Also now, behold my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high." Job a mere mortal said this, so would not God give Himself a record in heaven and a witness on earth. This record in heaven came when Jesus the Son (the Word who descended from heaven see John 1:1,14; 3:31) was baptize and the Holy Spirit descend like a dove upon Him, and the Father voice was heard from heaven (Matthew 3:16-17 also I John 5:7). I know many people don't have a problem with this being left out but I'm not one of them. I know it says law but I believe that Jesus is talking about the Word of God in Luke 16:17. "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail." This is one of many reasons I consider myself to be a KJV only person. As I stated earlier I believe it is up to every individual to decide what version they wish to use I personally believe the KJV is the very Word of God. But if someone wishes to use another version it is between that person and our God. May God bless all of you in this endeavor of discussing His Word and please remember the Love of God in this debate as I stated earlier it is getting very heated. So far I see some great knowledge of the mind on both sides, but not as much heart knowledge. I gotten into debate where I knew I won the arguement til someone showed so much heart knowledge that I had to said there where right. "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." Colossians 4:6 "But sancitified the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
