  1. Yes, you have been given some great advice. You will be in my prayers.
  2. Everyone facing the dangers of this massive storm will be in my prayers.
  3. I never attacked anyone, I only attacked the Codex Sinaiticus and the post year 1900s modern version's. I cease because three or more moderators whom I consider friends saw my fact-giving as an attack and there was such a clamor over it that and because I and others put the facts out there, we had said it all, so didn't see any point in proceeding. I know too much to have just been quiet when I started laying out the truth and the Devil railed on me for messing up his work. It took three moderators to convince you of something that should have been obvious. Opinion giving is what you were doing. You validated my post and confirmed that what they say about KJV Onlyists is correct. I can't believe that you just said that every Bible translated past 1900 is a work of the devil. That's sad - I'll pray for you. Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
  4. I am very well familiar with old defense against the "KJV-onlyism" bunch, the tagging, the condemnation, the misrepresenting, et al.., but Iron sharpeneth Iron and I have faith in that we will grow into a richer relationship. I am not interested in Walla's "explanation", it's the same old prejudice, falsely accusing me, it just more hacking up the Body of Christ - Christ is not divided. It's strict KJV Onlyists causing the division. There is no big issue until KJV Onlyists start bashing every Bible except the KJV. This is what's offensive and divisive. You're not as radical and focused on this issue as you used to be, and I give thanks for that.
  5. I use several translations of the Holy Bible almost every day, many times side-by-side for comparison (i.e. KJV, ESV, NASB, Amplified). The ESV and the NASB are running a close race for being the most accurate word for word translations.
  6. Amen! - What a wonderful project and ministry! Their efforts will be in my prayers.
  7. Genesis 8:21-22 NASB The LORD smelled the soothing aroma; and the LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. 22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease."
  8. Amen and Amen! - Beautiful thread and great advice. You and your family will be in my prayers. May God give you peace like only He can give.
  9. I'd agree with that if you take out the word "good" Hum?? - You don't think that Obama is trying to destroy anything good?
  10. They had better let the military vote! Who deserves to vote more than each member of the Armed Services?
  11. I think that the Rapture of the Church which is the Body of Christ will be soon. What a day of rejoicing that will be. I anxiously await His Glorious Appearance to catch us up to meet Him in the air. In the meantime, Christians have work to do - a race, fight, and course to finish. Our goal - the last person added to the Body of Christ. This means sharing the Gospel of the Grace of God and knowing that God's Word will never return void. Isaiah 55:6-13 NASB Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. 12 "For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands. 13 "Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up, And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up, And it will be a memorial to the LORD, For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off."
  12. I firmly believe that Obama's goal is to completely destroy everything good that America used to stand for, so I'll vote for Romney. I have no desire to live in a Socialist or Communist country, but that is exactly what Obama wants.
  13. Corruption and Fraud at the finest! - Thanks for sharing.
  14. 1 Corinthians 2:11-16 NASB 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
  15. The only alternative would be to blindly accept the interpretation of someone else - maybe a pastor or other leader. We should know about the pitfalls of doing that. It would do no good to be of one mind if the conclusion was wrong. No, we are to study the Holy Bible for ourselves and ask God to help us. If we are fortunate, we will have a good pastor and Bible-teaching local assembly to help us. This would still not do away with the need for us to study God's Word for ourselves. We must search the Scriptures like the noble Bereans and see if what we've been told is the truth. Many Bible truths are simple and self-evident - some easy enough for children to understand. Regardless, we have no excuse for failure to study God's Word for ourselves. Fair enough, but where does the interupitation of that study come from, what is the source of the understanding? because if we decide what it means, if it's our understanding of what the bible says, then we are in violation of the very word we are seeking to understand. lean not to our own understanding. Carrying your line of thinking to the extreme would mean that nobody could interpret the Holy Bible. I've stated in every post that we should start our Bible studies with prayer - asking God to help us in understanding. Interpretation in an ideal manner would involve spiritual understanding with the help of the Holy Spirit, so the source would be God.

  17. Jack Kelley is one of my favorite Christian writers. I was blessed by this article and want to thank you for posting it.
  18. Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. The above pertains to all areas of life, including Bible study. Most mature Christians know that praying and asking God for help in understanding is the way to start every Bible study. We are to diligently study and grow in God's Word. We will obviously have an interpretation, and we should know that some areas of God's Word are much more difficult than others to study and understand. What we correctly understand and interpret depends on many things, certainly including how yielded we are to God and our maturity in Bible study. Disagreement with other brothers and sisters in Christ about various portions of Scripture should be expected, especially regarding the deeper things of God's Word. This does not hint that the Holy Spirit of God is responsible for the disagreement. Yes, there will be opinions, and some of those opinions will be wrong. How we handle disagreements becomes important, especially on non-critical issues. There will also be disagreements about what is or is not a critical issue.
