  1. Matthew 7: 1-2 nkjv Judge not, that you be not judged.2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. James 4: 12 nkjv There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? We are not authorized to judge Yes James 2: 14 nkjv What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works. James 1: 22 nkjv Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. You should question. We are taught discernment and we are given scripture to test individuals and spirits to ensure they are not false prophets. Matthew 7:15-17 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Test them. The Holy Spirit, with discernment and Scripture will expose them. However also use discernment towards yourself to ensure you do not commit sin by trying to point out another's sin. Matthew 7: 3-5 nkjv And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck from your eye, and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother. Once again we are not authorize to judge another and should be mindful of our own words and behaviors when addressing or dealing with one another.
  2. Proverbs 14:31 He who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker, But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him. If you believe this person is poor in health. Discernment please.
  3. I don't believe he makes us sin. We have feel will and our human nature makes us sin. However I now can see (from the replies in this post) that he does allow bad things to happen in accordance with his Ultimate Plan. So yes he knows David as he knew Job and Adam and Eve. Just as he knows the Devil but through their flaws and sins we were created. Through their experiences, mistakes and downfalls we have Scripture and The Gifts from Jesus'sacrifice. It is all part of his plan. We are still accountable for our sins because he teaches us better. With David he didn't punish him for the killings he committed as a warrior for God. He punished him for the sin committed against God's Word. Murder for lust. David's selfish reasoning. Thank you guys. Even clearer than before.
  4. This why I go God 1st, scripture after. If he directs us to other scripture which he deems inspired by him he will send us seeking.
  5. ? I would have taken it as shouting in praise.
  6. ❤ this and yes. God and others have brought me to scripture and explained how I am not alone in seeking God through questioning. Thank you!!!
  7. I am not disputing anyone's belief. I am not telling anyone to side or adapt to mine. I am stating "That for me. I rather put my faith in The Authority/God". "His Word when he speaks to me is held higher than any Book written by the hands of Man." "God and the rest of the Trinity are First for me and the Bible comes after." God will use it in the way he needs to in order to direct my steps. To teach me. It is a Tool in how he communicates with ME. If others want to put their faith and importance in The Written Word 1st then that is their choice. I am not saying the book is wrong or you shouldn't follow what it says. Each person's relationship with God is their own. He teaches you how he teaches you and he teaches me how he teaches me. The differences between us are very minute and unfortunately that cause more grief than good fruit. I live by Christ, as do you. How we go about doing his works may differ. Maybe we are taught differently for our indiviual roles.Maybe we are taught differently because of our different journeys in life. The important thing is the fruits of our works. How we get to the right answer is different but as long as we get the right answer, that is what matters. It's all about God, his will, his glory.
  8. Matthew 7:3-5King James Version (KJV) 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. I fear many of us do this without knowing. We are to learn discernment, but is this only discernment towards others? Or should we use discernment towards ourselves? If we can't look at our own faults, should we speak on another's? In doing so, do we fail Jesus in other ways? Galatians 6:1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.
  9. See if I did not ask the question, I could not have received this beautifully explained answered delivered by you. My question of fairness was basic as if asked by a child. Yet your response has given me a more in depth view into him. Answered beyond what I expected. He is great. Thank you!
  10. I agree with these. It is God inspired for the purposes listed and the outcome it is intended for. And I agree The Word of God is living and active and accomplishes all that is stated after. I think where people misunderstand my views or my beliefs is where My faith is in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God's Word is him. I believe in Him/Trinity. My faith is not in men, because they are flawed. Written word is God inspired yes, but it can be misrepresented, misinterpreted and misunderstood. It is written by man. So faith in this is just as it being a tool. It is of this world and only holds value when combined with The Trinity. Without the Spirit it is just man's interpretation of law. There have been many cases where it was used by the Adversary and did not serve God. I am not trying to convince anyone to view it my way. I share because this is a forum. My questioning of scripture is for understanding. Just as a student will question in class.
  11. I have been there on the first part, fleeing from God. I thank you for the last part that is deep.
  12. For that BEMA seat, I try to live by what is directed of me by God now. Make it ME, so that when I am on that seat I have to only answer for my past before knowing him and hopefully only a few mistakes while knowing him. The mistakes while getting to know him, those might be a doosie. Now I can understand the last part of David's story. Even though forgiven still accountable. Marilyn C gave me some good insight and understanding also. As well as many others. Thank you.
  13. Thank you! I agreed with this 100. I have even brought my anger to him along with the shame after and he has shown me in scripture where I wasn't the first and that he understands. He is definitely patient with me and I am definitely handful, as well as hard headed but he still works with me. I am truly Grateful. Thank you agian.
  14. Oh not to question his authority, but to question him to get to know him. Along of the lines of: God what is fair? What is right? Why do good people suffer? Things like that. Questions to get to understand and know him better. Thank you!
  15. What I have said: Is I believe the Bible is God inspired, but it is written by Man. Man is flawed and can misinterpret or misunderstand what was intended. This was proven in the OT and spoken of in the NT. All the scriptures about false prophecy. I have also said the Bible is a necessary TOOL. Used by The Holy Trinity to explain who, God is, what he wants and how we should conduct ourselves. See problem is some people find Christ in their journeys and then want to shun or outcast others in their journey. Not everyone learns everything at the same time. My questions are real as my growth in Jesus and God. You all can FEEL how you want and believe of me as you want. I follow the Trinity and they guide me in scripture and in my life. For individuals who are quick to call some out as to causing controversy and confusion. You guys are the ones that are quick to SAY these words and accuse. I ask questions, to get insight and views that may differ from mine so I can correct myself or I receive conformation from others from the information which is shared. I believe all information and experiences can be easily used by God to deliver messages. We are all vessels. We are all God's to direct, guide and use. I listen to Him and Man's opinion is nothing to me. As for my name I have explained it. I can again. I know my Soul is flawed, because I am man, meaning I am prone to sin and failure. But even with all this, even when I feel I fail and run and hide. God sees something in me and he keeps me with him. He never let's me go. So where you may judge me for your beliefs, He knows my Heart and he chooses to keep me with him. Through persecution and judgement. God keeps me. Even if I may feel lost or stumble in my journey. He reminds me he is with me and I am not so lost. No matter what I or OTHERS may think. I hope this is the last of this. I came to worthy to fellowship, sorry if my questions shakes or stirs your faith. That is not my intention. I am here to share and learn as what I thought others are here for. I have not judged nor call anyone wrong for their belief. That is not my job. I leave that to The Trinity. Thank you! And sorry Churchmouse my smile was for neighbor because neighbor smiled. There was no ill will from my part.
  16. The term "Deutero-Pauline" refers to New Testament letters that are included in the Pauline corpus but are now viewed by most critical scholars as products, not of the apostle Paul, but of Paul's followers or perhaps of a Pauline school. The letters thus designated are 2 Thessalonians, Colossians, Ephesians, and the Pastoral Epistles—1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. In previous volumes they are treated under individual headings (q.v.), but in this article they are dealt with as a group. For 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus, however, see pastoral epistles. friendlyvoiceny.com | Sponsored Trains-Puzzles-Cars-Robot | friendlyvoiceny.com Toy Sale: Puzzle Vehicles, RC Cars, Skatey Dolls, Funny Train, Robots In the New Testament, 2 Thessalonians, Colossians, and Ephesians purport to be from the hand of Paul (2 Thes 1:1: 2:17; Col 1:1; 4:18; Eph 1:1), and the tradition has regarded them as authentic Pauline writings (e.g., Polycarp, Justin, Marcion, Irenaeus, Muratorian Canon, Hippolytus of Rome, and Tertullian). Modern scholars have challenged the authenticity of these letters chiefly for the following reasons: the letters show differences in style, vocabulary, and theology from the undisputed Pauline letters, and they address issues and situations that do not correspond to those of Paul's lifetime, but seem to reflect a later period. Some scholars have seen in the Deutero-Pauline letters, especially in Colossians and Ephesians, evidence for a Pauline school, perhaps centered in Ephesus, that preserved, developed, and applied the Pauline teachings. Timothy 1 and 2 and Titus are said to be not writings of Paul at all but of his followers. This is one source I have come upon.
  17. Would I be able to borrow this information because this topic seems to be popping up in a number of threads?
  18. Oh I know this. I see it everyday in my life.
  19. You have made it clear you dispute my beliefs. So further questioning is pointless and will only led to more disarray. Let it be where it is.
  20. Only God can tell me his Word. Not Man. Nor can Man determine my relationship with God. As stated before the information is what has been debated by the very authorities that approved the books in the bible. This is not of my doing. I was simply sharing the information. Addressing the OP that is all. No confusion.
  21. I can say the same to you. I am not disputing your beliefs. It is not my place to tell anyone how to have their relationship with God. I was just sharing info I have come across and my way of my relationship with God.
  22. Thank you I have been researching some of these, due to the misuse by some to only take bits and pieces. I am going to research the others. I appreciate the information and assistance in my growth.
  23. The parts of the Pauline Letters that are in dispute were not written by Paul. Just an example to think on. If the disciples had trouble understanding Jesus' teachings and parables, and needed more of a direct explanation from Jesus himself. Why would someone be so accepting of information given to a follower of a disciple without comparing it or testing it against the direct teachings of Christ. Some of it don't even line up with Paul's other teachings. My Spirit tells me go with Jesus and Paul's teachings of Jesus. Not a third party where things may be misconstrued. Isn't this why Jesus gave us the grace to go to God individually. Past scripture, Old Testament has taught us Man can misrepresent scripture but Jesus, The Holy Spirit and God are the Word.
