  1. Hi Another. As far as writing, I'm a moderator here and I post quite a bit here: edited by Mizzdy, promoting of other forums is discouraged upon in the open forums, you can link them up on your personal page if you wish In other words ... you're not alone. There are others who've walked your path. Hope to see you there!
  2. Any time not one, but two threads begin with the words, "the real truth", I know the whoever is doing them a), has pride issues, and b), is packing a personal agenda.
  3. Obama loves abortion from conception through birth, wealth distribution, championing perverted lifestyles, and Islam. The dude is no more a Christian than my pet schnauzer. And the fact Huffington, the left's main publication, is trumpeting him as such tells me all I need to know.
  4. Yep. You know, it's kind of morbidly fascinating to how fast our country has come loose from its moorings. I know these days have long been predicted, but it's a whole 'nother animal to be living in them. Thankfully our whole family is saved, but I think all real Christians in America are going to be in for a very rough time of it. Once Obama wins his second term (and absent real crisis between now and November, it'll happen), and once he knows he can do pretty much as he pleases--without having to think about getting elected again--the gloves will come off. And for the first time we'll really get to see the man behind the mask.
  5. Good point, Saved; pressure makes diamonds. Still, though, it's sad to see America slide into the same socialist mess most of Europe has. I'd thought my grandsons would have a little better time of it than I did.
  6. So this November the choice will be between a cultist and a socialist. Most of us Christians will either stay home or write in a candidate (which I plan to do), which means Obama will get four more years. America is doomed.
  7. I knew about some of them--Tom Selleck, Gary Sinese, Alice Cooper, and some others. But you're right, some on that list were surprising!
  8. Friend, no offense, but is English your first language? I have zero idea what you just said. Sorry.
  9. I think he's a one-hit wonder. Christian sites attract the strangest trolls ...
  10. Back on the old Crosswalk site I saw a very similar discussion to this run dozens and dozens and dozens of pages. When the site finally closed, it was still going strong, generating--as these things do--more heat than light. I only have have one question to the folks who say "it's the KJV or nothing": how do you reconcile that with the Wykcliffe folks, who translate the Word into various languages? I've seen copies of these, and there are simply some words, phrases, and thoughts which cannot be rendered in say, Maori, or Ukranian, or Inuit.
  11. To really throw some gasoline on the fire, some of you may have heard of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Singularity_Is_Near While granted it's a Wiki article (caveat emptor), it has a lot of links to sites that go into further detail. As a Christian, I don't believe this "singularity" will occur, but I'm a member of a secular writing site where some of the members fully embrace it. It's some wild stuff.
  12. For several years I was member of anothr Christian forum, and each year the "should Christians celebrate (fill in the blank) holiday" were some of the more popular ones. They drew from a wide spectrum, from the hyper legalists to sneering agnostics. As for me, somebody here said it first: since no one really knows when Jesus was born (I'm just glad He was!), December 25th is as good a day as any to celebrate His nativity!
