  2. Part of the body can be in darkness too. If you hate your brother you're in darkness. Revelation warns the lukewarm, those who live in sin or lost their first love. You can talk about the church as if that's only the faithful church that will be kept, but don't leave the rest out. Some will not wake up, but others you can warn and pluck out of the fire. I had that rapture dream in 2000. In 2009 I was living in sin, full of hate. There are backsliders who need to come back and people who have to be warned to not backslide.
  3. He's in heaven, but I read that he had said that he still believed it, but he didn't talk about it anymore because others didnt. My faith is not based on just his dream. I see it in the Bible too and yes always be ready and pray that you're worthy but I pray that also for others who are not saved or who can't go to church. I'm more worried about them. What if it is true that Hosea He revives Israel in 2 days means 2000 years and what if it is true that this generation shall not pass means the one that saw WWI and WWII? If God would tell me the rapture is next week I would not mind screaming like the woman whose dog got attacked by a bear that everyone has to get saved now. If it takes another 10 years you can do it a bit more sophisticated and ask God to lead.
  4. But what about the rest? Even if I wouldn't make it who cares Ken Peters said he felt nothing when they cut his head off. It's of course more cosy if that doesnt have to happen, but there's also a church in Revelation that has to die. But what about the lost.. I once really thought that I had been raptured when I was praying for atheists and I thought: oh no! My sister! We always prayed with church: Lord stay away for a bit because so many people are not saved yet. But when you look at Israel and the world hmm well luckily in Germany they still pay with cash and the system isn't in place yet. But it's easy talking in the West. I can imagine that the persecuted church prays Lord come quickly.
  5. “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. 6. Oooh that could be. A guy from church once said years ago that, when he was evangelizing, a muslim told him that Ishmael was the chosen son from Abraham.

  8. Dutch translation says fill. Apparently it's old English for fill: https://creation.com/genesis-1-28-replenish-or-fill
  9. I heard that it meant her own husband, that she shouldn't play the boss over him. Control is always bad. A preacher from Bogota with a huge church, Cesar Castellanos said to his wife: Iron my suit! And she refused, so he complained to God that she had become rebellious and God said that he shouldn't be so controlling.
  10. Which law says that? I asked some Messianic Jews because I don't know all these O.T. laws. They said there is no such law. It's from the Talmud. A woman's voice is sexually provocative. Paul was telling these dominant men off here that it didnt only reach them and he also told women to prophesy. There were female apostles who worked alongside him. One had a church at home.
  11. They locked Torben up for that. The devil does not like it if we find out the truth. It's actually similar to: by His stripes we are healed. Believe that you have received it and you shall have it. A guy from another forum was addicted to porn for 38 years. He tried everything to get rid of it. Fasted, prayed. Eventually he gave up and then God said: With this My son I am well pleased. I knew all along that you could not do it, but you did not know it yet. Have you ever declared Romans 6? He had to proclaim that he died and rose with Christ and then he was instantly set free. knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. I was looking for a church a while back and I saw a preacher who was quite good, at least I heard he was, quite a big church, so I thought lets listen and if it's good I can maybe go there. He said: the reason most people in church don't have victory over sin is that they dont know what happened at the cross. Yes! And then he said the law was nailed to the cross and its all grace or whatever. I think I put it off. If he doesnt even know how can they know? He's the preacher.
  12. He didn't say be lazy but how can you pray for salvation of someone when doubt is preached, but I think that's hypercalvinism.
  13. I believe they were both wrong. I think I agree with Wesley, but I don't know everything he said. Calvin just did not listen when a guy warned him that he had to repent when he got people killed. He did not care. Arminius was a nicer guy. But the flipside of that is that like the Lutherans say you become a cosavior. If I'm lazy and don't pray for whoever to get saved he goes to hell and it's my fault and God is too weak to do something about it, although He wants him saved. That's Arminianism. But Calvinism is go lay in bed because God does it all Himself and if your family member is not saved that may be because God hates him. So don't bother to pray like Timothy says because God wants everyone saved and don't bother binding that demon who blinds him, because God gave us the authority to bind and unbind. And that text from somewhere around John 666. It's not given to them, so they don't get saved. Why was it not given to them? God is not a respector of persons. He kicks nobody out who comes to Him. But they did not come to ask for salvation. Why? Because they were evil. If that happened in Holland that someone walked around and multiplied bread and fishes to feed a few thousand and raised someone from the dead and healed loads of sick, the whole country would be saved. That's what He said about Sodom. They would have repented if they had seen these miracles.
  14. https://predestinationstation.wordpress.com/2016/01/01/romans-920-21-do-unbelieving-ethnic-israelites-have-a-right-to-criticise-gods-judgement-the-potter-and-the-clay/ The potter and clay analogy used by Paul appears in the Old Testament. It appears briefly in Isaiah 29:16 and 45:9, which Paul alludes to in verse 20b. Its most extensive appearance is in Jeremiah 18. We will see that its use there fits with the context we have seen from Romans. Here is Jeremiah 18:1-11: The potter was making a vessel, but the vessel ‘was spoiled in the potter’s hand’ (verse 4). The potter did not spoil it himself, but rather this was an action of the vessel. In response to this, the potter reworked it into another vessel.
  15. https://predestinationstation.wordpress.com/2015/11/11/romans-917-18-gods-right-to-harden-pharaoh/ The hardening of Pharaoh’s heart was therefore a legitimate response by God to Pharaoh’s earlier rejection of him. It is clear that Pharaoh already did not want to let God’s people leave, so God’s hardening of him was not making him do something he did not want to do; instead it was giving Pharaoh the strength to do what he already did want to do. https://predestinationstation.wordpress.com/2016/03/18/romans-922-23-why-does-god-put-up-with-unbelieving-ethnic-israelites-can-vessels-of-wrath-become-vessels-of-mercy/ In the structure of Romans 9:6-29 (which is one of the sections of Romans 9-11), verse 22 matches with verse 17: ‘For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth”’. Both verses refer to God showing/making known his power for the purpose of the proclamation of the good news about God. As we saw when considering verse 17, God was explaining to Pharaoh why he had not yet issued full and complete judgement against him by killing him, which was what Pharaoh deserved following his rejection of God. God explained that he had instead kept Pharaoh in his position of power and had hardened him because doing this caused a greater spread of the good news about God, which was achieved through the great miracles/plagues and final triumphant exodus of God’s people. This had a much greater impact than if God had simply killed Pharaoh immediately and then quietly led his people out of Egypt. For a similar reason, God did not immediately kill the unbelieving ethnic Israelites upon their rejection of Christ, even though this was their deserved full judgement. Instead, God kept them in place and hardened them (also an act of judgement). The result of this was that Gentiles were coming to trust in Christ following the spread of the gospel to the nations. If God had immediately killed all the ethnic Israelites who rejected Christ, the gospel would not have spread as quickly, as more believers would have stayed in Jerusalem rather than leaving to flee persecution. Furthermore, this would have removed the opportunity for any of these ethnic Israelites to repent at a later time and come to trust in Christ. One such person who did this was Paul himself! Others would also do this, as Paul explains in Romans 11 (see below).
  16. And He says that they're dumb. Luckily they're too dumb to get offended. “The wings of the ostrich wave proudly, But are her wings and pinions like the kindly stork’s? For she leaves her eggs on the ground, And warms them in the dust; She forgets that a foot may crush them, Or that a wild beast may break them. She treats her young harshly, as though they were not hers; Her labor is in vain, without concern, Because God deprived her of wisdom, And did not endow her with understanding. When she lifts herself on high, She scorns the horse and its rider. Job 39:13‭-‬18 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/job.39.13-18.NKJV
  17. We have not even recognized it. I had no idea. https://www.trouw.nl/nieuws/erken-ook-de-allergrootste-genocide-die-op-indianen~b0fd2930/ What have we to do with this? More than with the Armenian genocide. The Netherlands was a colonial power in North America. Under Governor Willem Kieft, our troops attacked random villages in the seventeenth century and murdered hundreds of Indians. Recently an Indian leader said: "We want recognition of the genocide and an apology. Not only from the US, but also from European countries. From Europe came the people who turned our world upside down."
  18. I'm Dutch so I don't mind offending everyone. The Dutch were a bunch of nasty colonizers in Indonesia and Africa, Surinam. I just said in the random thread that they call those silly monkeys with an absurd long nose and fat belly Dutchmen. That's what you get when you colonize the bunch. Say sorry, get revival, go to church together. They had a big revival in Indonesia. It wasn't only bad bozo dominant white Dutch men coming there to marry an obedient Indonesian slave. The missionaries came too. Yesterday I was offended because Torben Söndergaard said on Facebook that christians sleep and don't even notice that the next storm is coming. That offended me because he does always everything perfect, so I took it as an accusation that I'm lousy and lazy and do never anything good. So then I Googled that to see if someone could join me in my offense and anger and a preacher said that he had offended people from his church and he had said sorry and they don't always do it on purpose but LOL that was his intro and then he came with some absolute horrible rude stuff some supposed preachers had said who were not even sorry.
  19. They have or can take on a body. I always read it as that angels can't marry, but it may just mean that they don't do it because it's sin and they're not fallen angels and don't leave their domain. The angels that went to Abraham and Lot ate food. Jesus ate food before His incarnation when He went to Abraham. https://www.gotquestions.org/three-men-Genesis-18.html : one of the three “men” must have been God Almighty taking on the appearance of a man. We call such an appearance a “theophany.” When Jesus appears in His pre-incarnate body in the Old Testament, we call it a “Christophany.” Whether God’s appearance to Abraham in Mamre was a theophany or a Christophany, we don’t know. But it does seem clear from the context that one of the visitors was God Himself (Genesis 18:22) and the other two were the angels who later visited Sodom and spoke to Lot (Genesis 19:1). And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:6‭-‬7 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jud.1.6-7.NKJV
  20. There was a guy on a Dutch christian forum who was also evangelical/charismatic whatever and he was Jewish and pro Israel, so I said: listen to this preaching from Michael Brown. It's very good. Nooooooo!!! He only listened to preachers that were approved of by his pastor like here it comes Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland and some other names. Oh. Okay. Never mind.
  21. I still like Benny Hinn. I don't watch him anymore. On an atheist forum they came with a movie from Kathryn Kuhlman to show how crazy it was. I always thought she was awesome and Benny's big example and then all of a sudden I was like: eeeeww. Lets not watch that stuff anymore indeed. You do have a point. I still do like Benny Hinn though and just pray God gets him out of anything that's not good. My brother used to translate his books as a job and he was in a 'Benny Hinn church' in the Netherlands in the 90s. The pastor was from Switzerland and he had some contacts with Benny Hinn and would often just put on a video from Benny Hinn as the preaching. There were people I saw on internet once. One got a dream about Morris Cerullo. He saw him in a prison of money and they prayed for him. They were a prayer group. In that dream Cerullo said: Thanks guys! This could have meant my death. I saw that the nephew from Benny Hinn wanted nothing to do with all the money craziness anymore and spoke out against it. Henry Hinn was hilarious though. Saw him speak once. He called himself Henry Hein when he was not saved because he did not want to be associated with him. He smoked pot and Benny Hinn was preaching and then felt his pot in his jacket that he had borrowed. When he got saved Benny Hinn said: if he can get saved anyone can! And a woman said: That must be the smoker. Oh btw Benny Hinn had an awesome teaching about how to pray for the lost. It's the same as what Lee Thomas says in his book. We used that a lot and people got saved. He said for instance: bind the demons that blind them, so it gets easier for them to say yes.
  22. Lol word of unbelief. My ex went to a Word of Faith Bible school in Holland from an American couple. He did not agree with everything, but they had very good teaching on healing. Benny Hinn said it himself that God warned him and that it was bad, all that crazy sow money stuff. Sometimes you have to warn and protect someone you know. My brother watched that tattooed guy Todd Bentley. I just looked at the stuff he wrote himself. No gossip from others. He said himself that he went out of his body and spoke to the angel from Branham. I just showed my brother. We had no clue here. We were dumb and naive. That was dangerous. He also stopped watching him.
  23. I was thinking this too lately because of those texts that God is in darkness, but I don't know if it's true. Maybe the darkness is to protect us from seeing His Light, since you die if you see God and Adam was not immediately perfect.
  24. Wow. I was on 2 Dutch christian forums. The first one, you'd better not say God thinks it's sin because the gay guy plus the rest would then immediately all attack you, because it's totally normal and accept yourself the way you are. There was one guy who asked for help there. He was hetero and had a girlfriend he was going to marry, but he had watched gay porn and now he had these unclean thoughts. Accept yourself! You're gay! There's nothing wrong with it! So I didnt even say anything in that thread. Sent him a pm to assure him and some links to get prayer. It's just an unclean demon. Don't worry. And he was happy with it, but you could not even say thay there on the forum. The other forum, there were some gays who were reformed and never got help in church as teens when they cried out to God to change them and eventually they gave up. Most of them were respectful. I had a good talk with one. He said he had been able to stop smoking but not this and why was this so evil, but about all the other sins was said that God was graceful. They just don't get taught how to get rid of it, get no deliverance prayer, nothing. No preaching that you're a new creation. Really sad.
  25. No not the preacher, but the one who works for the government doing weddings. If you chose to work for an unchristian government that's what you get, just like when you work for an unchristian hospital, but that I find worse because it's murder and if 2 men marry for the govt or it's a sinful remarriage, that's equally bad, but it's their own business. You said: There is only One Who's approval matters. A state-administered "piece of paper" has no transcendent meaning or value. It has. Malachi says your legal wife. If a christian marries an atheist but not in church God still sees them as married. Nowadays they want an excuse to live in sin and say: we don't need a paper. But a paper doesn't necessarily make God approve. I bet Herod had a paper too.
