Yes I know what you are saying. I have to pray every day. It can be a real catch 22. I used to have a quick temper but to day I stay purity mellow. Have you ever since you believed struggled with sincere forginess when one who wrongs you and knows it yet never asks to be forgiven. or apologize.. I,am no novice to my faith yet even after thirty five years letting go is hard. They go on acting as if nothing ever happened. I know this is a common occurrence but would like to hear some answers from the matured believers. I know Forgiveness is a capital commandment still it bothers me today when there mind is a blank.

Porn is highly addictive and distructive to ones soul. Don't put it to the test. As you would run from a rattle snake when you see it. don't hang around to see what it does. Tv has become more and more lude so if Im watching a program and see questionable behavior I don't stare at it but quickly turn the station or even a DVD. I have had porn addiction for much of my Life. The Lord has now set me free. The addiction is very powerful and I don't dare allow myself to look at it for second. Take antidepressants if you have to. As Jesus said if your right eye cause you to sin, pluck it out. Better to receive the Lord with one eye then to be cast in hell with two.

I understand the parable of the talents speaks to the individual. We do what we are able to the best of our ability. as Paul stated we strive for the mark of the high calling of Christ. He spoke of a race that is not about coming in first to win but we run to endure to the end. If one stumbles and needs help we carry him if we have to. It is the spirit that drives us on, but one who sits down and refuses to strive any more will die where he is

I am awed by the ten year old superstar talent. Still we need to pray for the young opera singer caught now in the worlds trap of fame and fortune. The world demands to hear her sing. To much demand and pressure is not a good thing. Its all the glitter of having everything when we are not mature enough to see our need for Christ. Popularity is a killer and so many have gone down that path.

Your are correct. Show thyself as one who needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth . Everyone one who teaches and preaches should know and understand what they minister. if they are shepherds of the sheep then they are accountable. yes? Aman wants to be a preacher and wants start church of a peculiar denomination goes to the seminary of that denomination where he is taught their doctrines. learned scholars of theology that should know better. Today we hire teachers with itching ears. So they are without excuse.

Im not talking about women. The issue is conflicting scripture to build a doctrine. That is the heresie.

Actually I was talking about a doctrine in particular that is not in full agreement with scripture as being heresy. Reason is, all scripture must be in agreement otherwise it takes advantage of less mature believers. We see this in Rome, but this false doctrine is in the protestant group. That is not meaning all protestant churches. How ever it grew out of the Reformation by misinterpretation of scripture. We are believers as previously stated believing that all scripture agrees or the doctrine is not a true doctrine. This is dividing the church which we were warned against. This is not the only heretical invented doctrine among denominations.

To some up the point most believers see the Bible as God,s word and being inherent. In a world or society that lives by the flesh is not to be trusted when it comes to God. "There is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end there of is death". (2nd death) Many may say they believe in God but if there life does not reflect that faith his words are empty. but this sad to say is the world I say these things because as believers we trust God rather than men. Can scripture be manipulated. Yes! We see the word of God is truth and is the only way one can be led by truth. Therefore all scripture must coincide in agreement from beginning to end. I f one formulate a doctrine seemingly scriptural but there are other scripture that conflicts with it is no doctrine. You cannot divide scripture and still have truth. one has to be heresie.

Is there such a place. The gospel is simple. It is man who ties nots in the rope. This is why we have so many denomes with their own beliefs ideals and doctrines so they can attract and keep congregations and members in their pews. one is excepting gay marriage partners as members. Still there are more appeasements. I believe most here would call this heresies. Like building doctrines of men.

Would say that before a doctrine can be a true doctrine it needs to be in line with all new Testament scripture or you would not be able to build a doctrine on base on conflicting scripture. The word cannot be divided. Would you say that is true?

Then all scripture is true and in agreement as the word of God when it comes to doctrine. Then because scripture cannot be a house divided there cant be two doctrines in disagreement with one another except one be false which would be heresie

Can the word of God be in disagreement with itself such as in verses that say two different things disagreeing with one another. as in complete opposite meaning ?

Im just getting back because I live in Florida where we all are watching the storm. Is there a way we could define the problem. There is always disagreements. Not sure what is meant by heresy hunters. It is important to have those who can recognize the true from the false. Read Galations.I don't thing running away is the answer. Young believers can easily mislead. There is nothing God can't see.

I sense confusion and this is not a good thing. His own will be called out by name and they know the voice of the master and will not follow another John 10. This is one subject that has grieved me. Can one say I am a Christian and have people wonder how many beliefs there are under that umbrella word. When the believers were first called Christian at Antioch it meant followers of Christ. As long as the apostles lived they kept after those who would bring in confusion, but when they were gone Confusion came. Bishops became more exalted and when Constantine made the church a ruling religious order the church fell into full blown apostasy. In the century 15 corruption caused rebellion and the church splintered into many different denominations. Many beliefs and doctrines were added making the church a smorgasbord In short Christianity has become confusion. When the early church which was not given a name but was finally called Christion it was not anything like we see today.

Their is no 7 yr tribulation because the church has been in tribulation as Jesus said there would be since the church began until this very day. Jesus confirms Daniel that a 7yr peace will be made but the peace will be broken in the last 3 1/2 years called great tribulation as Jesus said in Matt 24. This is of course be the time of the Antichrist rule and will try to destroy all believers in Christ . This is also confirmed in Daniel 7:25. There is nowhere in scripture that the church escape the period of the antichrist. Read also Rev 15 where the saints suffered the 3 1/2 yr "Great Tribulation"! They are being celibrated but notice no mention of special saints that did not have to suffer. Hmmm strange

What good is knowing these percetages. I was In the kingdom of God their is only one truth one faith one Savior of all. I see no purpose with any of this. Their are only two people on the earth. Those who believe in Christ and those who choose not. I still don't know anything about Mainline Protestants and evangelical Protestants in the day of judgement. There is no Catholic Protestant in God kingdom or any of the other poor souls. Forget my post before. I was just goofing around

What is the difference between mainline and evangelical. Knowing something about church history. I would cut the % pie differently. First the word Christian is a common word for those who believe in Christ but holds little wait. 4o% 0f that believes anyone can be a Christian and add anything belief under the sun to it. If you don't believe that just ask a few. The other 40% are none believers, Scientists atheist, and those who don't believe anything. Now giving 20 %g but its probably less than that are those who truly Love Christ and live like he is on His way. They are the true bride who will love not their life unto the death. Of course I'm not a senses taker.

What they need to see is people that are real not putting up a front Like whitewashed tombs. Its not so much how they see the church as a whole but how they see you. Jesus said no man can come to the Son except the Father draw him. Christianity is an umbrella word for every kind of belief and idealism. Show business with costumes and tall hats. The tree with many branches has fallen and the ax is laid to the root. Still there are some branches with a little life. Kindle the fire.

When it comes to religion being a dirty word im not sure that's the way to put it. The word religion is like there are many religions in the world but they are not of Christ. The more the church of Jesus compromises with the world the more it becomes lifeless. Life less is carnal religion which put emphases ceremonial things outward appearances. Paul said to be carnally minded is death. Faith in Christ is who we are not what we do. Christianity has become just another religion in the world.
