I have heard of this gentleman before, I have some videos regarding his history. Honestly speaking, I believe that the entire prophecies that could ever have been foretold are written in the Bible. I guess you could say i'm a skeptic of modern day prophets, however, I have been known to be wrong.

Who said the law was just for the Jews? At the time of Christ the Jews were not even there. They were abroad. (see James 1:1) I think you are confused. I live in Texas that makes me a Texan. Because I live in Texas does not make me a Jew. To be a Jew you have to be a descendant of one of the twelve tribes. The Jews during the time of Christ were not descendants of the twelve tribes but they were Jews. They were Jews because they lived in Judah. I hope you understand. Christ was from Nazareth and was called a Nazarene (see Mat 2:23.) he was never called a Jew. People today try to claim he was a Jew but the bible states otherwise. This may be to much for you to digest right now. So I will stop here. I don't often interrupt like this, however Kidtek, I think you could have worded this better, the OP was asking an honest question and it is your duty to answer it honestly, sincerely and with humility. Give me a second here, just want to look something up, but if memory serves me correctly, I think it is more correct to say that it was the land that was cursed, ie "the burnt ground" but I could be wrong............be back in a tick.

Well, I've only ever read the book of Enoch, as part of my research into Genesis, and speaking in all honestly my gut feeling is that it is not inspired by God Almighty, there's a very different tone (voice) to the book of Enoch, than that of the Holy Scriptures.

I've been threatening to do that to this computer for years!

Okay, The Bible clearly states that we are to have nothing to do with, divination, occlumency (i don't think i spelt that right ), sorcery, and all things of such nature, and yes I clearly understand that harry potter is a fictional story. Now J K Rowling may very well have intended it to be nothing more than harmless fun, however, where does one draw the line? Do we say to others, "It's okay to read about it, just as long as you don't practice it!" Things like the harry potter series tends to have a detrimental knock on effect, one thing usually leads to another, especially in young minds. I think it best to stop it before it starts. Whilst todays children may only be reading books such as harry potter, it's anyones guess what tomorrows children will be doing.

And we wonder why no one takes us seriously.

For the OP, I'm currently studying Genesis and have been for two years now, to give you the answers would just be too easy. There are two sites which deal indepth on this issue, one of them provides scientific proof to back up their results. Can't remember the sites but just google the following and you should get there alright: (1) Answers in Genesis (AIG) (2) Dr Dino There are loads of seminars split into smaller sections which makes it easier to follow, of course have your Bible to hand and make sure to compare what you hear with the scriptures. This may be a tiny bit difficult to understand, let me clarify from the start that I am not asking concerning the difference between light and darkness, I am at a current stage in my studies where I am trying to understand what is the nature of the separation between the light and the darkness. What is the physical cause of the separation between light and darkness. I know that some are gonna go sheesh, and leave, however I'd sincerely appreciate your thoughts on this.

What does it mean to give your all in following Jesus? To pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus? To deny oneself? The Word of God teaches me that I must love Him more than Mother, Father, brother and Sister, but if it came to the crunch, could I really walk away from my family and follow Jesus denying all else, if that's what was asked of me could I really do it? Could any of you, has anyone? I have had a thought, i'm afraid that I am not giving my all, and that if I do my family perhaps would think me a fool. I'd appreciate any scriptural advice.

I don't mind saying, I nearly jumped out of my seat when that happened, excellent post.
