  1. lol! Once again, a scientific study at an extremely liberal New York University proves God's human creation to be as the Bible indicates.
  2. Many times, scpripture tells us to do something in generalities. Scripture says it is good and right to worship God. But doesn't tell us how to worship. In a communal setting, where all people involved worship together, it is better to worship in a common way. Since scripture doesn't give us details, men setup a system of communal worship. Since worship is something we should do, but without specifics, we are free to setup our 'tradition'. In other words, Jesus did not oppose traditions, as long as the traditions did not go against scripture. In reality, Jesus participated in many Jewish traditions without objecting to them. As long as a tradition does not go against scripture, traditions are fine. Scripture tells us over and over in the Psalms about how to worship God... Speaking of praises, singing psalms, and hymns and spiritual songs,... Declare His glory among the nations....... Let us sing to the Lord and make a joyful noise...... Give thanks to Him and Bless His name....Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! These, but not limited, are all forms of worship. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24 Serve only Him, not man. By serving God only, (not idols) you are worshipping only Him. Acts 10:26, John 5:21 The list of ways to worship God is throughout the scriptures and is endless.
  3. I left a high tech hospital nursing job with a very large salary by my own volition because of this. I did medical missions which was exceptionally very rewarding, with no pay, and I loved it. I then started my own business making organic body creams from plant oils, which is starting to take off. I get hospital recruiting letters all the time who will pay me a $20,000 sign on bonus and up ( up front) if I would contract to work for them. I get letters from the Department of Health asking me to come and work for them. No hospital or company could pay me enough to work for them. What I am doing is much more fun, and my creams are helping so many people that I could never go back into the system and work for any administration who doesn't give a darn about the nursing staff or the patients who pay their salary. In my spare time, which is limited, I do volunteer nursing work for free.
  4. Americans who sign up for insurance on the state exchanges may not have access to the nation's top hospitals, Watchdog.org reports. The Obama Administration has been claiming that insurance companies will be competing for your dollars under the Affordable Care Act, but apparently they haven't surveyed the nation's top hospitals. Americans who sign up for Obamacare will be getting a big surprise if they expect to access premium health care that may have been previously covered under their personal policies. Most of the top hospitals will accept insurance from just one or two companies operating under Obamacare. Read More Which Top Hospitals Take Your Health Insurance Under Obamacare?
  5. I completely agree. It was designed to fail from the get go so the gov't. can now come in and fix what they set up to fail with a single payer.
  6. There are risks we have to live with if we want to be people with rights that are actually respected by the state. Of course encroachment always starts in teh name of safety, but once the precedence is set there is no going back. There are also risks for following Christ “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24 Dare I ask, how is that a response to what the discussion is? I was responding to your reply, not the discussion. I thought that was obvious.

  8. Sometimes I have to wonder if we are missing something. I mean, it seems that people are expecting to see some big prophecies fulfilled like quickly... and it's done. I have come to the understanding that those big end time prophecies like Isaiah 17:1, and Rev. 8:11 are being fulfilled over a time frame, like in a slow motion sort of way, that you barely see it, and if you aren't watching closely, you will miss it. Could we be so busy being preoccupied and waiting for certain prophecies in Revelation to be fulfilled that we can't see the forest for the trees? Some are waiting for everything to be crammed into a seven year trib period, while others think a three and one-half year period, with a big literal blast of the trumpet announcing them and they may be missing the fact that fulfillment of some of these prophecies has already begun. For instance, the massive die offs of sea animals we have seen over the past few years and still happening. This is an unprecedented event. This very well could be the prophetic fulfillment of one third of sea life being killed as foretold. It doesn't necessarily have to be in one massive die off bang, it's done. People need to realize that one-third of sea life could very well already be on the way to be gone. Tribulation first/rapture second. There will be a great falling away and suffering of the saints.. How unfortunate it is for those who do not see that great tribulation covers a great portion of the earth for those who abide in Christ; even more unfortunate it is for those who do not see that the great falling away and great suffering of God's saints has been happening for many years, so much so that those "in the church" cannot see it. Slow motion now then boom! Joel 2:1 Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; it is near

  10. I wonder why the pastor asked the attacker's girlfriend if she felt safe in front of the attacker According to the article the girl had not indicated that she felt threatened, so it was not necessary or needed for the pastor to pry into their personal business in front of the attacker. I think this was a very stupid thing to do on the part of the pastor and this attack could possibly been avoided if the pastor kept his mouth shut in the first place. Not too bright for a pastor.
  11. I heard about this today on my local Christian station news, and it was reported that there were thousands of dogs dead, not 600; also it was reported that the jerky treats came from China. I never let anyone, friend or stranger give my 'Bear' any treats whatsoever, and I have been making his food rather than purchasing it. Even the natural food I was feeding him caused allergic reaction so I now boil up a batch (1 pound) of organic ground turkey together with 2 cups of brown rice, and when it is cooked completely I mix in 8 ounces of organic broccoli and carrots that I steam, and throw in a cut up apple. 'Bear' loves it and he gets all of the proper nutrients and his food allergy completely disappeared.
  12. Of course. While God is eternal, and time has no meaning, eternity starts for us humans the day we are born
  13. I have a problem with this. As far as I know, there is no clause or law in the constitution that gives special treatment to those elected officials (servants) to amend.
  14. I don't get what the writer of the article is so upset about. Anytime someone from a dark world is given the platform from the secular media to speak against brutal persecution of girls and women from the Islamic world is a good thing in my opinion. God may very well be using her to fulfill his will to free Islamic women in bondage to the devil. If you watched the video, WW, you could not help but notice the girl's Christian heart and character as she spoke. Being muslim, and wearing a headscarf, she refers to God as God, not allah. Her words to me mean she has a Christian heart, and who knows, she may be a believer in Christ for her salvation. Her life has been threatened again if she keeps speaking out for girls in the dark world of islam. She says she will not be silenced. Death can't hurt her. She probably has to be protected constantly. Perhaps she does not want her enemy and our enemy to know her true faith at this time?
  15. I am sure the pre-trib crowd will have another theory to explain this.
  16. True, Judas was most likely water baptized with the other apostles whom Jesus chose, and he worked along with all of the apostles as you say, but he lost this privileged position when he betrayed Jesus. I do not agree that Judas was operating at this time under the power of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit was not given to the apostles until after our Lord's Resurrection, and Judas was no longer around. We see from scripture that while a measure of the Holy Spirit was always present on the earth as we see all through the old testament that prophets and men of God were filled with the Holy Spirit for special purposes and times, we also see Jesus breathing on the apostles and filling them with the Holy Spirit (John 20:22) all but Judas and Thomas, experienced this infilling. It appears that Thomas did not believe Jesus was really alive, I'm not sure if today if a person did not believe in the resurrection of Christ if they would be considered a true believer we see earlier Jesus sending out the twelve with power, from a biblical standpoint the power has always been the Holy Spirit, I'm not sure how you could equate doing any miracles without the Holy Spirit in operation, clearly the bible refers to the twelve going out and all twelve experienced what is written they experienced. otherwise it would of said "When Jesus had called the eleven together, He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,"( Luke 9:1) I'm not sure how it could be explained that an unbeliever could operate in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, I know a lot of folks seem to want to say Judas wasn't a believer, but I don't believe the bible teaches that assumption. Again, the scripture you refer to in John 20:22 is after Jesus rose from the dead, (when he breathed on them) not before. In Luke 9, the apostles were operating on the authority of Jesus, (which also proved who Jesus was) just as Peter walked on the water in Matthew 14:22-33 when Jesus commanded him to "Come". from the bible we see that the power of the Holy Spirit did not vary in significance of either power or authority whether it was before Christ died or after, clearly even before Jesus died on the cross He had authority over every demon and evil spirit, thus He was able to give that same authority to His twelve disciples, I guess you can either believe that Judas was included with the twelve or he wasn't, the bible says he was um... Michael, look above and you will see that I did say that Judas was included with the twelve (until he lost this privilege and betrayed Jesus).. My point was he did not receive God's Holy Spirit as the others did, because he wasn't around when Jesus breathed on the others, and when the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost. My point also is that the apostles were operating with Jesus on the authority of Jesus and His name, but did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit until after Jesus' resurrection. If the apostles had the indwelling Holy Spirit, Peter and the others would not have been overcome with fear when they witnessed Jesus walking on the water during the storm. Jesus told them "Be of good cheer, it is I; be not afraid". At this time, Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water" And then Jesus commanded Peter "Come". Peter began to walk on the water to go to Jesus, but again became afraid when he saw the wind boisterous and began to sink, saying "Lord, save me". Matthew 14: 24-31. Peter clearly in this situation did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit or faith in Jesus, was operating on Jesus' commands and was overcome with fear and doubt unlike after Jesus' Resurrection when Peter was filled with power to preach and boldness to overcome due to the indwelling Holy Spirit and faith in Jesus. He was a new man.

  18. I don't think for one minute Michael was afraid of the devil because he told the devil the Lord rebuke you referring to Jude 1:9 (where Michael and the devil are contending over Moses' body and Michael tells the devil "The Lord rebuke you"). I think Michael the archangel had enough discernment to know that he should not get in a heated confrontation with the devil, so he told him what he did. Recognizing that the devil is under God's authority, Michael did not overstep his authority, but put the devil where he belonged under the Lord's feet. Michael knew his boundaries and did not overstep them by railing with the devil. A good lesson for us all to grasp, which is what the short one chapter book of Jude is about.

  20. That was so cool! The vets are true patriots, and most vets I know are Christian. Not saying all vets love the Lord, but a great amount of them do. And most I know would do anything for their neighbor. Most of these vets have lost and sacrificed so much, families, friends, limbs, and yet, they would guard the memorials during the "shutdown" or clean up the area without pay, giving their own time, and sacrificing their own money, unlike those who are talking about or worried about where their next pay check will come from.

  22. Malala Meets With Obama... Malala Yousafzai tells Obama drones are 'fueling terrorism' Posted by Lesley Clark on October 11, 2013 President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama met in the Oval Office Friday with Malala Yousafzai, the Pakastani girl who was shot in the head on her school bus by Taliban gunmen for criticizing their rule, including banning education for girls. The White House says the first couple invited Malala -- the youngest ever nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize -- to the White House "to thank her for her inspiring and passionate work on behalf of girls education in Pakistan."
