Are you one of those people that believe because you id yourself as a Christian, it is your job to fix members of your family? Can you cause his change to happen? I'm assuming that you have spoken the word of God to him, now it is the Holy Spirit that will water the seed, cause it to grow and seek out light or to let it dry up and...we know not. The whole world seem to be turning more derogatory today, people across the nations are choosing to do some really weird stuff. In the end, it will be only you who has to answer before Almighty God for your actions or lack of actions. If your Uncle chooses not to follow, Christ you will not be answering for Him. My advice is to back off, let Him come to you, and with respect let him live his life the way he chooses, but, keep praying from him, until God tells you to stop. I know letting go of a family member hurts you deep inside, but, you really are not letting him go, you are turning his life over to God, your uncle just will not know it.

Yep. Hey, I am still breathing...... You and me both my friend....I am one of those people that have stood on the door step of this life and the next....some of the conversations I have seen on this site are silly....compared to what I have seen....I would like to see Victoria Falls before I go home to stay. God was kind to me and allowed me to see Angle Falls…. In some cases, death of the body is the healing that is needed for the spirit and soul of man....to be free of earthly concerns and pains. The difference that is in me that does not seem to be in a lot of my Christian brothers and sisters is that though we both understand that in the end he (Satan) will be defeated, i know from peraonal experience just how powerful he still is and the dangers of what he not only can but will do to anyone who does not respect his capabilities in this present age. i guess I just don't want people not to take him seriously because we've been told how it all ends. The sign of a good solider is: knowing what his enemy can do and respecting the idea that he will do anything he can in order to seek a victory. Satan can not see the end and he will keep fighting hard until the end. It would be very unwise for any Christian to even think that they could go toe to toe with Satan. Christians should be constantly alert because the enemy (antidikos, “adversary”), the devil / Satan (diabolos, “slanderer”), is always actively seeking an opportunity for a vicious attack. We need to always keep our eyes on Jesus and not allow Satan to draw our attention away from Jesus, for as soon as we do he is able to sneak in and start doing his thing. I had the same problem with a couple of men form the Watch Tower Group. I learned a number of things from their visit, I was really impressed that JW, really do not believe in Hell, and that it is not Hot. I shared with them what Jesus Christ did for me, I asked no questions, for I knew they had no truth in their response. They freely told me that they believe that Jesus was a god, but not the God. They said God created Jesus. They took offence to the statement, Jesus is my Savior, my Lord, and my God. Telling me Jesus was not God. They quoted scripture, form their bible/book. I'll be darn, they wrote their own Bible and changed a whole bunch of stuff. Reviewing it now. Unless your well versed in the Bible and can pick up the little changes, they made in their so called (bible), I would stay away from them. (Mormons and JW, SDA) The JW's story sound pretty good, however, Satan is pretty good at robbing people of their Salvation and this is what JW are facing. My heart was sadden, for they really believe what they were telling me. I think my final response was, telling them they were not following Jesus, but, a group of people at watch tower, blindly, putting their trust in man and not in the real God. Yea, the VA tried to hypnotize me for Pain, however, it did not work. I control most of my pain, by telling myself that it only means I'm still alive. I've also have had acupuncture, and I have a Two channel TENS unit, the Ultima5, that the VA has kindly supplied. They also supply lots of drugs, for pain, I tend not to take them, unless I have not been able to sleep for a couple of days. Does the TENS work for you? It reduces the level of pain to a point that I can better handle it, so yes it works for me. Besides taking drugs which knock me out, nothing really get rid of it all, besides the two times I've been standing on the doorstep of this life and the next. I sometimes wonder why He is keeping me around. Right now I'm doing GOOD!

I think that God gave the gift of healing to a number of people and we would be fools to allow fear to drive us away from seeking their help for the pain we have in life. If the screen name of OldShep does not give you a clue, I'm Old, I have many manmade cracks in my body and with the passage of time the pain grows. Hypnosis, will not make a person do something that he would not do in real life. The people that do this aren't really putting you under, you, yourself are allowing your own body to react to the claming words of the person around you. Jesus, healed hundreds of people and He gave that power to others, plus when you are healed give credit to God, for He is the one that is really doing the healing. The Doctors do a bunch of work but God brings you through. I know, I've stood on the doorstep of this life and the next twice. I had a massive, rupture of my Aorta, just so happens I was in Boston, I just about bleed out, I did flat line. They replace 17 1/2" of my Aorta, 3 years ago. Mat 4:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. Mat_9:12 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. Act 28:8 His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. I think, that allowing yourself to suffer with great amounts of pain because of "Fear" is not from the Lord. I believe that the Bible tells us to Fear not. Plus the Holy Spirit inside of you is not about to be controlled by an outside force. 1Co 12:8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 1Co 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 1Co 12:10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 1Co 12:11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. Wow, way above my head this time stuff and then stuffing God into it, to boot! I think, that is like trying to stuff God into a little box so we can look at Him through a little scope. What makes us think that we really understand what time is? We only assume that time today is the same as it was when the earth was made. We have people trying to find the beginning point of the earth, the great bang. In the past few years, we have had a bunch of people, that have told us the age of the universe, one age was 13 billon years old. Then they took another look and raised it up a couple of billion years. I think, that we will not find an end and that means we will not find a beginning, because {time}, like everything else was made by God. The Bible tells us in Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. When God created the heavens and the earth, He also created everything else. All the stars, all the galaxies, all the solar systems, all the angels in heaven, plus whatever else may be out there. Instead of the universe being made "in" time, time it self came into being with the universe, or maybe God created it (time) as the result of the fall, for Adam and Eve, were to have lived forever. Has anyone ever had a moment in time, in which everything around you and even time it's self, seem to have slowed down? I have, three times.
