  1. I didnt think animals went to heaven... but i looked in the word... and they do... YAY!!!! one reason i was told animals cant go to heaven is because they dont have Spirits... well in ecc 3:21 it tells us they do have spirits. YAY! "Who knows the spirit of the sons of men which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth?" then in Ecc 12:7, it says.. "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." YAY! Animals DO go to heaven!
  2. haha how cute! We call that a "sports carnival" except we dont have cheerleaders. We have sucky dance teams at some schools. Always wanted to try cheerleading... i dont know why Australian schools havent caught onto it... hmmm.
  3. We all go through seasons. But no, God has most certainly not left you or forsaken you. He never will. When we feel like that, we find its us who is being distant, for whatever reason, and when we realise, God is right there waiting, so so so glad and happy that your back. Get right into the bible and back to your first love. Jesus. Get deeper into the word and pray even when you dont feel like it. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. says so in the word.
  4. Fiosh is right. Listen to what she says. Look her in the eyes if you can. Dont daydream. And be yourself! Most of the time its easy to see if someone isnt being themselves. Just ask the Lord what to say. Help him to put words in your mouth, let the conversation lead to God, and if shes a believer...YAY!!! if not, stay friends and pray her into the kingdom! Your special project hehe.
  5. Do you have a class together? If yes your work will be a bit easier because you can get to know her a little slower at bell time each day. If you don't share a class, then you are going to have to be creative and try to talk to her at the locker or at lunch, or a pep rally. What on earth is a "pep rally"???? Im from Australia, and whatever that is, its not here heh.
  6. Hey and if you dont know what to say in english, speak in tongues. i noticed that you said youve never spoken in tongues. The thing with tongues is, you can ask for it all you like, over and over and pray for it daily, thats what i did and God finally said to me "JUST DO IT, SPEAK." i was asking and hoping it would just gush out one day, but i had to make the effort, step out in faith and start speaking believing it was going to be a tongue.... and i havent shut up since... hahaha. so if you havent done that, do it. apply faith to your hope and want.
  7. I certainly would not have "liked him to" suffer more than he did...!!! Not even at all if it were possible! im sure u didnt mean it that way but i just had to add that. As far as i see it, it doesnt matter what we think He did or didnt go through, it was bad enough and Jesus didnt HAVE to do it, He chose to, for us. For me. For you. He didnt ask for sympathy or a medal. He asked that we live a perfect eternal life in heaven by believing and knowing Him...What a wonderful God! The sacrafice was huge, and it was all for us. I think thats wonderful! Yea, that wasn't really how I meant to put it, I was kind of referring to the 1st post of this topic when I said that. I agree with you and how you said it. I'm not really gifted with putting my thoughts out there in just a few words and getting out all of what I want to say to. But what you said is pretty much what I meant. He gave his life for us because He wanted us to be able to be in Heaven with Him forever, and for that I praise Him every chance I get. its all good dear Jesus is the best!!
  8. Praise the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! What a wonderful thing it is to have you now as a brother in Christ, how the Angels rejoice! How i rejoice!! How worthyboards rejoice!!! You just GO GO GO!!! Get into that word, worship, pray, daily! Take that "new believers passion" and absolutely run science dude!!! Oh this is so exiting if i was standing up, i would have to sit down...haha. Im thrilled, absolutely thrilled and am looking forward very much to your testimony... Welcome! God bless you! Isn't Jesus so lovely? ..... Holy laughter hehe ps... names....umm... ScientificSaint SavedScientist i think i like ScientificBeliever.... Lost&found hahahaha TheScientistWhoSawTheLight ScientificJesusFreak is funny too hahaha who knows... yay for Jesus! Yay for salvation! YAY!!

  10. How do i know Jesus is exists? The healings, the blessings, the prosperity, the Joy, the love, the kindness, the transformations for the better, the prophecy, the tongues, the difference in life, everything that has happened since i chose life. Since i chose faith. I know he is real because the bible says so, i know hes real because of my faith, i know hes real because of his miracles. But most of all i know he's real because i know him. How can you not believe in someone you speak with? The Holy Spirit is so wonderful isn't he?
  11. Thats really sad. and when i say sad, im not being smart, i mean it. Not drinking is the best thing ever! I go out occasionally with my friends and they all get smashed and im the only sober one there and heres how it goes with people who think drinking is the only way to have fun, this is there "fun" night out: person #1: Drinks and drinks and sits there all quiet and timid because they drink to come out of themself and then yay finally there drunk enough to party. Hooks in with someone, dissappears from there group of friends for either a few hours or the whole night. meanwhile, person #2 is still sober and really angry about person #1 running off like that, so then we have gossip and sooking in our midst as she drinks on with person #3, #4 and #5. They all eventually get drunk, have a right old good time gossiping and laughing themselves red in the face and causing a comotion, person #2 is feeling feisty from all the gossip they started so either goes and picks a fight with someone or goes home. Person #3 is a "stupid drunk" and either goes around making a fool of themselves or embarrasses there friends by spilling secrets. Person #4 and #5 might get into an arguement, or they might be perfectly fine with no trouble or embarrassing moments at all, there just worried and highly concerned and emotional about everyone else which will either lead to one of them getting all emotional about something that has nothing to do with what happened that night, or there silent resentment towards there "Cadbury friends (a glass and a half and ur drunk) who cant handle there alcohol. Finally, the least drunk person (always still over the limit or drunk also) rounds up the friends they can find and takes the "responsible" roll of driving them home. Wether they get home saftely and without a fine or not depends on the night i guess. The next day: Someone is upset at someone else for doing something that night. Usually more than one person is affected. A few people have pretty bad hangovers and are throwing up, taking days of work or heaven forbid, Church! There sleeping all day and grumbling and complaining about there own self inflicted pain. One is embarrassed about the sob story they told to the person holding there hair out of the toilet bowl the night before, or the guy who passed out in the bushes gets heaps of teasing by his mates for at least a week after. Someone is jealous because there friend hooked in with the person theyve had there own sights on foer months and there friends excuse is they were so drunk it didnt matter or they didnt realise what they were doing. The highlights everone talks about this fun night is what? Embarrassing moments, people going off and sleeping together "the dissappearing act" the funny spill someone had and there bruises to prove it, oh, and the band was okay too. What fun, drunkeness, sickness, infedelity, sexual sin that leaves the person either feeling abused or empty later on, foolishness, anger, fighting, gossip..... meanwhile sober bob sits there in amazement at satans blinding, seductive chaos. Thankful, that there not in the same place and that they have Christ to guide and protect them. Sighing as they slowly try to pick up the pieces of there friends hearts. NO THANKYOU!!! A Christian's life is not boring. Is not restricted. Its protected and exiting. I have so much fun, all the time. Im always happy and i dont need a drink to have a good laugh or be daring enough to do something (responsibly) funny for a good laugh. I am outgoing and joyful. Im high on Life. High on Jesus Christ, all ill ever need ever. He is my source and my peace and my everything. I enjoy life without all that nonsense, how awesome! How do i have fun? Not the same way as a drunk does. Its way way way better. Been there, done that. does nothing but leave you empty and open to satans plan for your life. Id much prefer to be walking in the Light of the Lord. Healing, singing to him, praising him, loving people, doing things for people, having a prosperous life with blessing and love and joy. Not just temporary happiness, continual JOY! I pray that those who think you have to drink to have fun, and that there is only restriction in Christianity, see the truth in the Gospel (good news) of Jesus and know that they are loved dearly. And that an unsaved life is a blindfold of false freedom and happiness that will never truly satisfy. A life with the Lord is whole, Joyful and loaded with the promises of God.
  12. Heres the thing. Love is a selfless act. The kind of love God wants us to have for our partners is the same kind of love Jesus has for his people. UNCONDITIONAL love. Agape. As hard as it may seem it is not impossible. I am working so very hard to learn real "Jesus love". I thought love was a feeling. What nonsense. A feeling is involved in it but its not the basis of it. The Lord has really challenged me to die to self. I was all "oh Lord i want to marry my boyfriend please show me and help me to be the woman he would want to marry. Let me love him with all my heart and meet his needs. And Lord i dont feel loved enough because he isnt as verbal with it as me, tell him to show his love more" and all that sort of stuff. But the Holy Spirit showed me thats its none of my business if he loves me. I need to love him. Thats my business and the Lord will work on him. Also that its all very well to be loving to my partner and to all that but i will never be a good wife until i love Jesus with all my heart and all my soul and all my mind like the scriptures said. I had to take the focus of me and my partner and put it onto God and my Love for Him. We must never compare ourselves to other people. I mean saying "Am i a dying breed?" everyone has a diffferent opinion on that. Id say no. I know plenty of decent men and women. I also know plenty of horrid men and women. Theres batches in both sexes. Neither have it easier. Just dont look for love in all the wrong places. My friends do that. My unsaved friends go to pubs to meet people. Thats soooo the wrong place to go. People are either there to get drunk, get sex, or find "worldly love" based on feeling. Are there any nice girls at your church? Do you have a hobby? You dont need to go looking for love. Seek God, ask him to bring you the right person. Ask Him to make you right for Jesus, and ask him that the woman you meet to be your wife is also made right for Jesus, and you will find that "love never fails." Keep God as the focus. You and God, and your wife will be the same and you both will live for the Glory of the Lord and be happy and married well and....oh i could go on and on so ill stop here haha.
  13. A prostitute walks into your church in the middle of a Sunday morning worship service. She is in her street garb so the clothing is quite revealing. She sits in the back of the church and tries to sit still so no one notices her. What would your church do in this circumstance and why? What would you do and why? Were a very very small church because were just starting out. theres only about 15 of us! so she certainly wouldnt go un noticed hehe. We would all chat with her. See what shes doing there. Make her welcome and show her what Christianity is all about and invite her back next week. A very well known and well respected member of the community decides to stop by church one day and sits in one of the pews. He's called an upstanding Christian, but lately some of his other business transactions (that are illegal) have been surfacing. What would your church do in this circumstance and why? What would you do and why? it totally depends on what these "business transactions are" A middle class self-proclaimed skater punk walks in. For those not familiar with the stereotypical clothing, he is wearing a black t-shirt with black shorts that come down to mid shin. He has a beanie on his head and is pierced in both his ears, lip, and nose. What would your church do in this circumstance and why? What would you do and why? haha it would not bother me one bit. Heaps of my friends dress like that. Its got nothing to do with who they are, its just what they like to wear. The oldies in my church would LOVE it! Something different just fascinates them. Again, we would welcome him just like the prostitute woman. But i mean, whats to say this punk rocker isnt already saved? What you wear has nothing to do with it. Jesus never talked about keeping in fasion or looking a cerain way. A very vocal homosexual activist walks into your church and sits down in the front row. He is there not to cause a commotion but to see what is said. What would your church do in this circumstance and why? What would you do and why? Pray that Christ would minister to him during the message and that the Holy Spirit would convict him and show him love during worship and then after the service have a right old yarn with him about shopping. hahaha
  14. Do you not believe in life after death, bluebird? Please show me Scripture references to prove there is no life after death. Thanks, Fiosh <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course i believe in life after death, eternal life is a huge part of salvation! But i dont believe people go directly to heaven immediately. Were all judged on the same day arent we?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  15. Replys are in black... John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace {be} unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne."??????? {cf. Rev 3:1; 4:5; 5:6} The seven angels participate in the giving of "grace" and peace by God . Some Protestant commentators, aware of a certain difficulty here for their position, seek to redefine the "seven Spirits" as the Holy Spirit, but a check with the cross-references above (inc. Tobit) make this implausible. Other commentators accept these spirits as the seven archangels of Jewish angelology, as indeed they appear to be. 3) Revelation 5:8 and 8:3-4?? "And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four {and} twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints." ? "And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer {it} with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. (4) And the smoke of the incense, {which came} with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand." The saints (he 24 elders are regarded as dead Christians) and angels lay the prayers of the Christians on earth at the feet of God; that is, they are praying for them and acting as intercessory intermediaries. Thus, the propriety of invoking them logically follows from the plain fact of their intercession. This is identical to the Catholic teaching. Protestant commentaries scramble to come up with some alternate version of what is taking place here, straining at gnats, rationalizing, and splitting hairs. It is amusing to find that often these Protestant works will vehemently maintain that the Catholic view is definitely not taught in a particular Bible verse, while rarely offering a plausible or coherent alternate explanation! Protestantism accepts the superior knowledge of angels and their ability to understand and influence our thoughts (see 1 Cor 4:9), yet illogically deny that we could ever ask them for their aid, since they construct a false dichotomy whereby invocation of any being beside God is somehow always and necessarily idolatrous. Here, in these passages, dead saints are also exercising the same function as the angels. Yet, if we can't ask either type of being for their intercession, it seems that we could not pray for each other either, since the "invocation" of a saint or angel simply means asking them for their prayers to God, not as beings who are capable of answering the prayers in and of themselves. The Protestant argument, then, proves too much and must be discarded. 4) Revelation 6:9-10??? "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: (10) And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"? {cf. Zech 1:12} These dead Christian martyrs are uttering what are known as "imprecatory prayers," pleas for God's judgment of the wicked and vindication of the righteous (e.g., see Ps 35;69;79;109;139; Jer 11:18 ff.; 15:15 ff.; 18:19 ff.; Jesus in Mt 26:53). Thus, dead saints are praying for Christians on earth, and, by logical extension, can be asked for prayers. They are aware of earthly events (Heb 12:1), and are more alive, unfathomably more righteous (Jas 5:16), and obviously closer to God than we are. They need not be omniscient to hear our prayers, but merely out of time. It makes no less sense to ask for their prayers than to request those of any person on earth. In fact, the prayer above was answered by God who hastens the end of the age (8:1-5). Therefore, if the prayers of the Christians in heaven is so important in this instance, one can only imagine their immense weightiness in the overall scheme of things. 5) Matthew 18:10?? "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." The notion that every person has their own guardian angel, who has direct access to God, is strongly implied. If Jesus said He could have asked for the assistance of an angel (Mt 26:53) - and He certainly would not have been worshiping them in so doing - then we, who need their help infinitely more than He, can do the same without necessarily engaging in idolatry (anything can become an idol if we let it). Nor will it do for Protestants to equate the Intercession of the Saints with the communication with evil spirits by means of a medium or other occultic techniques. This is nonsense. The Communion of the Saints is nothing more than the recognition that saints after death (and angels) are more alive than us, aware of happenings on earth, desirous of aiding us, and able to be asked for help and to assist us with their prayer and intercession. 6) Dead Saints Appear on Earth to Interact With Men Not only does God not want a prohibition of contact between saints in heaven and on earth, but He goes so far as to allow, on several occasions as recorded in the Bible, dead saints to return to earth for this very purpose! These are instances accepted by Protestants, but their implications are only fully developed within Catholicism. We find, for example, Moses and Elijah appearing on the Mount of Transfiguration to talk to Jesus, while Peter, James, and John were present (Mt 17:1-3 / Mk 9:4 / Lk 9:30-31). Likewise, the two "witnesses" of Rev 11:3-13 are saints who had come back to life, thought by many commentators to be, again, Moses and Elijah, and by others, Enoch and Elijah. Thirdly, the prophet Samuel (not just a demon impersonating him) appears in 1 Sam 28:7-20,? as the great majority of commentators hold (the "Apocryphal" book Ecclesiasticus makes this clear - 46:13,20). "Many bodies of the saints" came out of their graves after Jesus' Resurrection and went into Jerusalem, appearing to many (Mt 27:50-53). Lastly, Jeremiah returns to earth (2 Maccabees 15:13-16). All of these occurrences involve long-dead figures (as op-posed to other resurrections such as Lazarus and Jairus' daughter), and demolish the notion of Protestantism that there is an unbridgeable gulf between heaven and earth - a sort of spiritual "Berlin wall." There is no such bridge, according to the Bible, because there is only one Church and Mystical Body of Christ, and death cannot affect the communion between its members of whatever estate. It's interesting to note that Moses and Samuel, who together appear in two and perhaps three of the five examples above, are renowned among Jews and Christians for their powerful intercession (Ex 32:11-12; 1 Sam 7:9; Ps 99:6; Jer 15:1 - implied after-death prayer). In all cases, much communication takes place with people on earth. Samuel talks to Saul and Saul replies; Peter, James, and John may have heard Moses and Elijah talking to Jesus (it's unclear); the two witnesses prophesy for three and a half years (obviously including conversation), the resurrected saints of Mt 27 "appeared unto many," presumably talking with them as did Jesus in His post-Resurrection appearances; and Jeremiah spoke to Judas Maccabeus. In light of these scriptural facts, how could anyone contend that God forbids such interaction, allowing only that between man and God, and men with men on earth? God could easily have disallowed any of these occurrences if they were indeed "contrary to the unique mediatorship of Jesus Christ." In conclusion, we find, then, that all the elements of the Catholic doctrines of the Communion of Saints are undoubtedly found in the Bible, and not just in the Deutero-canonical books, for all to see. 7) The Veneration of Saints? Devotions to angels and saints no more interfere and corrupt the incommunicable Glory of the Eternal God and Creator than does the love we have towards friends and relatives. A tender and healthy attachment to the saints will give vent to feelings in the language of hyperbole, just as human lovers wax eloquent in their romantic praises of each other, never intending to literally worship the object of love and affection. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  16. Putting mary in Jesus's position, The mediator and intercessor for us to the Father, is idolatry. Putting Mary, whom i do respect, as she was a blessed and obediant lady, putting her on a pedestal like that basically turns her into a godlern calf. How can they do that to her?! How can they do that to the Father? Im not angry, im sorrowful that it has been made this way, without scriptural evidence that it is right.
  17. Simple, if your beliefs agree with the bible, they are right. If they contradict the bible, they are wrong. And that's why you need to read bible quotes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  18. You pertend to fallow Christ but do not listen to Him. Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ Jhn 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way. 1Cr 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. 1Cr 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Act 18:15 But if it be a question of words and names, and [of] your law, look ye [to it]; for I will be no judge of such [matters]. Even Paul does not Judge on such matters. Dear Fiosh. Woe to you when all men speak well of you." Luke 6:26 Blessed are you when men reproach you, and persecute you, and, speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you, for My sake. Rejoice and exult, BECAUSE YOUR REWARD IS GREAT IN HEAVEN; for so did they persecute the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let them say what they will. I know in my heart that I love Jesus above all else and strive to live for Him. I believe you do too. God bless you, Fiosh <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Im not judging anyone. Im asking for scripture. Fiosh, i am not saying you dont love Jesus or anything like that, i know many Catholics that love the Lord. That has nothing to do with it. My problem is the worship which the DO most definately do. They pray to her statue!!!!! And why "hail" mary? If its a greeting, that means your talking to her. She's dead. She cant hear you, just like any other dead person. It's sin. Im sorry if i offended you but if you Pray to mary and "hail" or greet her.... your sinning not to mention wasting your time because she is Dead and you are only supposed to pray to the father through Jesus Christ. Praying to mary is like praying to your dead uncle or something. Pointless. So, ill ask again, im not judging. Im asking for scripture that back your beliefs. That is not judgement. Thats God's job. I only want to know where your ideas of praying to Mary and bowing before her statue... come from. Scripture please. I dont see why your delaying, I will become catholic immediately and repent if only you would show me in the bible where you are coming from. Blessings, Bluebird
  19. Salt, just like many other ppl, have made yet another post with much adament scripture to show that the worship pf mary is wrong.... yet were still, after 20 something pages of this post, waiting to see scripture from the likes of FIOSH and the other "mary worshippers" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE show scripture, or there is no point to this thread at all.
  20. In simple form: Jesus' suffering didnt stop at the physical beatings etc. This was just the beginning. The spitting, the beatings, the crown of thorns, the crucifixion, all this was bad but he also became sin. He didnt just TAKE our sins. He Became sin. So that it died when he did. Imagine BECOMING sin? what is sin? we all know. What comes with the burdan of sin? Whats the concequence? Hate, sadness, sickness, disease, opression, loneliness, hurt, greif, and many more awful things. The Lord took it all. And not just one persons... the whole worlds!!! What a spiritual, physical, and mental sacrafice! there is no greater sacrafice and no greater victory that ever has or ever will come to pass. He was resurrected to as a sign, as overcoming of death, as Victory, as to show his saints hope. Jesus didnt do it because his dad told him to. He had free will as everyone else did. He chose to be obediant. And he chose to give his life. Nobody took it. He gave it. Pray to God that he will show you. Let you see this wonderful truth.
  21. You beautiful girl! Dont worry about what the world thinks of you! The only one that matters is Jesus. And he loves you so so so so much he DIED for you! He was whipped, beaten, mocked, spat on, crucified, and only he knows what else just for you! His love is unconditional. It wont pass away, he wont ever leave you or forsake you, he will never hurt or tease you, you will never have to look different, or worry about how you look, he will never ever lie to you or say negative poisonous things to you. He is all you need in this life. Look to Jesus like never before. Pour your heart out to him in prayer. He can only start working out your life for you if you invite him to. Remember with him your free of these things your experiencing. He did not give his life for you so that you may be hurt and self concious, no! He died so that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Until you get into God's word and find those promises which he has in there for you, your only scraping the surface of your Christianity. Its like Jesus has given you a huge present and youve just taken off the bow. The rest is still unrevealed. unseen and in being that way, of no good use! Build your faith, read how much you as a precious induvidual, mean to him! Pray, read your bible, request confidence and love. Tell your boyfriend that you are insecure. Be honest. But dont blame him. Let him know you know your insecure and it would be great if he could help you in any way you can think of that would help. Maybe write down what you love about each other, a whole list, and swap. Then keep yours somewhere safe and whenever you feel yucky about your relationship because of your insecurity, look at that page. Also remember, whatever is on there? Take them and add at least another thousand things and know that Jesus loves you that much. I dont even know you and i love you Sunshine! Because your a sister in Jesus Christ and that my dear, makes you a hero in my eyes. A boldness to believe is something nobody can take from you. Jesus is someone nobody can take or replace. You lean on the Lord. You see yourself as Jesus sees you! Beautiful.
