Your life isn't over yet is it. Pray for God to find you someone you can love.

I try, but I noticed a week ago, someone was trying to talk to me in a coffee shop, but I brushed him off as quick as I could. About a half hour ago I felt really bad about it. So I'll try not to do that again.

My understanding of this verse has always been, that if we try to keep our life without serving God in love, we lose it. Isn't this the way to repentance. Matthew chapter 21 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Luke chapter 3 7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” 10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. 11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” 12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?” 13 “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them. 14 Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay.”

My experience was my father taught me to love money as a kid, I did up until I was 35 about, when I gave just about everything away, I was going to invest in real estate, but after studying the bible for 14 years it just seemed to be the thing to do, Jesus said you'd either love God or love money, and you could only have one master. Now I'm happy I found God, and even if I became the richest man in the world, it wouldn't be as good as what I have now.

Isaiah chapter 58 verse 6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? I think this sums up your fasting. It's better to help someone than to fast, even if your just talking to someone who's lonely or helping someone in need, any kind of help that's the way I take that verse.

Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I don't understand how we can do anything about spiritual forces of evil, or do we just accept it.
