  1. Carlos, I've been following this thread, but i haven't posted any replies, as i'm not married i didn't feel i should, however i feel a lesson in romancing us ladies is coming............. 1. Consider buying her a lovely bunch of roses, or her favourite flowers. 2. Have you told her lately that you love her? 3. How about cooking her a lovely candelit dinner? 4. Go on, give her a hug and tell her that you love her. 5. Put on some music, YES NOW, get away from the computer, and swing her around that sitting room, make her laugh. 6. Oh, and tell her that you love her. 7. Got any old photos of when you first got together? Get them out and sit down with her and say "Do you remember when we first met?" Have you seen those weird hairstyles lately? 8. TELL HER THAT YOU LOVE HER! 9. Have a conversation with her, show her that you care. 10. Go on walk up to her now and whisper "I LOVE YOU." You know I heard a rumour once, someone told me that men knew how to be romantic "Bah Humbug." LOL, just joking with you brother Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  2. I'm in agreement with Faithie, Praying too Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  3. Shammah, Just a further note to the last couple of paragraphs you entered, were you aware that in 2002 when the masonic lodge held a meeting in the pyramid of Gizah, they attempted to place a capstone on the top? This attempt failed. I just thought it was interesting in connection with what you were saying about Jerusalem. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne PS. Mr and Mrs Mike Irish, no point shouting at me.
  4. Thanks Thomas Much appreciated. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  5. Thanks Suzanne, Avin Jade and Wayne I agree with your concerns, I was looking through the listings on online Bible Courses and to be honest was a bit concerned about some, not all, of what I found which is the very reason I was seeking advice from you guys. I do have the Strongs concordance, but use it rarely, usually in cases where i'm not entirely sure what the Bible verse is saying. Don't worry though, i'm not going to jump at the first course I find, I was just a bit concerned, because alot of the "Statements of Faith" were more about what the course could do for you, I just want to know more about the Word of God and what I can do for Him. I just became a little overwhelmed by all the denominational views, but your right Suzanne getting closer to God is a progressive thing, a sort of teacher to the student! Thanks for the advice guys, it is much appreciated. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  6. Since I got saved a few weeks ago, I have found using the Word of God to overcome things in my life..........well, the only way to overcome them. (does that make sense?) For instance, my study of James is helping me to put behind me things that I had never considered offensive before, and it's teaching me a lot about my character traits and how to overcome them. Also, the biggest thing for a few days was, "How do I know i'm saved?" God was pretty quick in answering "In my Fathers house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." Everyday I need these verses to get me through, so at night, as am reading through the Bible I also write verses down on memory sheets, so if I find myself in a situation that day, doubting, etc I think on those verses. And, wow, you would not believe I am the same person I was a month ago. Your Sister in christ Jesus Anne
  7. I have been thinking of this too and was interested in finding out more, as many of you know i am a new Christian too, so again i know little of the matter. What I was wondering was, what is the purpose or reason behind fasting? Can someone lead me to Scriptural references please? Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  8. Very interesting reading Sammah, of course not many people realise that the masonic lodge are behind many world events which are taking place today, nor would they believe you if you were to provide them with the proof. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  9. Can anyone recommend a good online Bible study course, that has it's foundations firmly in the Gospel. I just want to learn more about the Bible. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  10. My apologies Brother Budman, i did not mean to detract from what I feel was a very well written article. Yes Cats, i'll join you in prayer for "Loop" Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  11. Loop, Yes I really am Washed in the Blood of the Lamb! How about you? Now, as you wander through these forums attempting to create havoc and confusion, and you continue to make a mockery of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blood he shed at Calvary for us, remember you will be called to account for your comments. What will you say? "Well, I was just having a bit of fun God." Why is it you get such delight from this? As I pointed out to you before, if you want to know why we believe, stick around, but please do not make a mockery of our Heavenly Father, for your sake, not mine. Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Anne
  12. Brother Thomas, I'm in agreement, I prayed for Loop last night and this morning. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  13. Loop, You have very little idea what it is you're saying, don't toy with things you are not prepared for. Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Anne
  14. Loop, I hope you haven't just come here to insult people, I pray you've come to learn about our Lord Jesus Christ. washed in the Blood of the Lamb Anne
  15. I like that "a natural reaction to an unspeakable gift," yeah, that's a pretty awesome way to put it. Heavenly Father thank you so much for the lessons i've learnt during the study of this chapter, I pray Lord Jesus that you will continue to teach me, and build me up in your Holy Word, this I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
  16. Super Jew With regards to your previous post, ((((((((((big hug just for you)))))))), our conclusions are not disimilar, we just say it different. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  17. You asked Christ Jesus into your heart, right? Then you are saved, don't let the devil creep in with nagging doubts, chase him away with this:- John Chapter 14 v 2 "In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." This is God's promise to you, he never breaks his promises. As for finding more in common with Spaceman3 (i'm an oldie, no idea who/what they are!) However, the problem of putting something/anything before the word of God, will create problems. The fact that you asked "Is this wrong," suggests to me you already know the answer to that, go on, pick up your Bible right now, say a prayer telling God your thoughts, problems and ask him to speak to you, to make it clear. He is convicting you for a reason little brother, all you have to do is listen. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  18. Thanks Ted and Suzanne, However still blushing I love to read the Bible. All those other books I used to read, put all my energy into and research into, when I threw them away and picked up the Bible, it was like a whole new world. You know Suzanne, I never really did thank you properly, you see the questions that were in my head that day when i wandered into worthy boards were answered in that study you posted. It was no coincidence! I have always side stepped God, because I thought I'll never make it, I'm not strong enough, I'll only let him down. When I read your post on endurance, it smacked me right in the face. I believe God was saying to me, "you may not be strong enough, but I am, now walk with me and I will help you endure to the end." Since then his told me how, judgemental, argumentative, full of pride, etc, well you get the idea, and i don't think he's finished yet, i've got a feeling he's going to be pointing a few more things out that i'm lacking, lol......... but I love him. He wouldn't tell me these things unless I needed to know them, he's building me up and turning me around to a new direction, but I've got alot more to learn. As for the Studies posted, I really cannot take the credit for them, as i've said before, I didn't write the bible for one so the credit really belongs to God. Secondly i've got an excellent study guide written by Matthew Henry and Thomas Scott, I just add a few of my thoughts to it, as i feel led. I have lived around the Bible all my life, read it, but it was just a book then. I understand it now, since getting saved, it's comforting words, it's chastising words, it's words of advice. This is all because a lady posted a message on endurance, hoping but not thinking it would attract much attention, how wrong she was. God got my attention that day because one of his faithful servants listened to his voice. God Bless You Suzanne Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  19. Come on guys, Calm down, there can be no good come from arguing and name calling, on any side. This is a good subject to discuss, we should be learning from each other, not trying to beat each other up. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  20. Anne

    Scary Stats

If there are people out there who haven't even heard the name of Jesus Christ and his message of Salvation, that's where we should be. Suzanne, what countries is Doug speaking of? I'm in shock. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
  21. The first thing I wondered after reading this, was, are you saved? Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Anne
  22. Super Jew, I will answer your posting later today, however I want to post my final study on this first. A Study of the Epistle of James Rahab and her show of faith [B]Verse 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? Verse 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. This is the second example of faith justifying with and by works, Rahab. The former, was Abraham, who was renowned for his faith all his life long. In this study we will see how faith will save the worst, and that it is evidence by proper works. Rahab believed the report she had heard of God
  23. Dear Brethern I seem to have confused some, not my intention, but I noticed SuperJew had written something interesting, (yes Super i read all of your post, before you ask). I'll try to put this across right,..........from my interpretation of what i've read in James thus far, you cannot separate true faith (love) in Christ Jesus from works, they come in the same package, so to speak. When a sinner receives Salvation, it is the love, trust and faith that a Christian has for Christ Jesus that ignites a passion in their heart to do his will, this is their obedience to him, this is their works. The following quotes are what Super Jew thought I was saying:- Super Jew said "I thought you were saying that works produced faith." Well, I can see why you might view what I said that way. But i think your viewing it the wrong way, there is no dividing wall between faith and works. First true faith then the desire to do God's Will. Super Jew said " Or that in order to have faith you must have works." No amount of working for Christ Jesus will save a sinner, repentance comes first. Super Jew said "if you are advocating that works is separate from faith." I am not, no, works is part of faith, works is the fruit of faith. Super Jew said "are an overflow of faith." I'm assuming that he meant works are an overflow of faith. That's it, that is exactly it, works are an overflow of faith! Gee, I should have just said that. Do you see what I mean SuperJew? Someone who loves Christ Jesus, who has received the gift he gave all nations at Calvary, there is some form of works which follows, maybe it is not always a conscious action, and it may not always been something huge in a human perspective, but nonetheless the action is carried out because of the christians faith and love for Christ Jesus. To me you cannot separate the two, Works is an overflow of faith, works is the fruit of faith, they are inseperable. And as to whether I believe James was speaking to the converted, unconverted or possibly a mixture, well, that's a whole new topic. And I ain't going there........yet! Put your faith in Christ Jesus and do his bidding. Your Sister in Christ Jesus Anne
