  1. Recently a friend asked me what the differences are between the spiritual heart soul and mind. I wasn't sure how to answer (we were texting) and I said I would answer later. What are the differences? I need some help with what to answer.
  2. Jesus managed to be a light with a drink in his hand and ate with those who took the Lord's name in vain Matthew 9:10 King James Version (KJV) 10And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples. Luke 22:20 20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. There is a vast differece between having wine with a meal and going out drinking with some gentile buddies. Messiah nor the apostles were walking around with a wineskin full of wine while they declared the news of the coming kingdom. And yes certainly every single person on this earth will hear a cuss word or two as well as other things yet it does not mean we should be allowing those things from our mouths or into our lives. There are good people, good believers who can listen to cuss words, watch some questionable movies who are not in danger of falling prey to the entrapment behind it, there are also others who are in danger of being around all that and falling prey to it. The best course of action we can take is to avoid for ourselves the things we know are a danger, we also should avoid going out drinking and having a grand time with gentile people. By our actions we are judged by all those around us, you can say thats right or wrong but its the way God set it up, His chosen elect should portray all the godliness Yeshua did, and we know that Messiah never got drunk, with anyone, nor did He go around cussing and all that nonsense. By our actions, our deeds, our words, through our lives we are to be set apart for the world to see His glory and grace and by that others would want to have the shalom and blessing only He can give. And frankly one can not shine His light when they are stumbling around drunk with the unsaved or cussing like a sailor either. shalom, Mizz No one said anything about getting drunk or cussing. Just because you "go out drinking with some gentile buddies" doesn't mean you have to get drunk. Just because you watch a movie with cussing does not mean that you have to cuss Matthew 15:11 King James Version (KJV) 11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

  4. In God's eyes all sin is the same. So when sin passed down to you it was not a specifics sin(s),It was sin in general.
  5. I have no problem when kids dress up as movie characters and go get candy on halloween. It's when they wear zombie and vampire etc. costumes that I am against it.
  6. There is no sin in drinking as long as you don't get drunk. Jesus drank wine. You will most likely hear cuss words every day so I don't see a problem with watching movies with cussing.

  9. Thats just a little strange.... somebody has an obsession with Obama!
  10. What Bible do you guys use for study? Personally, I use the NIV and the KJV. Usually I read a passage in the NIV first to get the idea of it, and then read it in the NIV. What do you do?
  11. For Today is one of my favorite metal bands. This is my favorite song by them. They are a very Christ-devoted band and preach at all of their concerts Lyrics: Saul Of Tarsus May the world know that I am yours. I will never be silenced. I will resist my sin to the point of blood, and I will wear my scars like badges of honor. But let my hope cry out that my God is greater than the pain of persecution. My God is greater than this world. There will never be another chance to live today for God. There will never be another name that can save us from ourselves. And so, steadfast and undeterred, I will proclaim the name of Christ to a dead and dying world. I am not ashamed! We will resist our sin to the point of blood, and we will wear our scars like badges of honor. But let our hope cry out that our God is greater than the pain of persecution. Blinded, I saw that Christ is Lord. Now, may the world see you through open eyes. God, my Father, reign.
  12. Yes, I've read his posts. They beat around the bush, so to speak, and seems like he is attempting to find reasons to convince us that the RCC is right. He takes verses out of context alot too. Though it would be enjoyable to have a debate with him.
  13. No you don't. Faith does not include works. You show your faith through works. 14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Fait and works are separate but faith is made complete through works
