If the patient is vegetative I would pull the plug. Sometimes they are in a respirator but "alive". I got a call one night of one of my patients family asking me what to do since the patient had pull the tube out. I told her to call 911. The paramedics came and did not entubaid her back. She was breathing on her own. That same morning when I went to see her she would not look at me. Normaly I got a nice smile from her. In my opinion she made the decision to either die or live without the respirator .Fez is right if God wants the person to continue to live he would do it.

Did you hate high school because of teachers or income level?
LCE635 replied to jruner's topic in General Discussion
I would love to help. I can't. Raising my daughter has not been a cupcake. I should not have done all what I did for her. She finish college, so what? she still nasty to me despite am having 2 jobs to support her and her brother. She believes that she is entitled to whatever she wants and I have to find a way to get it. She was very mean to her brother. He used to call me crying at work because she would heat him. Now my son is 6' and works out. She cries because she wants a relationship with him. He wants nothing to do with her. Mostly because the way she treats me. -
I have seen many discussions on how to pray. People saying that we don't get the blessing because we pray wrong. It is my understanding that the Holly Spirit "translate" our prayers to the father. Why than we make it so complicated? Am I wrong?

What do you think will happen if you bad mouth your bad mouth on Facebook? you will be terminated. Are your "rights" violated ? Someone in my job postaded something about the administrator and director of nursing having an affair. It was common knowledge, The person was terminated and escorted out of the office. Was makes military different? -
parents that let the child behavior escalate to this point would not keep the kids at home , they are happy for the hours that the child is not home.

Actualy non sugar ice cream is a good thing for a snack before bed. If she was my patient I also would like her to have some peanut butter. She should have her snack right before going to sleep. If she goes to sleep at 10 , 9:45 would be a good time. Don't be too rigid, she will get tired of it and say "to hell with all of this".

. I do see my kids but hate that I am no longer a part of there life. When you do not live with them it is not the same. You miss seeing them everyday and watching them grow and just talking with them before they go to school or when they come home.... As I said before, because you are not living in the same house it does not mean that you can't be on their lives. I don't know how old they are but you have the right and obligation to spend time with them. Not just "see" them. If your housing situation permits I would advise you to take them overnight and spend the wend with them. If they are too little and you think you can't handle them get a female from your family or hire a baby sitter to help you. My children's emotional help have been very damaged by father that just "saw" them, I don't want the same to happen to yours.

lazardous, I am very sorry about what happened to you. I went trough the same thing. I had the kids. Deeply depressed, almost lost my mind. Only my children know the hell that the went trough. A depressed mother and a father that very seldom was with them. Please don't forget that your children are suffering too. You need to spend time with them. It really does not matter how painful it may be for you. ThE CHILDREN NEED YOU. Also if she is depressed she needs someone to take care of the so she can relax. It is not easy to have to cook every meal and clean if all what you want to do is be in bed. My daughter at that time was only 12 but she can of took charge. It was not her job. Go spend easter with your side of the family. Things will get better. Buy the kids an easter outfit, if you can afford. Time makes things less painful. I still get angry at times but it gets better.

Homeless Mother Dies In Jail After Hospital Gives 'Clear' For

That is a danger that all of us health care professionals face. I worked as an RN in the Er for 5 years. We become insensitive and judgmental with time. I left the ER and so help me God will never go back. I did not like the person that I became. -

Muslim immigrants to Australia want free holidays "home"
LCE635 replied to ~candice~'s topic in World News
I would agree with them ONLY IF the US would pay my kids and my airfare to Brasil every year. I have the RIGHT to visit my parents and my kids have the RIGHT to know their grandparents and the government and taxpayer should make it possible. What a joke. -
you are right, we will see. A teenager can drive you bananas.

Did you read the whole story? His daughter had previously bad-mouthed her parents on Facebook. He gave removed her computer rights and gave her a tongue lashing. It did not work! He made his punishment public to her FB wall because she spoke vile things against her parents in public on FB, and many of her friends thought it "cute". So, as he said in the video, he was teaching them a lesson as well. Do you have any experience trying to discipline a teen with the kind of attitude she expressed? You know neb, you've made me think. I see teens/elementary age/toddlers all the time behaving horribly in public. While their parents cower and shhh shhh them so as not to make a scene. Kids can throw public fits and speak vile things...but when a parent disciplines publicaly they are demonized. I don't mean beating your child in public either...but latching hold and taking them out is ok with me. I mean out to leave, not "taking them out" as in smiting them....lol yep, remember it well.

I have a very, very difficult daughter. I do realize that I am in part guilty for her behavior. Many, many times I have considered filling charges against her to the authorities when he used my credit card without my authorization . The reason I did not is because i spended about $ 60,000 on her college education and really don't want to put a record on her. If I do she will not be able to get a job and since I am a softy I will have to support her for ever. Good for him that had the guts to do what he did.

Woman Who Killed Infant Freed by Canada’s Pro-Abortion Law
LCE635 replied to nebula's topic in The Universal Moral Law
What really concerns me is that other women in the same situation will do the same. 3 months in prison is nothing compared with the responsibilities and heart ache that parenthood will bring. How many of us went into agony on seeing our kids suffer. The guilt of not been able to provide for them. The heart ache when our beloved child is mistreated by a spouse. The pain in seeing they making wrong choices, sometimes the same wrong choices that we made and there is absolutely nothing that we can do about. Killing and infant without punishment is taking the easy way out, many. many will follow. -
Honey Could Be Effective at Treating and Preventing Wound Infections
LCE635 replied to nebula's topic in General Discussion
That is an awful commentary, yet you may be correct. I know it is awful but people, including me, have a hard time understanding and believing that God does things to us, including salvation, just because he loves us. In this world almost everything has a catch and that is what we are use to. -

Don't go for it because they have studied the issue and do not believe it? Or because they are not allowed to due to drug company influence? But anyway, this comes from Science Daily. I would think that has some credibility to it? I absolute believe on it. Part of the problem is that the patients have been so wired by the commercial on TV. They WILL get offended if the doctors tell them to use honey instead of giving them a prescription to an expensive medication. Zinc oxide, is inexpensive about $ 3 a tube, is the best thing out there to protect from bed sores. I tell my patients but the ones that have money prefer to spend $ 30 on a tube of "something" that contains 10% of zinc oxide. Cold sores and even genital or other kind of herpes, I learned with a philipino doctor to use the "juice" of sour craut (spelling), you know the sour cabbage . The Person shold put it on as soon as the itch starts and will kill the virus and not let the sores develop , people prefer to pay a fortune on a 1gr of ointment. We like to believe that what costs money is better. If doctors recommend things that are out there in the nature, they professional knowledge will be questioned. Guess is just human nature. I believe much more people would accept salvation if they had to pay for, lol. -

The sad thing is that the doctors don't go for it. If I know someone that has a wound, and that is not my patient that is what I tell them to do. If I tell one of my patients I know my buses license will be taking away. -
I started this tread last year, June or July, here is an update : my friend was discharged form hospice on November, as per guidelines she should have die before that. I did not see her for many months, her family kind of kept everybody away. I was afrai to call again and be told that she was gone. She called me 2 wks ago, I just sat on my car and run to see her, I did miss her a lot. She looks so good. I don't know if her kidneys are functioning well but she is not retaining fluids. Some of you know that I am an RN, I did a head to toe nurses exam on her. She is doing soooooo well. She is living on overtime, lol. Thanks for those who prayed, and YES GOD DO STILL PERFORMS MIRACLES.

Could you vote for a Mormon in the Whitehouse?
LCE635 replied to JohnD's topic in General Discussion
It really does not matter. Almost all the presidents claimed to be christians, showed up in church once in a while. Buy the end the all lie, bend to pressure of the donors and party. Everywhere the real president are the people that have the money to elect them. -
andy. You should not think about this for now. The hormones are playing a number on you. Take one day at a time. First have your baby and take it from there. Why do you think giving the embryos for adoption would be a sin? I don't think so.

I am angry, sick to my stomach, honestly i want to vomit. The late rumors are that the heads of the University did not report the accusations of sodomy of young boys, guess why? Because the boys were also been "given" to the entertainment of big donors. My son is applying to that school I am not sure I want him to go there anymore. What would you do?
