  1. It seems we are also looking at Jesus` body when He was manifest on earth. We know that the father prepared a body for Him. (Heb. 10: 5 `Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.` We know that His body was human, flesh and bones, however His blood was - sinless, holy and divine. `How precious in the blood of Jesus. If the Blood of Christ was only sinless it would be unique, because it would be the first and only time since the fall of man that such had ever been in the world, (Rom. 3: 23) that would have made it intrinsically precious beyond degree. But it was more than sinless Blood, it was holy Blood; for Christ`s life was a holy life in peerless and matchless degree (Heb. 7: 26) Before the fall, the blood of Adam was sinless and innocent blood; but there is no suggestion that he had attained to a state of holiness and that, therefore, his blood was holy. The Blood of Christ was the first holy Blood; that multiplies the intrinsic value. Then, to crown it all, in some unparallel, inexplicable way it was divine Blood: it is described as the blood of God. (Acts 20: 28) `Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with His own blood.` (Acts 20: 28) Therefore, the Blood of Christ that was shed on the cross of Calvary for the salvation of mankind, was sinless, holy and divine. The intrinsic value of the Blood of Christ was infinitely above that of the blood of a righteous or a good man or that of a martyr; it was the precious Blood of the divine and holy Saviour of the world. The shedding of that Blood, the pouring out of that life was an act once for all - never could it be repeated (Heb. 9: 26) The revelation of the Word of God is that the intrinsic worth of any human blood is of the utmost value. The intrinsic value of the precious Blood of Christ is above all imagination, assessment and degree. ` (Ref. W.A. Rowe - my first pastor)
  2. Amen enoob, Heb. 10: 5 `Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.`
  3. Hi VA, I so agree that the Lord was like us, fully human, though without tainted blood. His blood was pure, precious and divine. it was from the Father. Then when Christ died and rose again He was given a glorified Body - immortal and incorruptible. Sorry I wasn`t too clear on that point in the op.
  4. Great Sower, I do like questions also that make me look more closely to God`s word. I agree that the Lord was fully a man, (yet with the divine nature). However, after His death and resurrection He has a glorified body which is far different than the human body that died. He can never die now and has as immortal and incorruptible body. Sorry that I wasn`t so clear on that point in my op.
  5. Hi Marathoner, Thanks for commenting. That is very insightful and needed, thank you.
  6. The First Adam and the Second Adam – are their bodies the same? The First Adam. When God created the First Adam he was made from the dust of the earth. `And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.` (Gen. 2: 7) God told the First Adam to be fruitful and have dominion over the earth. `God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.` (Gen. 1: 28) The First Adam had a physical body, with flesh, blood and bones. God told Noah - `You shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.` (Gen. 9: 4) So, we see that man`s inheritance is the earth and even though man sinned, God will restore mankind to the earth again, the new earth. We read of people of the nations on the new earth walking in the light of the New Jerusalem. `And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.` (Rev. 21: 24) These people on the earth will have bodies as the first Adam`s body with the ability to procreate. They will live forever for the Lord will feed them of His life – the Tree of Life. Now, let us look at the Second Adam – Jesus. (to make things clear, I am referring to Jesus after He died and rose again - His glorified Body.) `The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.` (1 Cor. 15: 47 – 49) The believers who are in Christ, in the Body of Christ, will have a body like unto the Lord`s. `…we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.` (1 John 3: 2) And Jesus` body is glorified, with flesh and bones but NOT blood. `Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have. ` (Luke 24: 39) His life is by the Holy Spirit as our life will be. Our body will be immortal and incorruptible and receives its life from the Lord for we are intimately connected – Head – Body. `For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ` (1 Cor. 15: 53) Thus, we see that there is a difference between the First Adam`s body and the Second Adam`s body. Each are made for a different inheritance in God`s great kingdom. Earthly man will have dominion over the earth as God promised. Heavenly man will have dominion over all of God`s great kingdom. `To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne…` (Rev. 3: 21)
  7. Christ rejects the offer of Economic Leader. After the disciples had gone out preaching and healing, Jesus took them to a deserted place near Bethsaida. However, the people found out where He was, and the multitudes followed Him. Jesus preached and healed all those needing healing. Then as the day drew to a close the disciples told Jesus to send the people away to get food. However, Jesus told the disciples to feed the people themselves. Andrew said - `There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many? (John 6: 9) Jesus was teaching His disciples of His and their reliance on the Father for daily needs. `Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks he distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise as much fish, as they wanted….` (John 6: 11) Now, not only are the people fed but some men realized that here was someone who could perform miracles of producing great amounts of food from a small amount. They therefore decided that they would grab Jesus for they saw the economic gain for themselves. `Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” Therefore, when Jesus perceived they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, he departed again to a mountain by Himself alone.` (John 6: 11, 14 & 15) But, Jesus declined the offer by going into a quiet place by Himself. The False Prophet receives the offer of Economic leader. In the tribulation the man called the false prophet will receive the offer of Economic leader, (as well as the Religious leader). He will oversee the Economic aspect of the World System. No one will be able to `buy or sell,` unless they have the authorization, the mark, number and name, of the World Leader. `He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads. And that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.` (Rev. 13: 16 & 17)
  8. I agree that the tribulation is shorter than the 70th week. If you look at my diagram you will see, 1,260 days (end of A/C`s rule) and 1,290 days (cleansing of the temple) end of 70th week.
  9. I was pointing out the fact that Jesus calls the Pharisees `of their father the devil,` because of their works, (as you so rightly said) and thus there are no hybrid devil/human beings.
  10. Hi Dennis, I do love Hebrews and studied it in Bible College many years ago. I believe the writer by the Holy Spirit is speaking to believers who had `partaken of the Holy Spirit.` If they `fall away,` then who is going to convict and renew them but the very person of the Holy Spirit whom they rejected. Hebrews is very interesting for it reveals the inheritance of those from Abel onwards (till the Body of Christ) who believed God`s promise for the heavenly city. (Heb. 11: 1, 16) Then we read of our inheritance which is a greater dominion. (Heb. 11: 40)
  11. Great....`that through these (promises) you may be partakers of the divine nature,...` (2 Peter 1: 4) We are of Christ seed - pure, holy, precious and righteous.
  12. Hi Dennis, A good day to you too, bro. Now, are you telling me that the Pharisees are of seed, semen of Satan? Jesus said to the Pharisees, "You are of your father the devil,...` (John 8: 44)
  13. Jesus was also tempted by offers from people and Satan to take a position in the World System – Political, Economic and Religious. Christ rejects Satan`s Offer of Religious Leader. Satan, the devil, took Jesus to a high mountain and showed Him the kingdoms of the world and what they have produced, their glory. And these kingdoms were those under the Roman Empire at that time. `Again, the devil took Him (Jesus) up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ` (Matt. 4: 8) Satan had influenced man in organizing how these kingdoms operate. He proudly showed Jesus the Temples built to honour their gods; the structures like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Caesar’s Palace; the aqueducts and roads throughout the land; gold, silver and precious stones made into intricate jewellery and for commerce. The world system built to honour man and his accomplishments. Satan then told Jesus the cost of being ruler over all that `glory.` `And he said to Him, “All these things I will give to You if you will fall down and worship me.” (Matt. 4: 9) Satan desired Jesus to not only rule the kingdoms but to worship him. If Jesus did then the people of the world would also worship Satan. Thus, Satan would have Jesus as his High Priest. Then Jesus said to Him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the LORD you God, and Him only shall you serve.`” (Matt. 4: 10) Jesus rejected Satan`s offer of religious leader of his World System. The False Prophet receives the offer of Religious leader. In the tribulation a man will receive the offer of religious leader of the World System. He is called the False prophet, and causes all to worship the World leader, (the beast). `And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, (Global Leader) telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. ` (Rev. 13: 14 & 15)
  14. For Israel and the Nations, but not the Body of Christ.
  15. People trying to Influence Christ. When Jesus Christ was on earth, He knew that His mission was to give Himself as a sacrifice for mankind. However, there were many people that tried to stop Him or even to kill Him. But Jesus never got deflected from His purpose. When Jesus returned from the wilderness He came to Nazareth where He had grown up. Jesus went to the synagogue and read from the prophet Isaiah a prophecy about Himself. `Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time….. So he came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up…..He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read….`The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me to preach…to heal…..to proclaim liberty….to recover sight…` (Luke 4: 13 – 18) Jesus said that `Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.` (Luke 4: 21) But the people did not believe Him and tried to not only send Him from their village but to kill Him. `…all those in the synagogue…..were filled with wrath, and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill….that they might throw Him down over the cliff. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.` (Luke 4: 28 – 29) One day Jesus was telling His disciples that He would have to go to Jerusalem and suffer from the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed but will be raised on the third day. Peter didn`t want Jesus to die, probably thinking that He could deliver them from the Romans. Jesus realized it was Satan influencing Peter. Then Peter took Him aside, and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord; this shall not happen to You! But He (Jesus) turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” (Matt. 16: 22 & 23) The Scribes and Pharisees of the rulership of Israel at the time did not receive Jesus and were always trying to trip Him up through the law. However, Jesus revealed the greater truth - `I desire mercy and not sacrifice. ` (Matt. 12: 1 – 8) Later the Pharisees said that Jesus was working with the ruler of demons, then they wanted a sign. Through out Jesus` ministry these rulers of Israel continually tried to trip Him up, for they were jealous that the people went after Him and concerned for their authority. `Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.` (Matt. 26: 3 & 4)
  16. Awesome God and so well done. Thank you Patticats. You do find great songs.
  17. Hi a, I believe you are a bit premature. The Ez. 38 & 39 war from the Northern army is the one looming up on the horizon.
  18. Overcoming Desire for Self-Glory. Finally, Satan, the devil tempted Jesus to receive rulership and glory of the world systems by going against what the Father has written. `Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world (system) in all their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if you will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve.` (Matt. 4: 8 – 10) Then when Jesus miraculously healed people, He did not desire them to tell others so that He would receive adoration from them. `When he had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (Matt. 8:1 – 4) Also, after Jesus raised the ruler`s daughter to life, two blind men cried out for mercy. When Jesus healed them, He warned them to not tell others, for Jesus did not seek men`s glory. `When Jesus departed from there, (the ruler`s house) two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.” But when they had departed they spread the news about Him in all that country.` (Matt. 9: 27 – 31) Jesus was not desiring self-glory but to do the will of the Father.
  19. Bro Ad Hoc, I was very surprised at your comments. I have answered both your postings. For example - You said - O.K.. Let me be sure of what you have said. "1. First, please give the verses that name the "THIRD Heaven" I then replied - 1. Third heaven. (2 Cor. 12: 2. Ps. 68: 33. Rev. 4: 1 & 2) And so on. You asked I replied. You now say -You were unable to answer my questions. Where is the discussion there? What part of my answer did you not understand or need more information? To just wipe my answer off is very rude. We are here to discuss not dismiss each other. Next you ask a whole NEW question and blame me for not answering it. You said - The verses you gave do not intimate RULE from the third heaven. Where have you asked that before? So, if we are going to have a sensible discussion, we need to have one or two points and then ask the questions, and then comment specifically on the reply. And especially not saying you have not answered when I have.
  20. 1. Third heaven. (2 Cor. 12: 2. Ps. 68: 33. Rev. 4: 1 & 2) 2. The Universal realm. (Gen. 1: 14 - 18) 3. The earth. (Gen. 1: 9 - 12) Ps. 8 refers to man as God made him. However, further revelation was given to some, as we read of in Hebrews 11. The Kingdom of God is His rulership over all. (1 Cor. 15: 24) When Jesus was manifested on earth He came to His own, His people Israel as their King. He revealed His great authority over demons, sickness, disease, nature, wild animals, etc. This power was of no earthly king. The kingdom, rule of their King was in their midst, but they refused Him. Yes, the Lord had authority over Satan and his demons, however Christ had to die to overcome death and Satan`s power over it. `Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. And release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ` (Heb. 2: 14 & 15) He rose victorious, (as we well know & praise Him).
  21. Morning or afternoon to you, bro, I must thank you for asking such great questions. Yes, indeed we do seem to misunderstand each other. I do think I`m replying to you on a relevant point and you think I`m missing what you said. So, we need to attend a bit better. Though we must admit it is good to have `iron sharpening iron.` So, the word throne is not just a seat in some place, but I think you would agree it represents `power and authority.` Thus, when the Lord comes to earth to deliver Israel and judge the nations He has the power and authority the Father has given Him. No one on earth has given Him that power and authority. There is no travelling taking a seat with Him, but where ever the Lord goes He has the power and authority (represented in Rev. 4: 2) from the Father. As to Eph. 1: 21 & 22 it is the Lord and His power and authority that is above every thing - `And He put all things under His feet.` The name of the Lord is His power and authority and His character. Col. 1: 16 tells us that the Lord created all realms for Himself. He has the power and authority over them all. `For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.` (Col. 1: 16) Now to your very interesting question. Of course, God did not change His mind or original plan and purpose for mankind. God just unfolded more of that especially after Christ ascended to His right hand. For there the Lord revealed to His Body His whole plan and purpose. Remember the Apostle Paul told the disciples in Ephesus that he had decaled to them the `whole counsel of God.` (Acts 20: 27) So, let`s start with Adam and Eve. God foreknew they would disobey but God had His plan of redemption, as we well know. Now, we are not talking about their salvation but where they will go in eternity. Did you ever notice in Heb. 11, the `hall of fame,` that the list of those of faith in God`s promises start at Abel, not Adam. Why is that? It is because Abel was given a further revelation of a city as his inheritance. `Now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. `(Heb. 11: 16) Adam and Eve were only given the earth as their inheritance. (Gen. 1: 28) The Body of Christ has been given an even greater revelation of their inheritance, which is to rule and reign with Christ on His seat of power and authority in the third heaven. (Rev. 3: 21, 4: 2) All realms will have righteous rulership under the Lord Jesus Christ. He created all realms and will have His righteous rulership in each.
  22. Overcoming Desire for Self-Preservation. Again, Satan tempted Jesus to show that He is the Son of God by being protected from harm and thus death by throwing Himself off the Temple. `Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: `He shall give His angels charge over you,` and, `In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.`” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, `You shall not tempt the Lord your God.`” Then when Jesus was betrayed in the garden one of His disciples used a sword to protect Him. Jesus revealed that He could ask the Father for protection against death by sending twelve legions of angels but that way wouldn`t fulfill the Father`s plans. Jesus said – “ Put up your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How could the scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”(Matt. 26: 53) Being protected from death was not helping mankind. Jesus knew that it was only by going to the cross and taking on Himself the sins of the world, that He would overcome the devil and his power over death. It was not through self-preservation. `Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.` (Heb. 2: 14 & 15) Jesus did not seek self-interest for protection but looked to the Father as He obeyed. `Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.` (Heb. 5: 7 & 8)
  23. Hi Ad Hoc, You have misunderstood my intents there bro. I was not about deceiving but explaining. We know Abraham`s seed is Christ not that we are physically from Abraham. Some people may think that so I wrote `OF` as an explanation NOT to deceive. The point I was making as to Eph. 1: 21 is that NO MATTER WHERE the Lord`s own throne is He is still and will be `far above all....in this age and also in that which is to come.` The Lord`s own throne we know from Rev. 4: 2 is in the third heaven, the angelic realm. There with His Body we will be ruling and reigning for ever. Now you well know that when the Lord comes to earth with His angelic army that He sits on the throne of His glory, which is His authority given of the Father, and its seat of power and authority is in the third heaven. (Rev. 4: 2) You misinterpret what I say. Wouldn`t it be better to say `did you mean such and such? ` instead of accusing. For we know who is the author of accusing.
