  1. Thank you for the provoking thought, Ed. I got a couple of questions. If it was any other number, would we be any the wiser or less wise? And, is there anything that Gematria says about the number 666? (I'm not familiar with Gematria.) Bless God Paul
  2. Bless you, other one. But that is not the way to hallow His holy day. The first sabbath for most people, is when they first give their life over to Jesus. It is like a mini sabbath. But because it was a sincere offering, a real sacrifice, and you offered up your spirit broken, Jesus comes. (Casts out a couple of your bigger devils, and gives a meal of meat and wine.) That is why we hallow the sabbath day, because it is the day the Lord comes and sanctifies us. As we grow, so aught our sabbaths. Thank You Jesus and Thank You for Your holy day Paul And hallow My sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. Ezekiel 20:20
  3. Thank you. In the Christian Bible we find the pure religion. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27
  4. One day, Satan was walking to and fro in Heaven boasting how he is better than Jesus at everything, and the Father heard enough it and decided to put a stop to it. OK boys, He said, I will make a competition. Let's see who can make the best program in one hour, and He sat them both before computers. (At least I will have one hour of silence, was the Father's thought.) And it was quiet as both Satan and Jesus were working furiously on their programs. But, on the 59th minute, the power went off. Just for one second. Oh no!, cried Satan, and he howled. Oh how he howled. Then the Father appeared and asked, So how'd you go? Satan was a blubbering mess. The power went off, it isn't fair, and he complained on and on quite a while. Father patiently heard Him out, and then turned to Jesus. Jesus just smiled and pressed a key on his keyboard. His computer exploded into glorious heavenly scenes with beautiful colour and angelic music. Satan was shocked. What? How'd he do that? The Father just looked at him and said, Jesus saves.
  5. Thank you, Cobalt. My longest was 17 days, but 3 days is sufficient. Don't try more than 3 days until you have done a few. (I confess, I was an idiot and tried the 40 days for my first one. I nearly died on the first day.) Oh, the other thing. Don't expect a result every time, especially in the beginning. Don't beat yourself up if nothing happened, but try again in a week or two, after having immersed yourself in the scripture again. We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as He shall command us. Exodus 8:27 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Hosea 6:1-2 Bless Jesus Paul
  6. Verily My sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that does sanctify you. Exodus 31:13 Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto Me in the year. Exodus 23:14
  7. Thank you Zorg. You haven't made it easy. Your question is about your observation, and you don't say too much about your observation. You are counting graves? And you threw a sly ball first. What has you soul sleep pattern to do with all this? That's not the same as rising up out of our graves. I don't think. When you say graves, Isaiah is saying sheol, death, or the pit. There is only heaven and hell on earth. So all those expressions are synonyms of hell. There is one grave. Or I should say, one grave for each of us. The other thing to do, is look up the scriptures elsewhere that speak about this. That usually helps to clarify. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they the have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:28-29 I don't know if I'm reading your question right, or if have addressed it. But you will let me know. Praising the Lord helps keep us awake Paul And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Matthew 27:52-53
  8. It is serious. Thank you for this offering. It is not discussed enough. Jesus said be perfect, but I said how. Jesus also said take no thought for your life (or don't worry). And thoughts are where evil starts. The thoughts in our heart. Stopping thinking is hard. How long can I do it for. I tried. I learned tricks and devices, like holding your breath can stop your thoughts for a few seconds. Focusing my attention on what I was seeing and hearing, to deprive the thoughts of attention, is another method. But you are right. About 5 seconds is the barrier. Even with my tricks. I also wondered, where we take thoughts from. I always thought these were my thoughts. Aren't they. But Lord says we are taking them. So who is doing the thinking. Me? So who am I thinking to. Me? What's the point of that? Isn't that a sign of madness? I watched my thoughts, and sure enough, they do come from outside. Not only that, they are trains. One thought follows another and they are linked together like carriages. They are streams of thoughts. You think of one thing, and that is followed by a sequence of other thoughts, that always seem to come with that thought. So I stood on the platform. Just watched the trains going by. Ah. we can't stop the thoughts, but we don't have to get onboard with them when they come. That was a good start. A very good start, because now I was also like an independent observer of my thoughts. I was no longer getting swept along by them, or with them, or however it works. So I stayed on the platform watching the trains. I was horrified. These were the thoughts I was taking all the time, but now that I was actually examining them objectively, well, I am to embarrassed to describe them. Sinful, and useless, most of them. A lot of self degrading ones, and degrading the people I loved to hate. Constant repetitions of thoughts about things that bugged me, and things that stressed me. Which doesn't help the stress. Becoming so aware of my thoughts put me to task to do something about them. Observing them, and being consciously aware of them at all times was my start. Learning to perish them was another thing. It isn't too hard to perish a thought. The thing is to be aware of it when it is present. We are mostly too subjectively involved with a thought to realize when we are thinking it. I was getting somewhere though. I'm sure I managed 10 to 15 seconds thought free on the odd occasion. But it was in my prayer, that this whole exercise became most important. I realized, my eye isn't single focused on Jesus when thoughts come. Thoughts divide our attention. Worse that that, some thoughts were downright wicked, and that was defiling my prayer. And when I became aware one of these wicked thoughts came to me in my prayer I groaned in my spirit and loudly thought "Help me, Lord!" Boof. That put my thoughts away from me instantly. Wow. That was easy. So I began to use that. Every time I noticed I was back on thinking, I cried in my heart, Help me Lord. It works every time. It works like a displacement thought. While deliberately thinking "Help me Lord" I couldn't at the same time be having another thought. I was extending the time to 20 and 30 seconds now. Then magic began to happen. The Spirit start coming down on me. I can't really time it, because you can't pray and watch a stop watch at the same time, but I estimate it is from the 30 to 45 seconds mark, if I can be perfect for that long, the window of heaven opens. But then, because that happens, I think "wow". And that one word thought is enough to divide my attention again, and that closes the window. And I couldn't cry Help me Lord for that, so I made me a new thought to say, "Thank You Lord". When the rain come, and my mind is awed, I cried in my heart, "Thank You Lord!" And that prevented exclamatory thoughts. These are very powerful tools I am giving you. If you are serious about prayer, try them. It wasn't too long and I was making tabernacles that last about 30 minutes or so. And I had a third thought, because thanking Jesus was simply not enough for everything He was doing for me, so I added "Praise You Lord" to my repertoire of thoughts allowed. Whenever I pray now, I allow only these three thoughts. Help me Lord Thank You Lord Praise You Lord. Until the Lord comes. Then I think on the things I am praying Him for. Like the question I had about the passage of His words I read this morning, or what I should say to a brethren at the forum who has an issue. That kind of thing. Jesus speaks directly to my thoughts. Mostly one or two word answers, which lead me to the answer I seek. I want to give you some encouragement now. Because I remember what it was like for me when I first read St Paul saying to bring EVERY thought captive to the obedience of Christ. That simply brought on a flood of thoughts for me. And not pleasant ones. And hugely skeptical ones. It seemed such an impossibility that I was offended that St Paul said it. "Might just as well ask me to jump over the moon", is one example of the thoughts in the flood that beseiged my mind. "If St Paul was here I'd bop him one on the nose for that", was another. "EVERY thought!?" "EVERY????? thought" My thoughts were tripping over themselves at this. But I found, keep trying, and persist with some of the things I said here, (and you might even discover some of your own devices to trick your mind) and you will be surprised. It is difficult at first, but if you are genuinely trying, Jesus comes to help, and He is the Lord of the hosts of thoughts too. No thought can come to us unless Jesus lets it. In conclusion, I don't now never take an ungodly thought, but if one does come, Jesus distracts me off it somehow. And I don't have to take a single thought for my life. A freedom that was as unimaginable to me, as having my every thought captive to Jesus was. A freedom so great as to be indescribable. And most of my daily thoughts are replaced also, with Jesus sayings. Praising and blessing thoughts Paul Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts the self against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life. Matthew 6:24-25
  9. Thank you. The Lord never commanded us to kill animals. Jesus never wanted anybody to needlessly kill animals. He isn't that kind of God, is He. He wants us to bring Him bullocks. You know? just like we drag our bull to this forum, to present it before men. We really should present our bull before Jesus first, to see if He approves it, before we go around presenting it to our fellow priests in Christ. Just in case we are not saying something right. Bless Jesus Paul Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be My people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. Jeremiah 7:21-23 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Psalm 51:17
  10. Thank you. Three times in a year we are to appear before the Lord. I take it that Jesus means at least 3 times. These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. Leviticus 23:4 Praise Jesus Paul
  11. No response. OK. There are heaps more scriptures that show us what repentance is. This one is most descriptive for me. And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. Deuteronomy 30:1-3 Not only does that passage tell us what repentance is, but also when we will do it, and that the Lord comes when we do it. I just think that is awesome, and it happened for me just like God says. Here is another excellent description of repentance. My son, if thou wilt receive My words, and hide My commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou cry after knowledge, and lift up thy voice for understanding; If thou seek Her as silver, and search for Her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom: out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of His saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. Proverbs 2:1-9 The beauty of these descriptions, for me, not only do they tell us what repentance is, but they also give us an idea of the outcome we should expect from repentance. Glory to Jesus Paul
  12. So many things, so I shall try to list them. the Sabbaths are the feasts of the Lord (you want a feed don't you?) we shall proclaim them in their seasons (the sabbath isn't a day of the week.) we shall go three days, and sacrifice as the Lord commands us (the sabbath is three days.) it is an holy convocation (the time to make our eye single for the Lord.) we shall afflict our soul in that day (not do our will, nor do our pleasure, nor speak our words.) we shall offer our self up to God a suckling ram (not once, but twice or more times in a single sabbath.) we shall make an offering made by fire (groan in the spirit.) we shall make it holy (reverence and hallow His holy day always.) we shall make a sanctuary for the Lord (so He can live in us.) Jerusalem is in the kingdom of God, which is within (and we must worship Him at Jerusalem.) Misconceptions abound, for all the carnal interpretations of God's words, but the things I listed here I got from the Lord's mouth, in His sabbaths. And I can show the you the scriptures if you need. Just ask. He that asks receives. Paul Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Hosea 6:1-2
  13. Excellent question. Thank you, Angels. I believe the Lord expects us to sort out our own daily problems. He doesn't accept weeping and wailing upon His altar. And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that He regards not the offering any more, or receives it with good will at your hand Malachi 2:13 And in the sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Matthew 5:23-24 If we are trying to come to God, and we are swirling inside with our daily problems, we won't be able to make that connection with God. Jesus is saying there, first sort out your disturbances and then pray to God. On the other hand, if and when we make clean offerings to God, then we can commune with Him on His commandments. And He helps with any matter that is too hard for us. Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto Me, and I will hear it. Deuteronomy 1:17 I do understand that leaves off guidance in daily life. The Bible guides us how to pray, and how to come to God, but I still vacillated in making decisions in my daily life. Where is the guidance to know this or that in the moment? I prayed to know, and Jesus told me, give whatsoever men ask. Usually we do it if we can anyway, often begrudgingly, but sometime we don't. And some people never do. Or have certain things they won't do. But when I let it be my guidance, for Jesus' sake, I found to my own amazement, I was able to give every thing that was asked of me. And I can't tell you how good life is, when everyone is well pleased with you. I get blessed by men and by God daily, because I always say yes, whenever anyone asks for anything. So that is an excellent daily guidance for me. Another is, as you do to the least. If you are at a gathering of people, notice who is the least, and there is what to do. Rather than join in the melee with everyone, take a conscious overview of who is there and what is happening, and see if you can pick who is the least. Like a child that is screaming and tugging on mum's skirt, which is only making her mum talk louder, in the conversation she is having with another lady. And everyone in the room is talking louder to be heard too, but because I notice, and ask the child what she wants. I want a drink. Too easy, I get the child a drink and she goes off to play with the other children. Nobody else in the room noticed, but I saw the whole room was calmer for my little action. The adults didn't have to talk over a screaming child. Next someone is a having an emotional breakdown, and has gone outside crying. So I follow them out and offer consolation, hear the problem, pick them up again. And so on. You will find, when you are busy keeping Jesus' commandments, there isn't any time left for your own personal problems. There are too many other, bigger, problems out there that need you. 14. And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power... Leviticus 26:18-19
  15. Absolutely. Or, when things are going well for us, we don't think to repent. We don't feel the need to. This is my personal testimony. My wife left me, took our child. And she got the house, which my life savings went into. I was heart broken, and my life dream was shattered. At first I thought, Beauty, I'm free. I can live without her. But over the next few years I became extremely bitter and misogynist. I convinced myself I was too advanced in age, and lost my chance to have a family and home. I became completely taken over with depression, and envy, anger, and frustration, but, I never gave in to the temptation to do anything nasty. I was in hell, and I knew it. So I decided to take another look at Jesus. It took me a while, but I eventually got to Deuteronomy 28, and there, saw my life writ out before me. That's when I began to groan. And not just for my tribulation, because I knew, my troubles were nothing compared to many others. So I prayed for all those refugees running from bombing and snipers. And for all those people who lost homes and loved ones in disasters. And for all the people who are sick and starving and in poverty. Even for all the well off people, each in their own hell through relationship or financial or health problems. So much suffering and pain. The world is full of tribulation, and it seems that none can escape it. Why? God!? I prayed. Deuteronomy 28 also tells us why, of course, but it isn't easy to see God's answer at first. From the bottom you cannot tell what from the top looks like. But, by the simple act of turning to Jesus for help, and sacrificing some time and effort to honestly look into His word, turned my whole life around for me. I still don't have property or a wife, but I feel I have found something so much greater. (I found out how to come out of the great tribulation. ) And I prayed Jesus to help me forgive my ex wife, and immediately my ex and I were, and still are today years later, on friendly talking terms. Paul Edited to fix typo
  16. "On the tenth day of the seventh month..." I never heard it explained yet, the seventh month into what? I see that all men presume it means the seventh month into the year, but since we have this commandment from God... Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. Leviticus 19:26 ... so we know for sure it isn't about observing a date yearly, because that is against God's law. I did discover what it is the seventh month of, but I'm wondering if anyone else was shown this, and if yous are even interested. Most prefer to just simply keep observing a day of the year, I found I don't let Paul take a single thought for his life. Paul After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. Hosea 6:2
  17. I think the simplest way to show what repentence is, is to take Jesus's saying on repentance, and then check back to how it said it in the law. In the New Testament, Jesus announced it like this. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matt 4:17) But in the law, Jesus said it like this. Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it; (Deut 11:8) This of course confirms all the other scriptures which say we have to keep all the commandments, and to keep the Lord's saying, and to do the whole of the law, if we are to remain in the kingdom of God. Proverbs chapter one is probably the best word on repentance. Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My spirit unto you, I will make known My words unto you. Proverbs 1:23 Praise the Lord Paul
  18. Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto Me, and I will hear it. Deuteronomy 1:17 I see that you are qualifying what you meant there, and you are more referring to discerning what is judgment, still, I saw a contradiction to a saying of God. And it was a chance to put this verse from Deuteronomy, which is one of my favourites, for telling me I can take my issues to God and He will hear. God's love Paul
  19. That is an excellent set of commandments, Jeff. Thank you. Leviticus chapter two contains God's commandments, for how to make our witness, at least, to our fellow priests, which I take you all to be, and is the guide I use. And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon: And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. Leviticus 2:1-3 Seeing your offering has inspired me to see if I can make a set of [additional] commandments for online witnessing from that chapter. 1. Our offering shall be of fine flour. The fine flour is God's words. God's word should be what we are teaching. v2.1 2. We shall pour oil upon it. Give our understanding which we received from Jesus. v2.1 3. We shall put frankincense thereon. Deliver it with frank honesty. v2.1 4. And we shall bring it to the forum, and place it before the priests of God, our fellows in Christ. v2.2 5. It should be made with the fire of our incense. We post about what incenses us. v2.3 6. It should be pleasing to God. v2.3 7. Our offering should contain wafers or cakes of the unleavened bread. Mingled with the scriptures will be our explanations. v2.4 & 5 8. We shall part it into pieces, the individual points, and be mindful that we are making a meat offering unto God, and for our fellowmen. v2.6 9. We may not use any leaven, or honey, in our meat offerings. Don't fluff up God's words or sugar coat it. v2.11 10. All offerings must be offered unto the Lord first. This to make sure He approves it, before we go offering it to men. v2.12 11. No offering shall leave out a mention to keep all the commandments. v2.13 12. If we are a newbie, our offering shall be made for the purpose of understanding those of God's word which still burns our ears. v2.14 13. We shall burn what we learned about God's words from making the offering, and from the replies received, into our memory. v2.16 What struck me about the way God says it, is that we are making our offerings to Him, (that we might understand Him?), while we are bringing them to our fellow priests. So while I offer my understandings, as they are at present, I allow that a fellow priest unto God, or brother in Christ, might come and take my bull by the horns, and I learn something from them. In other words, I welcome your questions or contentions. And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt. Leviticus 2:13 Keep all the commandments, because the kingdom of heaven is at hand Paul
  20. Thank you, Brakelite. Thank you for offering that up. Mind if I take your bullock and part it? Yes. As if God and His Son weren't able to atone back then. The law came by Moses, in which atonement for sin is fully explained. Much time and effort is sacrificed by many in bringing their bullocks before men. Not many bring their bull to God anymore. So really, how do they even know He approves what they are putting before their fellowmen? If you take a look inside a camp in Israel (like a forum, where the children of God meet), you can watch them killing each others offerings, and the blood being dashed about every where. They will even tell you, what you offered up was bull. (I try to part your bullock after the manner instructed in Leviticus). On the tenth day of the seventh month is the day of atonement. This is the complete forgiving of sins that many believe is not in the Old Testament. Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. Leviticus 23:27-28 This day occurs in the seventh month in, of doing the feast of weeks. (At least, it did for me.) When I pray, I pray God get the goats out and off of me in Jesus' name. I'm done with kidding around. I want all my incense to be frank. I see it as God commanding us to wave offerings before the Lord Jesus (our Priest). Abraham saw His day, and was glad. (John 8:56) There were some in the crowd before Jesus who would get to see His day before they died. (Matt 16:28; Mar 9:1; Luk 9:27) You love judgment, don't you? People believe Jesus is their sacrificial Lamb (not a goat) but I believe He is God's lamb. He is the Lamb of God, and we also have to offer our selves to God as suckling rams, as He commanded. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1 Peter 2:2-3 Anyhow, if you see any bull in my bullock, I don't mind if you kill it. It would be a blessing Praise Jesus and have a good day Paul Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering. Leviticus 2:6
  21. If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put His name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusts after. Deuteronomy 12:21 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. Exodus 12:11 If we don't interpret the law carnally, as in having to kill actual livestock, then we see that God is commanding us to bring from the herd and flock we already have from Him. And our New Testament tells us the same. Some NT verses which speak of when the Lord comes (passes over). Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their Lord, when He will return from the wedding; that when He comes and knocks, they may open unto Him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that He shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:35-37 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2 If the Lord's Spirit passes over and I get a feed, then I call it a successful sabbath. Paul Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My spirit unto you, I will make known My words unto you. Proverbs 1:23
  22. I am having the same trouble as Watchman. Can't reply on my thread. So my apologies for responding in a new thread. I wanted to thank those that responded, and go a bit deeper, because my question still isn't answered. Yown said "We no longer have an association with the Levite." This was good, thank you, Yown, because it helped me to understand what "no part or inheritance with" means in a more modern everyday language term. But then you followed with "i.e. the Levitical system having a better High Priest after the order Of Melchizedek." Some have said this to me already, and this only brings several questions to my mind. But the main question, relating to verses in question, which are saying, Israel (God's children) already had no association with the Levite within back in Moses' day. So there was hardly a need for God's children to forsake their association. In fact, isn't God warning them (us) not to disassociate our self from the Levite within? ~~` Simplejeff offered, "Have to go by all Scripture, and only by Scripture for this, since man's ways are wrong, and are not God's Ways." Thank you, Jeff. I only agree. But the scripture seems plain to me. It's what people say that makes me question it. Am I interpreting it wrong? Is God saying to never forsake the Levite, or not? Then you offered Number 25:13 " KJ21 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.’” " Thank you. There are numerous indications in the scripture that God's covenant is with Levi. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that My covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 2:4 ~~` Willa offered up "The Levites were the priests in Israel." Israel, to my knowledge, or in my Bible, is God's people. That would include the Christians, would it not? "They were not among the sons of Joseph whom God renamed Israel, so they had no land given to them as an inheritance in the Promised Land." I think you mean Jacob. It was Jacob who was renamed Israel. Joseph was one of Jacob's sons. You know, Jesus also promised us the kingdom, if we repent. "Tithes were given to them and to the temple to feed them and maintain the tabernacle and temple." Do you know if there is a Levite withing the gates of Worthy? I would go to offer my tithes, if this is what the Lord commands. "This was the Hebrew faith and doesn't refer to Christianity. " I speak only of things found in the Christian's holy Bible. "It is still a principal that we should share of our increase and not neglect our pastors. They have bills to pay, too." I am aware of this. But I have no association with them. On the one hand they want the tithes, on the other hand they say they are not the Levites. ~~` Do you know why our Lord says to never forsake the Levite within? Paul
  23. In the Bible our Lord tells us to never forsake the Levite for as long as we live, and that He has no part nor inheritance with us. Who is the Levite within our gates? What does it mean, we have no part nor inheritance with Him? Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth. Deuteronomy 12:19 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake Him; for He hath no part nor inheritance with thee. Deuteronomy 14:27
