  1. I answered the question, but you seem to be having trouble with it. We all have sinned, but there is a way to be cleansed from sin, and this is the gospel in a nutshell... 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  3. Scripture tells us, you must "try the spirits whether they are of God", to see if they are true. As it says "that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" So there is great danger out there and many will fall for the lies and deceptions of these demonic spirits..
  4. No, Christ has to be in you and you in Christ and He will cleanse you and you be transformed, that is sanctification. You put on Christs robe of righteousness, and are changed, Gods mercy and grace will not change you if you do not turn away from sin and to Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Many claim they are saved by grace and so can go on sinning. But once it has been revealed and you've seen the truth, if you then go on with sin and continue rejecting the Spirit, you are danger of taking the path that Judas took who Christ gave grace and revealed his sin so he could repent of what he was doing. Judas thought he could control the outcome and influence Christ into what he thought things should be, but ended up doing the devils handiwork..... Grace has its limits and to think we can receive the truth then continue to sin with no danger of damnation are absolutely wrong, it is a terrible thing to receive grace then still continue in sin and anger God who in His mercy gave grace. Sanctification is the path to be ready to go before God and does not leave you full of your sin and iniquity to meet your Saviour. But people just want to hear the easy path without even thinking about it, but there are consequences to that as Jesus made clear..   5. No, when you repent, you turn from sin and to Christ, not continue in it. This is Sanctification versus the Justification, and those who are saved will not be under the bondage of sin and full of iniquity when probation closes and Christ comes to reward every man according to his works. Either the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the reward of the just, or still under the devils hold and damnation of the unjust at the Lake of Fire.   10. I never said "by my own efforts" as you try to imply, it is always through Christ, and He says it clearly and unequivocally.. Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

  12. Well, its not of God that is clear if it turns you away from Gods Word and denies what Christ says. Now if you look deeper, the law is based on God's holy nature and as such scripture states are holy, just, and unchanging, and we see this in the Ten Commandments. But then you also have the ceremonial law which focused the people’s attention on God and gave the people signs that point to the coming Messiah, such as the Passover, and the sacrifices of the unblemished lamb by the priests. One was written with Gods own finger, and the other was from Moses. Matthew 5:17-19 King James Version (KJV) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. We see here that Jesus stated "Think not that I am come to destroy the law..but to fulfill", what did He mean? Now, since Jesus knew what laws His death would fulfill, would He be saying this about the Ten Commandments if He were going to fulfill them? So what was He fulfilling, it seems clear it was what pointed to Him, Moses’ ceremonial law which is evident if we see what Jesus said when asked. Mark 12:28-31 King James Version (KJV) 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The Ten Commandments are arranged in two groups, the first group, from one to four, deal with our relationship to God, the second group, from five to ten, deal with our relationship to one another. When we read Matthew 22:37-40, it is obvious that it is the Ten Commandments Jesus is talking about. So did Jesus want to do away with the Ten Commandments or did He came to fulfill that which pointed to Him as the Lamb of God, the ceremonial law of Moses, I think its plain to see..

This text contains the basic elements of both covenants and also helps in understanding them. The old covenant has the time, "I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt". It has the covenant partners, "I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:" It has the covenant objective, "I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. It has the covenant conditions, "my law" Now let’s look at the new covenant in Hebrews 8:8-10: “8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" Using the same passage which is repeated, the same elements are found for the New Testament. These promises are a divine provision covering not only a transformation of man but also God's participation in it.
  15. If the 'spirit' turns you away from what Christ says, then it is not the 'Holy Spirit' but another. lets see what Christ says... And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. 1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. I think a Christian would hold on to and believe what Christ says and the scripture clearly shows, rather than a 'spirit' that teaches against it...

  17. That was the ceremonial laws, need to study your Bible on this. Take a look starting at verse 14, Col 2:14-16 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:" This verse is referring to the ceremonial law or Mosaic Law and this is evident by the inclusion of the "new moon" phrase as well as reference to the meat and drink offerings that would take place (compare to Leviticus 23:37). There are two sets of laws in play here, two types of sabbaths; one was described as being grievous to us (Col.2:14-16), and the 10 Commandments which were not grievous to us (1 John 5:3). How can the same law be grievous and not grievous at the same time? It cannot; clearly there are two sets of laws. Additionally, there isn't a single "ordinance" in the 10 Commandments. Now its clear that God made the Sabbath at Creation and even reminded the children of Israel in the wilderness even before the 10 Commandments were given to them on the stone tablets.... The word Sabbath comes from a Hebrew word that means “to rest from labor.” God not only blessed it but sanctified it and thus is holy which means something that is sacred or dedicated to God. So it is not just to "teach obedience", it is sacred and for those who follow God how you show your love for Him by keeping the Sabbath day holy not just say you do then turn away to your own ways and desires.
