  1. Since when was China classified as an enemy? Has bloodlust and warmongering got so out of hand that any powerful countries are classified as enemies now?
  2. Only salt water (ocean, sea) fish could be eaten raw. And if you are talking about contamination, cooking it wouldn't help make it any better. Factory farm animals are also contaminated.
  3. Real Human Beings would never eat that stuff.. I would have to consult Chief Dan George to be sure... Wow, you never had sashimi before? I guess you are one of those generation. Most college age and Millennials have had sushi and sashimi. My dad also had his first try at sashimi when he was 50.
  4. How people are murdered in the United States. Around 32% people murdered are not by means of fire arms. http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2012/12/how-people-are-murdered-in-united-states.html
  5. I doubt it. People do what they set their heart to do, the point of viability argument is just an excuse/reason for abortions.
  6. While I agree with your other statements, I doubt that a Christian leader or a Christian government can single handedly make a Nation a Christian nation. Chiang Kai-shek's government rule over Taiwan for a time, but never made it into a Christian nation. The government can promote an atmosphere that support a religion, but it cannot change a nation's religion so drastically. It is true, that US government has intervene and still are intervening with international conflicts out of self interest. It is really naive to think that US government would intervene to help any group of people.
  7. Could be a bit more precise with the title... say "Chinese government" persecution of Christians, not simply Chinese persecution of Christians.
  8. "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold." Matthew 24:12
  9. Sounds like the military contractors are playing their games again. It wouldn't be the first time they push government to allow them to sell their wares to controversial partners. After all, they have been selling weapons to both sides of the fight for some time and funded generously by bankers and indirectly by the government that backs them. It smell like a lot of war profiteering going on, same old story of modern persistent wars.
  10. Now that is a straw man argument, I never said "ruin all drinking water", you knew that is non-sense. Mixing chemicals by hand doesn't really show you know what is in it. Most chemicals you end up mixing would be already combined into mixtures already at a plant, it would be silly to expect a frontline worker to mix 600+ chemicals on site, mixing a hand countable number mixtures of chemicals sound more reasonable. It is also the practice they use to keep soft drink recipes secret, chemicals are pre-mixed into several different portions produced at different plants/companies, then finally mix at the production factory. I have known people mix agent orange by hand, they have no clue what is in it, and the company (Monsanto) knew about how harmful it was at the time and kept it a secret.
  11. Regarding 'pretty harmless' it is simply not true, it is what these companies want you to believe. You are welcome to drink the ground water that is contaminated with fracking fluid to prove me wrong. Toxic compound that is injected down there would go somewhere eventually, ground water system and ground rivers are dynamic and still not really well understood. If it is a truly safe way to dispose of waste chemicals, we would've been injecting nuclear waste in similar fashion. Injecting these fluid down there cause fracturing in the rock, it is impossible to guarantee there would be no leaks that would poison the water supply. Here is a list of chemicals in fracking fluid, remember there are also other chemicals not disclosed because they are proprietary. https://fracfocus.org/chemical-use/what-chemicals-are-used http://www.businessinsider.com/scary-chemicals-used-in-hydraulic-fracking-2012-3?op=1 Simply looking at the list you should identify that methanol, an neurotoxin is very bad for you, there are many others that are carcinogenic. Chemicals are necessary to keep the dirt as a slurry to keep the fractures open to allow the flow of oil and gas.
  12. There are plenty of evidence and research in this area, you just didn't bother looking for them, whether or not these evidence are good/convincing is a different story, but you can't deny that 'they' have not shown any evidence. http://www.earthworksaction.org/issues/detail/fracking_earthquakes#.VUW6p63BzGc Fracking has mostly have to do with gas fields. Here is a map of fracking in Michigan. http://www.michigan.gov/documents/deq/High_Volume_Hydraulic_Fracturing_Activity_MAP_423435_7.pdf And the number of Earthquakes have increased dramatically as of late. http://www.usgs.gov/blogs/features/usgs_top_story/man-made-earthquakes/ I don't know why you would be supporting something like fracking when it has been shown to pollute ground water, with all the chemical water they inject down there.
  13. I bet it has something to do with fracking.
  14. Not really, no where it says that man were created immortal. There wouldn't be need for tree of life if man were immortal to start with and made to become mortal.
  15. Not true, Death is essential for ecological systems to function properly, and it is very good indeed. You would be running into a lot of problem if death and decay doesn't occur in nature. I believe death and the ecological cycle was created from the start, because God stop creating on 7th day, it would take an awful lot of creating to change everything to include the ecological cycle if it wasn't built in to start with. The whole notion of no death pre-fall only applies to mankind. All the verses talking about death entering the world through mankind's sin was talking about humans, and with the focus of spiritual death too.
  16. Makes sense to me oo.With what is going on in our world right now.Why delete our security? There are plenty of other conventional weapons that would could achieve the same objective without the permanent effect of nuclear radiation. It is not necessary to use nuclear weapons these days. Nuclear weapon is a sledge hammer use to level cities not to neutralize military threats.
  17. #4 is true for consumption debt. You should never get into consumption debt. Consumption debt are debt that would never yield a return. There are other kinds of debt that are actually financially wise, and actually works for you.
  18. If you guys won't borrow, how did you guys buy a house? Did anyone of you buy your houses in cash?
  19. I disagree. Using a nuclear weapon is like bring a grenade to a fight in a room. You cannot use it without hurting all parties involved. There has been close call incidents where nuclear weapon was almost launched because cloud reflection was misidentified as warheads by computer.
  20. Blood vessels are sized in such a way that oxygenation should be relatively the same regardless height relatively to the heart like irrigation channel. The height and gravity has nothing to do with oxygenation, the amount of oxygen consumption along the path blood travel does. The further away from the heart (more oxygen consumed) the less oxygen there would be in the blood at that point, because all the intermediate vessels that consume oxygen along the way. If there are no tissue supported by the blood flow, then it doesn't matter how far away, oxygen saturation would still be the same. Oxygen diffusion is not affected by gravity.
  21. Hmm...looks like you haven't read that site or content of my post. You are basically repeating what I just said about ratio. I have made one of this device before with LED circuit board and the works, the site is more than adequate at providing what you need to construct such a device. If your finger is larger, the scattering of light would be different at different frequencies, you would need to recalibrate it, therefore you cannot use the device to compare oxygen saturation between different body parts.
  22. Gravity. If you want to check my hypothesis, stand on your hands for awhile and then re-check... Actually there is a different more scientific explanation. You first have to understand how the pulse oximeter works. The pulse oximeter works by shining infrared light through the finger or toes and measuring the amount of light that pass through (not absorbed) by the hemoglobin in the blood. It calculates the value of oxygen saturation base on the amount of infrared light is absorbed. The more oxygen rich blood the more light is absorbed. However light absorption also depend on the path the light has to travel, since toes are usually thicker than one's fingers, it would result in higher absorption of light compare to fingers leading to a higher reading of oxygen saturation. I can't think of an explanation where gravity would play a role in oxygen saturation unless circulation is poor due to compression of body parts, but this would lead to lower oxygen saturation in lower body parts. It does shine the light through, but that light is actually a misture of red light and infrared light and it figures out the oxygen content by the difference in how much of the two colors are absorbed...... so the thickness of the toe should really not make a difference..... and I usually check it along with my blood pressure while laying down so they are at approximately the same level.... I thought it might have something to to with the nails It does have to do with different scattering of tissue in toes and fingers. The oxygen content is by the ratio of how these light are absorbed. Even a fat finger and a thin finger would show different level of oxygenation. Pulse oximeter is not very accurate at measuring exact oxygen content, but it is good enough at measuring heart rate by the cyclical rise and fail of absorbance of light in blood. http://www.howequipmentworks.com/pulse_oximeter/

  24. I can see how that is. I did a project once that used similar method at measuring heartbeat. The pulseoximeter in hospitals use the same infrared to measure oxygenation in the blood to detect heart rate.
  25. The Bible states that the current creation is subject to law of thermodynamics, which means it falls apart and wears out. God's divine plan is to make destroy the old creation and create a new creation. Extinction of species is part of the wearing out process because it is a net loss of variety and information in the world. "Hebrews 1:10-12 And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.”" The way you argue that extinction is a divine plane doesn't make sense, in it itself. This way you argue, you can say absolutely anything as part of divine plane, this is beyond the realm of reason and logic but an emotional appeal.
