  1. . On a side note, it annoys me to no end when people who have never had to deal with a mental illness try to tell me that medication doesn't work. IT DOES WORK! Yes,I have seen people who were stick thin and then they go on a particular medication and they can gain over 100 lbs.It can totally change your metabolism.I have seen a person eat three times what I can eat and they are skinny as a pole.Metabolism plays a very important part of it.A woman can go into menapause and OOPS there goes the metabolism.My wedding dress was a size 4 and believe me I could not get into it now. Obesity seems to be an American problem these days. Excluding medical and metabolic reasons, this will not sit well with some, but I think many obese people that I have seen with fat buldging out on their sides, thighs, arms, etc. are just lazy and addicted to eating with poor nutrition habits who are bored and have nothing to do. I personally know people who do this and I have seen these type of people at Country Buffet Cafeterias who load up their plates and return for a second round plus dessert afterwards. The FDA and people in the medical profession are gaining ground in blaming everything on mental illness such as alcholism, drug addiction, smoking, etc. rather than holding people accountable for their own self-destructive bad habits. Irregardless of whether strict muslims receive a physical mark on their foreheads, I am of the opinion that the mark the scripture speaks of in Revelation 13:17 can be a spiritual mark. This is not a physical mark, but of a spiritual nature, and is given to those by Christ who profess His name. Likewise, the mark of the beast can be all those who follow Islam and Sharia which identify them who profess the name of allah and his (false) prophet.   9. The DC bike'rs rally was not a protest, it was to honor those who died on 911 and to honor our troops. And I disagree with you that most bikers are not of Christ's church. We have had bikers come through my city by the thousands who sponsor fund raising events for some worthy cause to help others, and before heading out after a night over they gather together for a prayer of thanks to our Lord in Jesus name. They do it publically and make a tremendous witness. Most bikers are true Americans, love God and country and support the troops. I read from people who were there that the biker count was at least 800,000 minimum. I think that is quite impressive. Truth be known, the count was probably close to 1.5 million, but you will never hear that from the left media complex. First, the star they followed was something not normally in the sky-which means it was likely something god put in place special for that reason and likely disappeared after the fact-so any attempt to figure out the actual day from the stars is folly-as its based on the faulty assumption that the star is still there or it was something natural. Second, is your assumption that the wise men showed up the day of his birth. Fact is most scholars believe they didn't find Jesus until months, if not 2 or 3 years after Christ was born and there's nothing in scripture or otherwise that state they even showed up on his birthday. So basically that's why you don't base your belief in astrology. Its full of faulty assumptions and lacking in facts. I remember hearing about a book written about this several years ago. Anyway, here is something I found on line that I thought was interesting for all of those who seem to misunderstand or question what you are referring to in you comments above. This might help explain. Vega ("He Shall Be Exalted"), Procyon("The Redeemer"), Pollux ("He Who Comes to Suffer"); The names of the stars speak of the Messiah, Jesus! The stars are awesome evidence of God's work. It appears that God had an additional purpose in the stars. When you closely examine the names of the stars and constellations, it appears they tell an important story of salvation. For example, among the brightest stars seen from the earth are Vega which means He Shall Be Exalted, Procyon which means The Redeemer and Pollux which means He Who Comes to Suffer. Although the information presented here cannot be substantiated except by the star and constellation names themselves, there does appear to be an incredible "coincidence" that the names and pictures of the stars and their constellations should completely and without modification fit the Biblical account. Scripture doesn't speak much about the stars and their use in describing God's plans. We do know that God created and named the stars (Gen 1:14, Psalm 147:4). It seems reasonable that He might have used the stars as an eternal sign to man of His salvation plan. A Harvard Medical School psychologist, Irving Kirsch, who has been studying placebo effects for three decades, recently came up with the documented conclusion that pharmaceutical anti-depressants don't work. Drug companies pay the FDA for approving their drugs. But the FDA doesn't do the trials or reports. They simply take them from the drug companies who all do their own trials and decide which reports to publish and submit. Kirsch discovered that most anti-depressant trials showed no proof of efficacy. Those results were simply hidden from view. So if 12 tests were done, and only two showed any efficacy at all, those two would be submitted to the FDA, and the FDA would essentially say "pay your fee and go to market."
