Muslims seeing Jesus in dreams - (Perry Stone)

What this should really show us is the wonderful sovereignty of God. And that He will call those to glorify His name where people dare not go. -
Muslims seeing Jesus in dreams - (Perry Stone)

I've heard this. I know people who have answered this and say this, "Apparently they forgot what Jesus said, 'Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." They say this is to mean that He won't show Himself again until the final judgment, through any means. Apparently they themselves forgot that Jesus won't break His word, rather cannot break it. And if He showed Himself to John, Peter, and Paul, not to mention the people who saw Him after He resurrected, then Christ has become a liar and our faith is void. The fact is I was saved through a vision when I was 14, I have a friend who was saved out of the Jehovah's Witnesses through a vision. I believe that this is more common than we anticipate. The elect, those who are to inherit eternal life, God will make sure come into His sacrifice. -
Gay Christians who choose celibacy.....
lance.dunlop replied to MorningGlory's topic in General Discussion
The born again (repentant) sinner is forgiven their sins, past, present, and future. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit demands they purify their desires. We are not talking about people who struggle with temptation and are combating it in the Spirit. Because if they are fighting in the Spirit, then they are saved. But if they are actively practicing their sin, meaning actively, willingly, with no sorrow seeking out sin, then show me proof of their salvation. There is none. Yes God is judge, but the fruit show the Christian's true nature, which we are called to look at. It's almost as if we are discounting God's power in changing us. He can change us from thieves and liars, drunkards and adulterers, but homosexuals...no then they must be celibate. -

I never said I was judging. You said I was judging. I'm just saying what the Bible says, what God commands, how we change when we have God in us. -

Gay Christians who choose celibacy.....

I'm not saying they can't or won't be saved. I'm saying there should be visible fruit of salvation as well. Because there are an untold number of people in the world who call themselves Christians who are not saved, and they say they are Christians, yet Christ does not know them and He will deny that He ever knew them. Part of eventual sanctification is fighting all the lusts of the flesh. And if they are mature enough to accept His calling them into a celibate life, then they should also be mature enough to combat homosexual thoughts. That's all I'm saying. There should be a righting of wrong as with us all. I stopped stealing when I came to Christ, but I still much fight to put to death the temptations when they arise, and fight to cut off that part of the flesh so I have complete victory. I struggle with lusts of the flesh, I cannot simply ignore them, though it does not take away my salvation, I MUST move forward in sanctification. -

I believe Shiloh is merely pointing out that if they are trying to be Christians and deserving their salvation, then they aren't actually Christians, being it is not a matter of works. Because no one deserves salvation. They deserve the wrath of God as much as the Apostle Paul. There is no trying. On my behalf for this post, I do not disagree that they can be saved and choose celibacy. However...THEY MUST be proceeding through sanctification and confronting their homosexual nature. Being celibate simply isn't enough. It is something that they have to confront just like everyone does with whatever sin is their greatest vice, whatever lust of the flesh that we once chose or are still choosing. It's not a choice. We must all walk through the valley and fight in the Spirit for our victory over our sinful flesh, celibate or not. But never deserving of salvation. -
Leonard, as painful as we deserve as well? I thank the Lord we do not get what we deserve It is much worse than a short physical struggle against the flesh in the state of death and decay.

Proverbs 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Muslims Siege Church in Search for Convert

Funny how you won't hear these on the American News stations. But again, if it was the Christians who did it, there would be an uplroar against us here. The agenda is hidden in plain sight. -
This makes me even more disgusted that there are "experts" who claim the Holocaust never happened.

There's so much to say, and I don't feel I have the attention span to do it right now. But easily my favorite verse is John 6:37 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will no wise cast out." This verse made the Gospel more real to me than ever before.

Joe gave a good one for that actually, didn't think of that one. However it is nonetheless unbiblical that any man could ever be infallible. Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all thing, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" The Pope's heart is deceitful "infallible" or not.
-
Can I back that up with Scripture? Nope lol The Bible clearly says that God is not a respector of persons, and that His Spirit does not depart. You can swing your theology in many ways but the truth of the matter is, the authorities in Scripture were held to a standard of accountability too. And if Peter was the first Pope, look how much he screwed up.
-
I'd say that's a very good question. I would presume that this has a lot to do with the idea that God's grace is upon the Pope more than a "mere human." The basic idea that God's Spirit resides in him, more fully than it apparently did before that. But in the long run it has a great deal to do with credibility. Le's say the Pope says something crazy, like saying gay marriage is okay, then theoretically speaking he would be "infallible" as he is the one who is charged by God to oversee the church. What he says must be of God. After the office is removed, God would no longer be speaking through him, therefore fallible.

Was Jesus God? No, because this can imply He stopped. Is Jesus God? Yes

I choked the word - am I doomed
lance.dunlop replied to Biscuit's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
I've been down that road before. It's the most terrifying experience you can have. I'd give you two things. Matthew 10:22 "But the one who endures to the end will be saved." and Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Persevere brother. Because perseverance is a sign of your being in the Word of God. Where you are, is the greatest place you can be, and no enemy can snatch you from His hands. -
1500 Ministers To Preach On Politics
lance.dunlop replied to LOVE SONGS's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
The fact is, soon if no one intervenes and takes a stance in the church on something, we will end up like in some places in Canada. Not able to preach about homosexuality behind the pulpit, removing certain parts of scripture, and arresting pastors. I'm happy that few are finally doing something. -
You can find the article here http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/10/child-pornography-legal-new-york-porn-possession-james-kent_n_1505916.html?utm_hp_ref=fb&src=sp&comm_ref=false "It is now not illegal to view child pornography on the internet in New York. The state's Court Of Appeals ruled Tuesday that simply looking at child pornography online does not constitute criminal possession or procurement of the images. "Rather, some affirmative act is required (printing, saving, downloading, etc.) to show that defendant in fact exercised dominion and control over the images that were on his screen," wrote Senior Judge Carmen Beauchamp Ciparick in a majority opinion of the six-judge ruling, according to MSNBC. "To hold otherwise, would extend the reach of (state law) to conduct — viewing — that our Legislature has not deemed criminal." Judge Victoria A. Graffeo simplified things, writing, "The purposeful viewing of child pornography on the internet is now legal in New York." [View the complete ruling here.] And how did this all come about? Meet 65-year-old James Kent, a former professor at Marist College whose computer was found to contain pornographic images in 2007. From The New York Daily News: [Kent] was convicted of two counts of procuring and 134 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child. He began his one- to three-year sentence in 2009. The Court of Appeals agreed that Kent was properly convicted because he had downloaded, saved and deleted 132 images. But the majority said some images in his computer cache, temporary files automatically stored from sites he viewed, cannot be held against him under state law. The ruling absolved the professor of two of the counts against him, Reuters reports. As for the rest of the counts, Kent is still guilty. According to emails documented in the ruling, Kent may have been collecting the images for a potential research project into child pornography regulation. Kent claimed, according to MSNBC, that he "abhorred" child pornography, and that someone else must have put the images on his computer. According to the ruling, one subfolder found on Kent's computer, "contained approximately 13,000 saved images of female children, whom Investigator Friedman estimated to be 8 or 9 years old, dressed in lingerie or bathing suits and many with their legs spread open." On Wednesday, Republican State Senator Martin Golden and Democrat Assemblyman Joseph Lentol said they will introduce legislation that will make illegal "knowingly accessing" child pornography."

Spoke in tongues, only once. It was during a time of immense spiritual warfare on the subject as well. I remember God gave me a dream and brought me to 1 Corinthians 13 and told me that love is more important. After that brought a peace, a few days later I spoke in tongues. Haven't since though. No one laying on hands, just waiting on God and that was it.
