I bolded the part that stuck in my heart. That is honest brother, and that is what I believe is what the Holy Spirit is searching for in each of us. Honesty, and willingness ( which is the second part ). We are all there, as none are yet perfected. Don't look at fault in others, but at the mercy and grace of God which is way bigger. In yourself, do as HIS Spirit guides you. I think you know this.

Everything created by God belongs to Him, to do with as He sees fit. What ( or whom ) was not created by Him ?

Debate is wholesome if the intention of those involved is to glorify God and edify His children. I personally can't box this discussion into a nice neat catch-phrase, because I think it is bigger than that. God's grace and mercy cannot be undone or outdone, for those who have been born of His Spirit, as it compels us, and reminds us, guides us. We gave our lives to HIM, and therefore they belong to HIM, and not us. That's what our rebirth is; Born of flesh, died to the flesh, reborn in the Spirit of God.

I don't know of a " sinner's prayer " other than I know I have sinned and without God's mercy and grace, I am lost and without Him. I rejoice in your faith in His ability to save you from yourself.
