  1. It's good to hear some good news. Congratulations! here is something to say that might bring more power. " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "
  2. I assume you have never studied the origin of different versions of the New Testament. Several are valid and acceptable, none are flawless translations. But that issue was irrelevant when this Scripture was written. But the word of God, when it was written, was and is complete, seeing as how we have several accurately translated versions. That's not a problem. And who said that the completed word of God would make us perfect like God is perfect? It doesn't. When we FOLLOW His word and imitate Him in our actions, we become like Him. Also, the word is teleois, not To' te'leion. Teleois means complete. So we are in fact NOT talking about heavenly perfection. That is incorrect. I have also already addressed this position on the passage. Nebula brought it up earlier, I believe. The problem with taking that notion is that you're therefore saying that love will disappear after that which is perfect has come. If you group it with faith and hope saying that they only NOW abide, as opposed to that which is perfect which will THEN come, you're saying that love will fail or vanish AFTER that which is perfect has come. The word "now" doesn't mean "in this instant," it means "however," or "therefore." It cannot mean "only at this time." Also, the three things that remain are DIRECTLY CONTRASTED with those things that will fail. So the three will clearly abide AFTER that which is perfect has come. And the verse doesn't say it has already come. It doesn't need to. All we need to decide is what it is talking about, and then we will know if it has come or not. So, in summary, you cannot say that those three things (faith, hope and love) abide only BEFORE that which is perfect has come, because love will abide forever (1 Corinthians 13:8) and also because the things that remain contrast those things that will fail (spiritual gifts - verse 8) and those things will fail because they will be done away with when that which is perfect has come. New man, "now' means exactly what it means in Greek. Take a look at the bleletter bible and read it in greek translation Now (at present) Greek word arti strongs # G737 just now, this momentnow at this time, at this very time, this moment I didn't say love wouldn't abide forever because verse 8 says it would. Of course love will abide forever. Love will be NOW and THEN because Scriptures say so. Faith and hope won't because we will be present with the Lord. It's talking about the Lord's coming just like the rest of the books in the bible. How can the word of God make us perfect if our interpretations are imperfect. Is it possible your religious teachings have swayed your interpretations of these scriptures or your lack of visual evidence if the gifts at work?.
  3. Demographics of the Muslim people will change the world as we know it. As Muslim population increases, they gain political power and with this power is the ability to change laws. The book “America alone” talks a little about this: Illuminated with wit and wisdom by Mark Steyn: The hidden reason that the problem of Islamic jihad has exploded across the world since 1970· The likely outcome of today's global situation, in which Islam is militarily weak but ideologically confident -- while the West is militarily strong but ideologically insecure · Disquieting implications of the fact Islam is a religion, not a race or nationality (as it is commonly portrayed in the West) -- and an explicitly political religion at that · The correlation between the structural weaknesses of the social-democratic state and the rise of a globalized Islam · Why the problem Europe faces today is not one of race, but of culture · How mosques in the West serve as recruiters for the jihad and play an important role in ideological subordination and cell discipline As the Muslim population increases in America it won’t be long before we’re under Shariah law. Check out this video on Muslim population growth. youtube.com/watch?v=6-3X5hIFXYU
  4. I'm assuming by the way you say we will "be face to face" and that you say we will be "made perfect in Christ" that you think "that which is perfect" is the coming of Christ. Well, first of all, it doesn't say we will "be" face to face. It says we will see face to face. As in clearly. It doesn't necessarily mean that we will BE face to face. But in those times, the only way to see something clearly was with your own eyes, in person, face to face. Seeing through a mirror dimly is describing how clearly we understand God's word. So seeing face to face is how clearly we will understand God's word when that which is perfect has come. Also, the only time in the Bible that I'm aware of where the phrase "perfect in Christ" appears, talking about Christians, is in Colossians 1:28, and it's talking about having wisdom, not being together with Christ in heaven. In addition to those points, the text argues against your position. If "that which is perfect" is us being made perfect in Christ, having heavenly bodies and therefore being with Christ IN heaven, then verse 13 is incorrect. It says faith, hope, and love will all three outlast spiritual gifts. Remember the contrast. Verse 8 says spiritual gifts will fail, whereas love never fails, and verses 9 and 10 talk about our knowledge being partial, not complete. Then, verse 13 says "these things abide" or "these three remain," in contrast to those things which will fail (spiritual gifts). Therefore, it is proven from the text that faith, hope, and love will abide after spiritual gifts have vanished away, and after that which is perfect has come (because that which is perfect shall replace spiritual gifts, and partial knowledge). But if that which is perfect is our dwelling in heaven with heavenly bodies like Christ, then how can faith and hope abide after that time? Faith sure can't, because our faith will be replaced by sight. Faith is evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) and hope is the desiring for things not yet come to pass. We hope for a home in heaven with Christ, so if we are already in heaven with Christ, how can hope abide? It cannot. Therefore, "that which is perfect" cannot be the coming of Christ, or our being made like Christ (as in having incorruptible bodies). BY THE WAY: the word perfect means COMPLETE, not FLAWLESS as you are trying to make it say. You're trying to say our bodies are imperfect because they are corruptible and that we will have incorruptible bodies when we are with Christ and will therefore be perfect at that time. However, that has nothing to do with what's being talked about here, because we're talking about completion, not about flawlessness. By discussing Scripture. Want to start? Or should we continue with this pointless conversation? If you don't want to discuss the Bible, that's fine with me, I've found someone who will. PLEASE read the adverb to get the timing of when things will happen in the verses below. Your correct about not needing faith and hope in God's presence, because completeness and perfection haven't come! v13 says now (present tense) these three remain... 1 Corinthians 13 New International Version 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness (perfect) comes, what is in part disappears. (Where in this verse does it say that completeness or perfection has already come? The key word is "when" and it means some future time. You can not say that perfect has already come without adding to the word of God.) 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. (talks about a Christians maturity) Verses 12,13 are clarifying whats written in v 8-11 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Now is the presnt and then means in the future (in God's presence).
  5. I don't see why He would need to. He tells us everything we need to know in our Bible. Everything that pertains to life and godliness. Can you show me from the Bible a verse that tells us we will need direct cerebral revelation when God has already told us about all things that pertain to life and godliness? If you mean do I know that He would be unhappy with something I did or did not do, then yes. In the case you were speaking of, I would remember what Solomon says in Proverbs 15:1 - "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." or "Be angry and do not sin..." Ephesians 4:26. God has revealed these things to me through His written word. Why would I need Him to go into my mind and say "Nuh uh! Not good!" if He's already told me? Please explain. Name things that are specific and I will show you what the Bible says on such matters. I cannot list every verse for every specific topic, so I listed the ones about the generalities that you mentioned. If you want ME to be more specific, be more specific yourself. Are you saying He guides me by speaking into my mind? Again, explain why He would do that when I have all the instruction I could possibly need already written in the Bible. He guides me by placing in my life the people and opportunities I need, and by allowing me to escape temptation. Have you ever needed anything from God? The way you speak is that you don't place any importance in the Holy Spirit??? John 16 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
  6. GLORY BE TO GOD! We have a TRUE BELIEVER on our hands Did Jesus tell us that he was not able to heal everyone whom had FAITH to be healed, and that we must seek Egypt for our healing? I think not!! I praise your friend for her faith, because without faith, it is impossible to please God. When you call on a mechanic to fix your car, do you bring backup? When you seek God to heal you, do you bring back up? That is what is wrong with Christianity, they have no faith in God. They ask God to heal them, then immediately go to a man to seek the things they can see to believe for them to heal, and when they appear healed the first fruit praise of their lips goes to the physician or medication/sorcery(Strongs Concordance) or something that they did. The JUST shall walk by faith, meaning we are to believe God for all things BEFORE we will ever see them. Ungodly man must hear a man words that all is well or see a pill or medication to ingest in order to receive a counterfiet healing. For it is only by the Word that you can truly be healed. Dis-eases and sickness come due to sin. When you allow yourself to be tempted by the devil and you throw down the Rod/Word of truth, then the enemy comes to torment your mind with worries, fears, stress, anxieties and that is the cause of many of our diseases because God did not give us a spirit of fear and unbelief but one of power, love and of a sound mind. The kingdom of God is about believing and looking to God and God alone for all our care, provison protection and health. Man believes mans words without question, before they will take God at His Word. If you read in the sunday paper that there is going to be a sale on something that you are needing. You don't question it by calling them up and say PROVE IT! You take them at their word and you just show up. That is the faith that God is looking for in us. Believe in what His Word says, that you receive what you ask for and you shall have what so ever you have put your trust and faith in Him for. Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. KJV We must have faith NOW, not only when Christ returns. Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. KJV James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And THE PRAYER OF FAITH SHALL HEAL THE SICK, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. KJV Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18.They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.KJV The enemy wants you to believe that healing in the name of Jesus is not for today, that it died off so that we will all perish, when healing was only a stand of faith away! Jesus said that to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God on this earth to every creature, so this means show them the signs of the kingdom ways, even untill he comes and heal all those who will believe, speaking in tongues, no pesticides over prayed sanctified foods would harm you, release those captives of the devil who stay in the bondage of sinful behavior and cast out the unclean spirits who are subject to those who know who they are in Christ. Amen!. In the Gospels Jesus healed ALL out of compassion and love. Jesus wants us to do the same.
  7. God bestowed His spirit in us so that we have God's power (Eph 3.20) to do the works He did (John 14:12). All works are done out of love for His creation and to God's glory. Our loving God's desires for us is to be: 3 John1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (satan wants it the other way). God is using faithful Christians, who believe, to do the works that He wants us to do. How would any Christian know if they had the gift of healing if they didn't step out in faith and lay hands on someone? Jesus was teaching the disciples about the power of God Matthew 21:21 and the importance of faith and believing. Even if commanded by scripture?
  8. Posted: 04/01/08 The Chilling Truth about Global Warming Reality Check #2 By Brannon S. Howswe If you're beginning to get the idea that Global Warming as we know it is a myth, congratulations. But have you stopped to wonder who's behind all this myth-mongering? There are three primary players: 1. Cosmic Humanists (New Agers). These folks believe in pantheism, that all is god and god is all and mother earth should be worshipped. Radical environmentalists and animal rights extremists--many of whom come from this group--place more value on the earth and animals than on humans. 2. Globalists and socialists. Globalists-many of whom haunt the United Nations--intend to erode America's national sovereignty and create a one-world government. The United Nations' Global Warming treaty--the Kyoto Protocol--would seriously damage America's free enterprise system and yet it does not even apply to some of the world's biggest polluters such as China and India. 3. Scientists and think-tanks. You've heard the old saying, "follow the money"? When you follow the trail behind the GW myth, it leads you to "scientists" who are willing to say anything to keep government grant money flowing their way. Some studies place U.S. government spending on climate change as high as $4 billion dollars per year. Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center, explains how this works in an article entitled "Fanatics, Heretics and the Truth about Global Warming": Simply put, scientists know where the grants will come from to pay their salaries. Dr. Patrick Michaels, a leading opponent to the global warming scaremongers, calls it the federal/science paradigm. He describes it this way: Tax $ = Grants = Positive Feedback Loop to Get more Grants. Says Dr. Michaels, "What worker bee scientist is going to write a proposal saying that global warming is exaggerated and he doesn't need the money? Certainly no one wanting advancement in the agency! There is no alternative to this process when paradigms complete with each other for finite funding." The only ones who can openly oppose the party line of the day are those who don't need the grants or who have some other source of funding. There aren't many[1]. DeWeese goes on to detail why there is so much money in the Global Warming racket: The money is in global warming because it's being pushed by a political agenda that wants power. They want power in Washington, power on the international stage, power over economic development, power over international monetary decisions, and power over energy. In short, power over the motor world. It's driven by literally thousands of large and small non-governmental organizations (NGOs) sanctioned by the United Nations, and implemented by a horde of bureaucrats, university academics and an ignorant but pliable news media.[2] The GW crowd has told us that manmade carbon dioxide is the reason for the supposed rise in global temperatures. However, Robert Essenhigh, professor of energy conservation at Ohio State University, gives the lie to their claim: The two principled thermal-absorbing and thermal-emitting compounds in the atmosphere are water and carbon dioxide. However–and this point is continually missed–the ratio of water to carbon dioxide is something like 30-to-1 as an average value. At the top it is something like 100-to-1. This means that the carbon dioxide is simply 'noise' in the water concentration, and anything carbon dioxide could do, water has already done. So, if the carbon dioxide is increasing, is it the carbon dioxide driving the temperature or is the rising temperature driving up the carbon dioxide? In other words, the carbon dioxide issue is irrelevant to the debate over global warming.[3] [emphasis mine] As I've pointed out, the reality is that the temperature of the earth goes up and down in cycles. And the cause of the up-cycle is the sun. Perhaps we need legislation to control our big solar neighbor in the sky? You might note, too, that--according to Access to Energy--Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto are also warming up. It's doubtful U. S. companies have caused that. Dr. Sallie Baliunas, an astrophysicist who serves as senior scientist at the George C. Marshall Institute in Washington D.C. and who chairs the Institute's Science Advisory Board, gave a lecture on February 12, 2008 at the University of Texas entitled, "Warming Up to the Truth: The Real Story About Climate Change." Dr. Baliunas says the warming and cooling of the earth is more related to solar variability than it is carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In other words, the increase and decrease in solar output has led to the cyclical warming and cooling of the earth.[4] So if you think the variation of temperature by a degree or two in one way or another is worthy of destroying America, free enterprise, and our national sovereignty, then hop on the band wagon. Otherwise, keep your cool, and don't buy the nonsense. <BR clear=all>[1] Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center wrote this in an article entitled Fanatics, heretics and the truth about Global Warming found at www.policycenter.org [2] Ibid;. 9. If you live according to how God wants you to live, you will be well thought of. We all have hang ups that get in the way of relationship. My insecurities keep me from opening up, my pride turns people off and both of these are due to being self centered in one way or another. Our flesh, sin nature and God effect the way we interact in this fallen world. The more I learn about God (and the devil) the easier it is for me to learn to love another person. I am starting to learn not to care about what people think or say about me (self centeredness). I personally know who I am in Christ and thats all that matters! God knows our hearts, All i can do in this life is try to treat people with kindness, respect and little compassion. Not everyone will be your friend just as not everyone liked Jesus (hang ups). One thing I do know is we'll all be friends in heaven. Praise God!
  10. Pretty neat! It's easier for me to watch than read. I thank you for all the work your are doing.
  11. All I can say is relax because God loves you. God is going to love you weather you work or not. What pleases God is your faith and your prayers. When your praying that means your attention is on God. Good deeds will come naturally to you as your relationship with God gets closer. You have a good idea on praying about it. The devil will try to get you to think that having a relationship with God is too hard. This is what happened to me throughout my first year in relationship with God. I'd get thoughts like: "your not a good Christian", "look at the thoughts you have", your not doing good deeds", "you missed church", you this you that...... It wasn't till I realized, thru God's word, God's love is unconditional that i was set free. Now, in my second year, when satan tries to put condemnation on me I'll say " I know I'm not "this and that" but Praise God, God still loves me". And condemnation doesn't come as often. Friends? Fez is right about church family and it is important to have Christian friends. The clown face thing, have you talked to your friend about it? There may be no offense meant by it. Sometimes our insecurities get in the way of our relationship at least with me anyways. There's a teaching by Andrew Wommack that has helped me with my relationship with my wife and friends. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1055 "God's kind of love through you" Be ready to look in the mirror if you listen to this. Pray Pray Pray God Bless you
  12. The Corinthians were abusing their spiritual gift and had strife amongst each other. Paul said using the gifts without love is like being a clanging cymbal. He then describes what love is. You should read the whole chapter and put it in context. Your a man preaching what you feel is a truth. The Jews have provided you the bible and some of them prophesied the truth. When were you given the authority to determine the truth? Many here and Mathew Henry doesn’t see it your way. Mathew Henry 13:8-13 Charity is much to be preferred to the gifts on which the Corinthians prided themselves. From its longer continuance. It is a grace, lasting as eternity. The present state is a state of childhood, the future that of manhood. Such is the difference between earth and heaven. What narrow views, what confused notions of things, have children when compared with grown men! Thus shall we think of our most valued gifts of this world, when we come to heaven. All things are dark and confused now, compared with what they will be hereafter. They can only be seen as by the reflection in a mirror, or in the description of a riddle; but hereafter our knowledge will be free from all obscurity and error. It is the light of heaven only, that will remove all clouds and darkness that hide the face of God from us. To sum up the excellences of charity, it is preferred not only to gifts, but to other graces, to faith and hope. Faith fixes on the Divine revelation, and assents thereto, relying on the Divine Redeemer. Hope fastens on future happiness, and waits for that; but in heaven, faith will be swallowed up in actual sight, and hope in enjoyment. There is no room to believe and hope, when we see and enjoy. But there, love will be made perfect. There we shall perfectly love God. And there we shall perfectly love one another. Blessed state! how much surpassing the best below! God is love, 1Jo 4:8,16. Where God is to be seen as he is, and face to face, there charity is in its greatest height; there only will it be perfected. Not true, you’re adding to verse 13; if that’s the verse you’re talking about? You should focus on the words “now” and” then”. V 11-13 “now” being present and “then” being future and “face to face” with who? Now we will keep on hoping for what? The hope of every Christian is for the Lord’s return and that’s when perfection will come! Not true, all saints have the opportunity with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the supplier of the power that works within us (Eph 3)! Are you Baptist? There is a Christian brother at work that believes similarly and he’s Baptist. I pray that you receive a sign from God that His power is still working through the saints today because God is the same yesterday, today and forever, in Jesus Name Amen! Peace be with you, out.
  13. I have been seeking God in this George: Ps 23 leads us into green pastures... why would Christ lead us into signs and wonders as evidences of Him ... when He warns us here of the days we are in- 2 Thess 2:9-12 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. NKJV I do not need miracle to know they are and He is able to do anything! I also know He warns of this reality- 1 Cor 1:22-25 2 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. NKJV Then seeking after Christ both wisdom and signs are possible but Christ to be sought not the sign nor the wisdom... Love Steven Steven, signs are not for believers, they are for non believers. Mark 16: 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” If what we see or the doctrine we believe in causes unbelief, how can we receive? If we don’t believe it’s God’s will which causes doubt, how can we receive? If we don’t see or hear it in God’s word will affect our faith. Jesus healed out of compassion and Peter acts 4:9 did it for a good deed. MATTHEW 21:22 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. MARK 9:23 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. MARK 11:23&shy;–24 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. James talks about wisdom but says the same thing as Jesus when it comes to doubt and believing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. The bible doesn't give too much information on the spiritual realm so it's not clear how satan interfere's with our prayers but there is a part we have to play.
  14. To know in part is having partial knowledge. You can see in scripture how the prophets and apostles all prophesied in part about Jesus and end times etc… What Paul is saying is that all (gifts) will pass away when we are in heaven but Love will abide forever. John Gills Exposition 1 Corinthians 13:9 For we know in part Not that the Scriptures, the rule and measure of knowledge, and from whence spiritual knowledge is derived, are imperfect; so that there is need of unwritten traditions, and of enthusiastic revelations and inspirations, to inform of things otherwise unknown; for though they were at sundry times, and in divers manners delivered, yet now they contain a complete system of divine truths, to which nothing is to be added, and from which nothing is to be taken away; or that only a part of the saints know the things of God; for though there is a difference between them, some have more knowledge than others, yet all have some, all are taught of God, and know him, and have that anointing which teacheth all things; wherefore the sense also is not, that only a part of truth, and not the whole, is known; for the Spirit of God leads into all truth; the whole counsel of God is made known in the Scriptures, and by the ministers of the word; though, to this sense the Arabic version inclines, rendering it, "some part of doctrine we know"; and so in ( 1 Corinthians 13:12 ) "some part of knowledge I know"; as also the Syriac version, which renders it (lylq ygo Nm) , "a little from much we know"; but the true meaning is, that though the rule of knowledge is perfect, and all the saints have knowledge, and every truth of the Gospel is known; yet by those that know most, it is known but imperfectly: the truth itself may be most clearly discerned, as it is revealed in the word; yet the manner of it, how it is, may not be known; and many difficulties may attend it, and objections be raised to it, which are not easily solved; as in the doctrines of the Trinity, predestination, the union of the two natures in Christ, the resurrection of the dead and we prophesy in part; the word of prophecy, as it sure, it is also perfect, to which we do well to take heed; and though all do not prophesy, yet all that do, and that prophesy aright, that is, explain the word of God aright, these preach the Gospel fully, declare the whole counsel of God, and keep back nothing profit able to the saints; yet still their prophesying or explaining the prophecies of the Old Testament, or the mysteries of the Gospel, is but imperfect at best in the present state of things. 1 Corinthians 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come When perfect knowledge of God, of Christ, and of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven shall take place; which will not in this life, but in that which is to come. So the Jews say F18 that at the resurrection, upon the reunion of the soul and body, ``the children of men shall attain to (hmylv hed) , "perfect knowledge";'' which is what the apostle refers to here: and then that which is in part, shall be done away: the imperfection of knowledge shall be removed; the imperfect manner of communicating knowledge, and of receiving and acquiring it, will cease: thus the apostle explains what he means by the cessation and failing of knowledge, and prophecy; not that knowledge itself will be no more, and a state of ignorance and darkness succeed; but imperfect knowledge will vanish away, or rather will be perfected, or be swallowed up in perfect knowledge; the imperfection of it will disappear; and it will be no more taught and received in part; the whole of truth will be clearly known. We will know all things just as I’m known when we are face to face with God! 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
  15. All are wonderful scriptures. Try meditating on these scriptures before your next reply.
  16. God performs miracles today and it is His will to heal our sickness. Religion (satan’s deception) and our natural minds keep us from believing in healings God has appropriated for us through His word. God’s name is Jehovah Rapha! Throughout the bible there are scriptures about how God healed and there’s power in the spoken word of GOD. The devil will fight your prayers just as he did Daniel in Daniel 10, the problem is when we say “it must not be God’s will” we doubt or give up on believing and the devil wins. Most of us give up on God because we use our timetable and not His. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh. God’s Word is His medicine. Psalm 107:20 – He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Proverbs 4:22 – For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Psalm 30:2 – O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. Mark 11:24 – Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. Psalm 103:2-3 – Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. Psalm 107:20 – He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Proverbs 4:20-22 – 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Isaiah 53:5 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Matthew 8:16-17 – When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. James 5:15-16 – And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I Peter 2:24 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. III John 2 – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Acts 3:16 – And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. There is power in the tongue that confesses God’s word because faith comes by hearing. Proverbs 12:18 – There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. (wisdom comes from God's word) Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. If all else fails try to confess God’s word on healing every day.
  17. First, let me answer by saying that a Christian will always die with His Spirit in them. They will never live forever within this body. A lot of what Andy writes is not in accordance to what scripture says. Look on the internet for "Andrew Wommack: 'The MOST DANGEROUS MAN On Christian Television' (prosperity/dominion) ". I would place the link here, but this site stand firmly against posting any link to you tube. I too get tired of the strife between Christians (something I 'm working on). It seems easier to argue over the inter net, there's less feelings when you can't hear tone or see body language. You can't change others the only one you have control over is you. I agree with Onelight about being Barean with what a teacher says and try to stay away from third party criticism. If the teacher is teaching Christ crucified (Gospel) and makes studying the bible primary, then you can't go wrong. Peace
  18. Psalm 90 10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Our days are shorter if we indulge our flesh (me, Diabetes through drinking). If only I knew God's commandments at an early age. Proverbs 3 1 My son, do not forget my law,But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
  19. link More news Sounds almost as if Obama has rejected Christianityand started his own church. A government propoganda church. It believe the churches are pawning responsibility to help the poor and needy onto the government and Obama is taking advantage of it for his welfare plan.

    Faith

I have faith and belief in God and will take it to the chopping block if that time comes (just like all of you). God saved my mother’s life, thru an audible voice; almost two years ago, and healed her, among other things. Does one needs to hear God’s voice about something already commanded or promised in the word of God? The withered fig tree, everyone believes God can do it but not everyone believes in themselves. We tend to ask God about the mountain instead of speaking to the mountain about what God said. Thus Jesus said: Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (24) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 16: 15-18??? Luke 10: 9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ Matthew 10: 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. The gift of Healing would be like a shadow healing someone or to touch someone’s garment; so the gift of Faith must be extraordinary. There’s power in Jesus Name! Mark 9: 38 Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me.
  21. I think we should be believing and hypnotizing ourselves in this: “ He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” “ He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” and by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed. by whose stripes you were healed.

    Omniscience

Isn't this self contradictory??? No, I do not think there are any contradiction. Would you care to elaborate further ? You said that God has never ceased to be God, and yet He has experienced what it is like to not be God. How? It can't be both. Yes OC, you are trying to defend a position that is internally inconsistent. God cannot experience what it is like to not be God without first ceasing to be God. He would have to experience having no Deity at all. You are trying to broaden the definition of the experience to include being rejected by man, but that does not really work. Omniscience does not require God to have had every possible experience in the universe. It does not require Him to experience personal sinfulness, or personal need. It does not require God to have any experience that would either contradict His Divine nature or compromise His holiness. What Kind Of Love But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 Is This? To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:19-21 and Romans 11:34 New King James Version (NKJV) 34 “ For who has known the mind of the LORD?
  23. You mean the word faith in a strange way. If it is something you've experienced then it's that/those experiences you are relying on, not faith. Faith and hope have about the same meaning. For example "I have faith my spouse won't cheat on me." "I hope my spouse won't cheat on me." I don't see a big difference there. However you seem to think faith has something hope does not. Faith, hope, trust can usually be used interchangeably. Anyway the point was that if you test something for yourself and find it works you are relying more on your own experiences and less on faith. This seems to be exactly what you are doing but say it makes your faith more solid whereas it should actually be making your knowledge more solid. I think a person who speaks from knowledge gained by their personal experience much more convincing then someone relying more on faith. Maybe not absolutely convincing but at least it carries more weight. Heb 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By faith you marry him or trust in him to be a good husband and hope he remains a good husband in the future (yet to be seen). Would you lay your hand on someone to heal them of a sickness? Probably not, why? Because you don't have faith in yourself because you don't believe you can. Rom 10:17 (NIV) Faith comes by hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Christians have faith because it's what we believe is to be true and come by hearing the word of God. The word of God has the things hoped for.
  24. Faith is necessitated by ignorance. Why would you want to solidify it? What are you being convinced by? By what you don't know? By what someone else tells you is true? In the Bible Jesus healed the sick, brought the dead back to life. If you could do that, hey that'd be very convincing in my book. If all one has is faith without personal knowledge and experience, that's a little hard to trust in don't you think? If the only thing you are relying on is faith you can't really tell anybody anything that you actual know of. You wouldn't even know if you are misleading them because you don't know. You only have faith that something is true. You'd be asking others to have faith in something that is a matter of your own ignorance. By faith I believed Jesus as my savior, It wasn't until after that God showed me things. God saved my mother's life and my brother in law's torn muscle in his shoulder was healed by laying of hands. You have to travel in the right circles to gain this experience and knowledge.
  25. Because I've prayed for things and had them happen right before my eyes....... I've done rituals and had demons manifest right before my eyes in the flesh and had Jesus through the Holy Spirit save me from them and myself..... i've seen X-rays of a little girl that had an extra kidney that was not hooked up to her bladder that disappeared when her church laid hands on her and pray for her...... My faith is solid as granet because I don't have to take anyone's word for who Jesus is..... He lives in my body through the Spirit and we converse daily. If you don't have that in your life and are just going on hope, we should talk, for there is much that the Holy Spirit needs to teach you. Remember that the question I was answering was how testing something helps your faith. When you see things like this happen, you can better trust and believe that Jesus will do the other things that he says will happen. Problem i've seen in this world is that most people I know are really afraid to step out in faith...... which is basically testing your faith Faith requires action. God's not going to make you do it.
