Hi Ad Hoc, I agree. And then in eternity, New Heavens and New Earth, there will be different bodies - 1. on earth - like Adam before the fall. (Rev. 21: 24) 2. In the New Jerusalem - heavenly bodies. (Heb. 11: 12 - 16) 3. In the third heaven - glorified bodies like the Lord`s. (1 John 3: 2)

There is a major denomination here in Australia (& the world) that says its goal is - `Advancing God`s Kingdom across the nations.` So, my question is what of God`s Kingdom did He give away? Didn`t God create all the world and everything in it? Doesn`t God own the world and the people and the nations? So how can people `Advance God`s kingdom?`

Interesting. So, did not Adam and Eve have Eternal (ongoing life)life before they sinned? And it seems the tree of life is needed in the New Jerusalem. The question is `Does just one eating of the tree give eternal life or does it maintain life?`

Yes, praise the Lord He overcame. As to `dominion` man never gave that away. Man still has dominion over the animals, birds, fish etc. The question is as God created the world and everything in it, and never gave it away, then what did Satan offer Jesus?

Not really, it says that after they had eaten of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that they THEN hadn`t gone and taken of the tree of life. it never says anywhere that they had never partaken of it. (You know bro Ad Hoc, we always seem to find something to have a difference over. Well, I suppose it makes discussion interesting.)

Yes, Jesus conquered Satan and what was Satan`s. That is what we are looking for. What did Satan offer Jesus?

As to Adam and Eve, their moral characters were vulnerable as it takes choices over time to develop a moral character. Adam and Eve did not know God intimately. They looked upon Him as a master over them. The devil came as a `friend` who was telling them the `real` story.

Hi Ad Hoc, And why do you think Adam and Eve had not partaken of the `tree of life?` God said they could eat of every tree (except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). The `tree of life` was in the garden and obviously Adam and Eve ate of the different trees. It was only after they sinned that they then couldn`t partake (again?) of the tree of life, because they then would live forever in their sin. Partaking of the tree of life before they sinned enabled Adam and Eve to have continual life.

Now, if we look a bit closer at what Satan said we may get more clarification. `Again the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. ` (Matt. 4: 8 & 9) The kingdoms of the world and their glory.

Hi Ad Hoc, In context to all of scriptures relating to what God gave man - yes the earth, ....to have dominion over the animals, birds, fish etc. Michael is God`s angel and not Satan`s. Michael had the authority to say "the Lord rebuke you!" God does not have a `system.` Jesus became a man but did not join Himself to man`s government which is what I thought you wrote. But reading again I see what you mean as in Jesus becoming a man. I agree. As to dominion, that does not mean control of everything or ownership of everything. Who brought on the flood, who judged the kings of nations, who rains on the just and unjust, who upholds everything by the word of His power?

Hi VA, Just another thought I had. When we say `words,` people can think - `a, it, is, but, however, the, this, etc.` They are words but that is not what Jesus is referring to. The `words` that God speaks are truth, and we interpret those in our language using our alphabet. Jesus is God`s `alphabet,` and we see God`s truth in Him. Jesus even said `I am the Alpha and Omega,` the two ends of the Hebrew alphabet. Thus, every part in between. His Omniscience – “I am the Alpha & Omega,” Christ is the whole alphabet, from whom the entire vocabulary for expressing revealed truth is derived. All the treasures of wisdom & knowledge are in Him. (Col.2:3) There is no such thing as knowledge before Him & there cannot be any beyond Him. Christ, as the Alpha & Omega, is the only way to spiritual secrets, (Rev.2:17) He is the key to unlock the treasures of truth, Himself the interpreter of the invisible, (Rev. 3: 7) & the Door of entrance to eternal enjoyment. (Ps. 16:11 John 10:9)

Yes, it was a generalization, and of course those who work according to the Lord`s ways do steward His resources better. And Amen and Amen as in our hope and trust is in the Lord and not Satan and man`s World System.

As God`s word says - `Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat up your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, while you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.....` (James 5: 1 - 4)

Hi VA, A very important discussion. God`s word helps us to stand against the enemy`s lies. (2 Cor. 10; 5) However, it is the truth of Christ, His character that feeds our spirits. `partakers of the divine nature.` (2 Peter 1: 4)

Hi Neighbor, It`s the cycle of history. A generation works hard, the next not so much and then the third generation has it easy and loses it all or there is a war. Add to that QE (printing of money) and wow all the eye can see want, want, desire, now I`m entitled etc.
