    Why Did God Do That?

Ecc 9 2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath. 3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. 11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.Isa 45: 7 I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things. Isa 45: 7 I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.
  3. I did not write this article but I believe it is dead on target. I hope this will help you decide what ou would like to do. What is the relationship of Gentile Christians to the laws of the Torah? Messiah’s Holy Community of Jews and Gentiles (the Church), while having much in common with Israel, is not identical to Israel. The New Covenant is not the same as the Old Covenant. Jews who enter the New Covenant remain Jews, and Gentiles who enter the New Covenant remain Gentiles. Gentile Believers are not the same as the Gentile foreigners who lived in the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant. Gentile Christians have an elevated status compared to the aliens who lived in the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant. They are fully co-heirs of the Kingdom with the Jewish saints. Being grafted into Israel doesn't mean that Gentile Believers become Israel or are required to live the same way as the Jewish people. Jews and Gentiles are one because of our one God and Father of all: “one Lord, one faith and one Baptism.” We share equally in the Spirit of God, who lives in all of us, and have the same hope of living forever in the New Jerusalem. Being one doesn’t negate the differences in roles and calling and lifestyle between Jews and Gentiles. link to source
  4. You might check and see what your county ordinances say about chickens. Many areas have restrictions that limit the number of chickens one can have, location of coop and whether or not they must stay penned up. Doesn’t matter if the area is livestock zoned or not. Certain restrictions still apply. Instead of throwing rocks, I would be catching them and having animal control impound them. Which is probably in your case easier said than done. This can be done by herding them into netting or using a large fishing net that has a fairly long handle. It will be harder now since the chasing and rock throwing has made them flighty. I could catch them with my crossbow it not as loud as cherry bombs
  5. sometime talking does not matter. i have a neighbor that has some chickens around 10 and they come accross the road into two yards we both have gardens. when approached to cage the chickens he says to just run them off our property. he has no intentions of doing anything about his chickens in our gardens. i should not be required to stand watch for his chickens that want to wander into my garden two or three times a day. Now I use rocks to run them off but as soon as the 4th comes around i will be getting something loud to run them off
  6. one could buy cherry bombs and throw them in the direction of the dog. that way no harm to dog but it will shut him up
  7. check this out A Bible believer knows that Jesus was not crucified on Friday because Matthew 12:40 says he was in the heart of the earth 3 days and 3 nights. We know he arose Saturday night because the women found the tomb empty Sunday morning. (Mat 28:1, Mk 16:1-2, Lk 24:1-2, Jn 20:1) You can't get 3 days and 3 nights between Friday and Sunday morning! I know that people try to say that Jesus is talking about partial days in Matthew 12:40 but Jesus himself corrected that heresy in John 11:9! (if you are a bible believer) Since the world teaches the wrong day concerning Jesus crucifixion, It may be that they also teach the wrong day concerning his "triumphal entry into Jerusalem! Check out the following scriptures and see what you think: 1. John 12:1 gives us a starting time frame of 6 days before the passover. We know that Jesus was crucified on the same day as the passover feast which was instituted in Exodus 12:5-6 (the 14th day of the Jewish first month) We also know from Mat 12:40 that he was crucified on Wednesday. The time frame given in John 12:1 puts us 6 days back before the passover. The passover was obviously Wednesday so 6 days before Wednesday would be on Thursday. 2. Now watch the sequence of events in John chapter 12, John 12:12-15 says that he entered Jerusalem on the next day! It looks to me like it may have been a "palm Friday" instead of a "palm Sunday"! 3. We have some more information that we can look at to back this up! The book of Mark is going to list the days between Jesus entry into Jerusalem and the crucifixion day: a) He rides into Jerusalem in Mark 11:1-10 (Friday according to John 12:1) b) The next day occurs in Mark 11:12 where Jesus curses the fig tree (this would be Saturday) Saturday evening is in Mark 11:19. c) The next day occurs in Mark 11:20 where Jesus sees the fig tree dried up. (this would be Sunday) d) The next two days are accounted for in Mark 14:1 where a statement is made accounting for two more days. (this would account for Monday and Tuesday "After these two days it would be Wednesday and that is the day that Jesus was crucified.
  8. No - they didn't bury people in cemeteries in the early centuries. Gen 15:15 is the first person buried and there are 90 other accounts in the old testament of people being buried Ok i see the key word is cemeteries. People were buried but not in cemeteries.
  9. very good info, i might question Jericho. jericho oldest inhabited town; were all those who died in Jericho buried at Jerusalem Mount of olives.????
  10. Matt 6 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. When I got saved and learned this prayer by heart I thought I was thanking God for my physical daily food. Since then I have come to realize that this verse is two fold. 1. our daily food. 2. our chance and obligation to partake of reading the Bible daily, praying daily, giving thanks daily. John 6: 33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world. ( Jesus Christ ) 48 I am the bread of life. 50 This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. we must eat this Bread DAILY. ( READ AND PRAY GIVE THANKS DAILY )
  11. Q 1 I believe Jesus did reveal this to JohnRev 1:12-13 Q2 I believe God, Jesus, and Holy spirit are one spirit. Not sure who the other six are. I also think Angels will blow the trumps carry out judgements not the other six spirits, ps these other six spirits mus be above angels.
  12. did not quote any verses, so I am not trying to turn this into anything.
  13. Welcome. I agree the system is crumbling and hard times are ahead.I think some of the stuff you speak of is tribulational, we are not there as yet. and I believe in the rapture so I wont be around when its time to take the mark you speak of.
  14. The church will be raptured before all those thing take place. Only people rev affects are the ones who do not accept Jesus Christ as the only path.
  15. Prov 31: 6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts. 11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. It is hard for us to understand many things on this earth, But as the verses above show God is being fair to all. We all get joy and pain on this earth. It may be the end of life pain is our last trial to stay faithful or turn away from God. But by being fair to all God has made it so no one can stand before him and say he was unfair to them in their life here on earth. [ quote ] i'm a wuss. i hope when i die it's quick and painless. and if it can't be quick and painless, then i sure hope laws have been passed by that time to allow me to die with dignity at a time of my choosing. don't think i wouldn't consult God about it, i most certainly would. but frankly, i can't imagine my loving heavenly Father telling me "tough beans, you have to suffer a few more years
  16. So do you think it is right for him to go TV ( maybe international ) and say there are many ways to heaven when Jesus said I am the only way?
  17. I watched him in an interview and he said he believes there is more than one way to heaven. In my opinon he is wrong Jesus Christ is the only way, period.
  18. No, we don't shoot horses. I'm aware that is a movie title. Actually, Obama wants us to eat them...I'll pass You think there is compassion for animals? I guess you have not seen the millions of photos of dogs and other animals deliberately starved, tortured, and neglected. If you wish to make a case for 'the low ground' as you put it, perhaps you should not use animals as an example. Most animals that are put down would rather live. There are too many dogs and cats because people are irresponsible and do not neuter their pets. Animlas that are slaughtered for consumption are often suffering greatly and in terrible fear before the 'merciful' release of death Of course you are free to decide your own demise but that is not God's desire for people. I dont believe animals have reasoning which they would need in order to look at a situation and be afraid of what they think is going to happen.
  19. And I say so are the prescription drugs. Natural is my first choice.
  20. I once was a Christian, more or less. I "believed", but there were no emotions attached to this belief, and thus it was by no means strong. I simply accepted the notion, having not known any other alternative at the time. Are you implying that God is incapable of hearing or answering prayers unless the prayee believes in him? Wouldn't God be more inclined to answer the prayers of those who have some doubt in order to strengthen their faith? For the most part, I prayed for my father to stop being an abusive tyrant and either be kind to us or leave us alone. Or for my mother to "get wise" and leave him. Or that I could live somewhere else. Or that he'd die. They became increasingly more hostile as time progressed. When I "sold my soul" ... I suppose it was the same as praying, only to Satan and with the realization that I was losing something supposedly valuable ... I made a somewhat vague request that my father must either completely redeem himself by being unconditionally kind to us without fail, or I would be free of his abuse and he would live in misery, consumed by hatred at my success. I am almost certain (and I only say "almost" because one can never be completely certain about anything) that my father sending me away a few months later was a happy coincidence. But it was certainly odd... As for my relationship with this character, I don't believe there is a devil. So my feelings toward him would be akin to my feelings toward my schizophrenic friend's hallucinations. Assuming he does exist and this incident was his handiwork... I appreciate his help. You're having a hard time in trying to decide what you believe. You weren't a Christian or you would still be one. Maybe you went to church, but that doesn't make you a Christian. That would be like standing in a garage and saying that you're a car. Becoming a Christian is a once in a lifetime event, and it's for Eternity. You stated that you made bargains with the devil, and now you say that you don't believe there is a devil. There is no almost Christian - you either are or you're not. Obviously, God isn't going to answer prayers you made to the devil. Bluntly, it sounds like your life is a mess and you really need Jesus Christ in your life. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. I suggest that you go back to church. In the meantime, I think it would be great for you to read the beautiful book of John in the Holy Bible. Great book to start with nChrist. A lot of people say read the gospels but John is a better start.
  21. Yes I keep the Sabbath, my husband and I fellowship with others on the Sabbath, we also keep the Feasts of God, we also tithe. Funny thing is that it seems you think we do thing like that to 'get' something from God? Well I will tell you this each Sabbath is a new and wonderfully spiritually driven time, and yes it has added new depths in my relationship with Yeshua and Yahweh. Through keeping His days I come to understand His plans for me, for this world a bit better. As for tithing, gain? what in the world would I gain except to know that whatever we are able to give goes to helping someone, I tend to just God decide where He wants our tithes to go. Matt. 4:4 But he answered, "The Tanakh says, `Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of ADONAI'" Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. John 14: 23-24 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. It is His words written to us that the Spirit leads us in, His truths, His ways. Where are His words if not in the bible? shalom, Mizz John 14... 'he will keep my word' surely means 'the words I have spoken and am speaking while I am here with you (the disciples), which are words direct from the Father me'. He is not talking about the OT laws. Whenever he refered to them he named them as such in one way or another. If it is just about what He said while He was walking around alive then? Is that what you are saying is that we are to only take the words He spoke while in the physical? Yeshua wrote those laws everyone seems to hate so much, why would He give His called out ones instructions to live by, then after His death they are done away with yet when He returns and reigns in Jerusalem brings them back? shalom, Mizz The old covenant is not done away with. it is for those who still do not understand or accept Jesus as the savior. the new covenant (church) will not go through the wrath of God ( tribulation ) only the people stuck in the old covnant will go through the tribulation. Just like the church can not pick and choose what rules and guidelines to go by they go by mainly what paul teaches the people stuck in the old covenant customs are required to keep all the old laws no just 3 or 4 of them.
  22. here is a verse that helps me out 1 Peter 3: 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. I said a prayer for you too.
  23. Isa 8 9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: I do no think we are under any law of old testament, but I thnk we should definitely gleen from the old testament and pay close attention to Romans thru Phileman
  24. Hey BB! You did not answer your own question above. Where did his wife come from? If Adam and Eve were the first parents on earth then there could not have been people living in Nod unless one of two things happened. 1) some of Adams and Eves other kids all ready went there before Cain attacked Abel. and abel went to Nod and married one of his sisters after he got there. 2) God created people other than adam and Eve in a place called Nod at he same time not kin to Adam and Eve. A third option is no one lived in Nod and cain married one of his sisters and she became pregnant after she and cain had reached Nod. Well here is what Scripture tells us: Adam was 120 years old when he fathered Seth, Abel's 'replacement' so to speak. We're also told Adam had 'other sons and daughters'. We don't know exactly when Adam fathered Cain and Abel, though we DO know Cain came first. The words "in the course of time" indicates that time had passed, and the rest of the Cain/Abel context indicates that they were grown men with households of their own. There were 120 years before Seth, but after the birth of Cain and Abel, in which Adam fathered other sons and daughters. Now, figuring that those other sons and daughters grew up and had children, and their children had children, and those children had children (with generations of about 40 years), not knowing how many female children each of these other sons fathered, Cain may have had a number of nieces or cousins to marry. Scripture never indicates that there were other First Parents than Adam and Eve. In fact, the very name Havvah (Eve) means 'mother of all living', which tells me (and hopefully you) that she was the First Mother. It seems you agree with me and I with you. Cains wife was either a sister or neice or cousin not a strange woman in Nod.
