  1. Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. This is what happened when someone gets born again. They are translated into the Kingdom of God. Most Christians do not have a clue to what this means. It requires faith and belief in the Word of God to be able to experience this in their life. Exercising our spiritual senses is a must to be able to see and understand this. We are so use to using our physical senses and never use the spiritual senses that come to ones heart after receiving a new heart. There are limits to our ability to grasp spiritual things unless we know that we have this ability and use them. The Apostle Paul could not teach certain things to a group of believers because they never exercised their senses to discern between good and evil. Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
  2. Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? You seem to be unaware that Jesus was crucified through the "eternal Spirit". It was not a one time deal as you are thinking, and now everything is OK. The reason Jesus does not need to offer himself for our sins every year as they did in the Old Testament is because his sacrifice for mans sins was eternal. There will never be a time throughout all eternity when the blood of Jesus Christ which he sprinkled on God's mercy will ever dry up, nor will his body be without the scars in his hands, feet, and side. For man to be able to live forever in God's presents required a sacrifice that would last for ever. Why would a God who created all things give so much up for his creation. Because he loved man so much he would die to save him from death, even if it meant to confine himself with a body scared for eternity.
  3. Ephesians 1:11, In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: Ephesians 1:12,That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Ephesians 1:13, In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your alvation:in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:14,Which is the earnest of our inheritanceuntil the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. The word “sealed”, means “to mark”, God has marked us with the Holy Spirit, after we were saved, and then He tells us why he marked us, “Which is the earnest of our inheritance..”. Now, we know the word, “earnest”, means ,“down payment”, at least that is what we have been told. Here is the definition, “Earnest money, a pledge, something which stands for part of the price, and paid beforehand to confirm a transaction.” .Primarily, it means a, “pledge”, My youngest son is about to get married in a few months, he has found a woman who he loves dearly, and has, “pledged”, to marry her, he gave her something as to mark her as his own, an engagement ring. The Greek word for “earnest”, is, “arrabon”, but the modern day translation is, “arrabona”, which means, “engagement ring”. God has given unto us an engagement ring as the mark, and earnest of our inheritance. The Holy Spirit is our engagement ring from him--we are His. “until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” In Jewish tradition, marriage was considered a financial transaction, (a covenant), between two people. It was the groom's Father that chose a bride for his son, and there was a price to be paid for this union. Once the price was paid, the bride was called the ,“chattel”, which means, “the purchased possession”. After the price was paid the groom takes possession of the purchased possession, which is us, his bride. Even though the marriage ceremony has not yet taken place, legally the marriage was binding and legal once the price had been paid. The reason why there will be no marriages in the Kingdom of God is because there will be no singles to marry. They are all already married to Christ.
  4. Brother, if you have asked Jesus to come into your heart and save you from your sins you belong to him. When a person comes to Jesus he promises to bring to completion what he has started in your life. Sinning is something the Holy Spirit and your heart condemns when you do. I am so glad to hear you feel the way you do, that means your conscience is still working to bring you to repentance. Yielding yourself to God as a living sacrifice is only way you will find peace for your heart. Trusting him in everything no matter what is happening in your life you will see the salvation of God, and you will praise Him for it. Do not let your heart fall away from the love of your life. Think on him every minute of every day which will cause the Lord to have your attention and then he will speak to you directly. You will never be the same. Php_1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  5. Adam was not the first to sin, Lucifer did. If the earth was cursed because of Adam's sin, what happen to the earth when Lucifer sinned? He did rule on earth, in which he said "I will ascend above the clouds" You can not ascend above the clouds unless you are first under the clouds.
  6. So he just let's people die nonbelievers? But then again God knew John Smith would die a nonbeliever. But a person only knows God exists if the Father draws them in. If I were a nonbeliever at the great white throne then I would ask God why he didn't draw me in to salvation! God will only act in direct response to prayer only if it aligns with his will. What if it's God's will for the grandson to not repent. Tit 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 1Jn 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. Every single person born on planet earth, God reveals to them that he does exist. There are no excuses not to believe, The definition of a "unbeliever" is someone who knows the truth, but has decided not to believe. Anyone who says that they don't believe in God calls them a liar, because God has shown it to them. The Lord knew from the beginning, even before he created the world who would hear the Gospel and believe for salvation. Just because he knows this, does not mean man has no free choice. All of God's elect are those who choose to be his.
  7. Money = time = life spent on getting it. Money = life, no wonder people don't want to give it up. Of course, laying down one's life and praying for the lost, or witnessing to others, or just living a Godly life in front of those in darkness is giving, and not just 10% but 100%.
  8. Absolutely true. It is the anointing that teaches us, which is Christ in us. Every day I thank the Lord for the Spirit of Wisdom, and revelation, and power, and might, and understanding, and Spirit of the fear of the Lord and all manner of workmanship. Instead of learning about God we are to taught by Him and he does reveal himself to us confirming it by his Word and bears witness through the Holy Spirit..
  9. Really never studied those scriptures before, but knew about them. What you have said bears witness with my spirit.
  10. Here is a little secret I learned as a very young child. I found out that if I would cry loud and long enough I could get just about anything I wanted. I also found this out to be true with God too. Pro 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; Pro 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Pro 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; Pro 2:4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Pro 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. Pro 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Pro 2:7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. Do you remember how to cry?
  11. Every Christian starts on the same level, not knowing anything. Reading the Bible was never intended by God for you to figure out on your own. It was designed by God the Father to be revealed to you. The Father is the teacher, he confirms what he teaches you by his Word, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to what was taught. One of the hardest things to learn is that the Bible will not say anything to you until you first have a relationship with God the Father. Jesus said this..... Joh 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. . Notice: Jesus said the very first thing that happens is (1) you hear the Father (prayer) (2) He teaches you something (3) then you go to the Word. The Word of God does not speak to you until the Father speaks. It is in his Word he confirms what he has taught you as true, then the Holy Spirit bears witness to what you learned as coming from God. A lot of Christians put the Word first which is not the divine order in how God works. If you start with the Word, and you do not understand what you are reading, then who do you turn to for clarification? Your pastor, commentaries, or your other brothers and sisters in the Lord. If we start out first with our fellowship with our Heavenly Father through prayer we will not have this problem.
  12. Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Notice: we are saved by grace. Grace alone without faith being a requirement. Why? Because faith has "works" connected to it, and we are not saved by any kind of works associated with grace because that would mean we earned it. We are not saved by "faith" but grace alone. It is very important that we fully understand that grace alone is how we are saved. Where does faith come in then? It is through faith that we gain "access" into this grace in which we are saved. The word "access" means "gateway, or admission" Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Faith is the key to accessing salvation that was freely given to us by God's grace!!!! Just to prove to you that faith is not a requirement for salvation is found in these two scriptures..... Eph 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: There is no mention of any "faith" in these scriptures. It was only by God's grace we were saved, and even when we were still dead in our sins he gave us life and raised us up with Jesus Christ into his Kingdom!!!!! Here is another one...... 2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, We were "saved" and "called" before the world began!!!! It was according to his purpose and "grace" No mention of faith in this scripture either. Why? Because it is strictly by "grace" we are saved without faith being a requirement!!! This all happened before the world began!!! Now if we want to experience this salvation which is only by "grace", it requires "faith" to be able to access this salvation. Where does works come in to faith? The Bible tells us that "faith works by love" Gal 5:6 Faith without works is dead, but who is the one responsible for doing these works? We find that "God is love" Love is not a feeling it is a person. Only God can do the works of faith, we don't because faith works of love (God)!!! This takes us out of the picture so all we have to do is what Jesus tells us that the only "work" we are do is simply believe the Word of God. Joh 6:27 Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal." Joh 6:28 Then they said to him, "What must we do, to be doing the works of God?" Joh 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."
  13. Did Jesus ever claim to anything on his own? Did he ever take things into his own hands and just do them? Jesus said.... John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Where does that put us? If Jesus said he could do nothing on his own, What makes us think we can do anything on our own? Sorry, I posted this before knowing "Edwin" already said the same thing. The only thing we as Christians are suppose to do is this.... Joh 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Joh 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. The only work we are suppose to do is "believe the Word of God"
  14. 2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? Jesus Christ is walking this earth in you!
  15. That is such a huge question to answer, and I think eventually every born again Christian wants to know that answer. I can not say I know all the answers for sure, but I can say that it could only have be done by a spiritual being who is all knowing, and has the Wisdom to foresee all that would happen before it happens. There are so many things that the Lord accomplished through the death, burial and resurrection of his Son that it is hard to comprehend it's grandeur, and scope in how he acquired salvation for his Church. I think the first thing to know is that Jesus died on the cross not just for us, but that we would die in him, so the demands of God's own laws would be satisfied. The Lord God can never go against his own Word or laws. If the scripture says, "the soul that sinneth must die" there is no getting out of that. There is no get out of death free card anywhere in scripture. We had to die. Since the Devil knew that from the beginning he thought that there was no way God was going to be able to save his man because all of mankind was now tainted by his first man Adam. All of Adam's offspring would also be tainted by sin. What the Devil did not know was God knew Adam would fall, so, God moved in advance to save his man, even before the foundation of the world. This was a mystery hidden in God and he was not telling anyone what he had done until after he secured salvation for his man. I think the very first hint we find is before creation when God the Father turned to his Son and told him, "Ask of me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance....." Psa 2:6 "I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain." Psa 2:7 I will proclaim the LORD's decree: He said to me, "You are my son; today I have become your father. Psa 2:8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. This is when God the Father brought forth Wisdom which is Jesus, and through him create all things visible and invisible. The word "Nations" refers to nations of people and different tongues. So we find the Father telling Jesus to ask him for these nations and people, and I will give them to you. We know Jesus asked God the Father for these, and received them because we find this scripture in the Book of Revelations...... Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; I wonder if anybody ever wondered when we the Church were placed in Christ. I don't think we think about those things too much as we just by faith believe, and accept we are there some how. I am not one of those kind of people as I want to know how salvation works. When Jesus said..... . Joh 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. I had always thought, "wait a minute, when did God the Father give me to Jesus?" I had always thought I am placed in Christ as one comes to faith. The truth is God already knew from the beginning all who would come to Jesus as their savior before creation according to his foreknowledge. God the Father preempted saving his Church before Adam ever sinned by placing them in Christ before the foundations of the world. We see this in several scriptures in the New Testament. 2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, We were given salvation and life before the world began!! We did not know we were saved back then, we had no clue to this knowledge. Nobody knew this as it was hidden by God until the time came for it to be disclosed. God kept it a secret so the Devil would not know. We were kept in death by not knowing the Gospel. Knowing truth is every thing. You can not have or experience what you do not know you have. Remember Jesus said, " and you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free..." It is not until we know the truth before it sets us free.Notice how Jesus destroyed death for us..... 2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Jesus destroyed death by bringing the life that was already given to us from the beginning through the Gospel!! Notice, the Gospel does not give life, it brings life. Not knowing what the Lord God had done for us and given us from the beginning is abiding in death. This scripture gives us another clue.... 1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Not knowing is death. Man is not capable of receiving revelation from God because he is spiritual dead. Paul the Apostle wrote this verse, but he did not quote all of it for some unknown reason. I can only figure, it would only be revealed to those looking for it by the Holy Spirit. Here is the complete quote. Isa 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. When Adam and Eve sinned this revelation of what God had given, and prepared for his man was lost forever. Now being born again, and mans spirit restored to where it can now receive these things by the spirit of God, death can now be destroyed and man can now begin to believe and experience what his God and saviour had already given and prepared for him from the beginning! Notice the next verse..... 1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. The only way for man to die and yet live again would be by being in Christ when he came, and so in his death we die with him in him, (I am crucified with Christ...) satisfying the claims of God Word, and still live again because Jesus rose again from the dead also making us alive again in him. There was no other way of acquiring salvation for man. Satan had no idea what the Lord had done by placing his man in his Son Jesus Christ in the beginning, for had he known he would have never crucified the Lord of Glory. 1Co 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. One other point. In the Gospel of John we read this, but I don't think we really understood it as we just read over it without seeing this..... Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. This is taking about in the beginning. The Word was in the beginning and then it says in the word there was life, and then it tells us exactly what the life was. ".... the life was the light of men" I did not say the life was the light of God as God is light and life. It said the life was the light of men. Men were living in the Word (Jesus Christ) in the beginning!!! That was God's Church which he foreknew before the world came into existence!!!
  16. My friend, you are the only face of God they are going to see at your job. The greatest witness to them is just living the life of God in their presence. We are living epistles known and read of all men. You can preach the Gospel without saying a word by letting the light, and water of God to flow out of you. They will notice and just might come to you ask you what the reason of the hope you have in you. Be prepared to give them an answer.
  17. Prayer is not something you start and then after a couple minutes you stop. It is something you start and never stop doing. We are to pray always with all manner of prayer at all times. Prayer is fellowshipping with God the Father through the Holy Spirit. Having your heart and mind set on him 24/7 will guarantee you to have great success in your prayer life. It is very rude to speak to someone when they are not paying attention to you. When you have your heart tuned to him 24/7, he will speak to you, not to your head, but heart. Tell the Lord I said Howdy!
  18. Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but Adam, and Eve's sin not only affected themselves but also of their offspring that they would have. It was passed down from each and every generation after them. Like someone has already said, sin is like deadly disease that has affected all mankind. It was not God's purpose for this to happen as he gives all of his creations a free will to choose right or wrong. He does not force anyone to do anything. He could have just left us to die eternally, but because of his great love for humanity he provided a way so no one would have be separated from his Glory and love. This was God's desire from the beginning. Angels do not marry and have offspring so their sins did not pass on to other angels.
  19. Since you already know that "repentance" means ,"to change your mind", but that does not mean to change what you are thinking about, but to change from your carnal mind (which is the enemy of God) in your head, to the mind of Christ (which is your new life) in your heart.
  20. Amp, ESV, KJV KJV mostly for memorizing scripture.
  21. After becoming born again of the Word of God by the Spirit of God, the exact Spirit that was in Jesus Christ now has become our new life. As you have already posted, "It is no longer I that liveth, but Christ liveth in me..." That new "I" which is Christ can never sin, or die, or ever fail, as it is revealed to us in this scripture.... 1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Sin happens when we wrestle control from Christ in us and take back control to ourselves. As you also have already posted, when we do sin, it is no longer "I" doing it, but sin that dwelleth in our flesh. Being able to walk without sinning requires us to keep our hearts set on things above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (ESV) Someone asked me one time, "How long can a man walk in the Spirit?" I said back to him, "How long can you keep your heart set on the things of God? that's how long" Of course, as long as we are living in these physical bodies there will always be the agitating presence of sin in our flesh.
  22. Jesus said, "do not judge accoring to apperance", "judge rightiously", Jesus said make sure you are not doing what you are telling other peoplr not ot do, in other words take the log out of your own eyes first, then you can take the speck out of your brothers eye. Jesus judged during his life on earth when he told the religious leaders of his day when he said, "you are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do" I dont think that went over to well with them, or all those to whom heard it. Jesus was not being mean to them, he was simply speaking the truth. This was love in action, Jesus always let me people know exactly were they were in their beliefs. John the baptist also brought judgement to Herod who was living with his brothers wife. All the Apostles brought condemnation to those in the Church who were doing wrong. As it is written 1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 1Co 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 1Co 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 1Co 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? Pro 9:8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
  23. Jesus said "the Kingdom of God is with in you", not somewhere out in the sky. That does not make anysense to our mind, because we think the universe on the outsife of us is bigger. The spiritual Kingdom of God is that is in us is eternal and has no bounds. As it is written.... Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. We need to start thinking that this eternal Kingdom in which we have been translated into will come from inside of us to the outside of us. It is the good man that brings good things to pass that what is with in him to the outside. Luk 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. We are that good man.
