I dont understand the trinity
Waggles replied to F_Ivan's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
I will just have to wait until I rise up to be with my God and Saviour in the air then I will know much much more about all of this ... 1Corin 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 1John 3:2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. Well worth the wait (and the trials and tribulations). -
The Call of Jeremiah Jeremiah 1:4 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Psalm 71:5 For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth. 6 Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you. Isaiah 49:5 And now the LORD says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him— for I am honoured in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength— Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Not true - how can those who are not filled with the Holy Spirit - the author of the holy scriptures - have any credence in understanding the scriptures in truth and God given wisdom.? Look at the theological fiasco created by Bible scholars with their so-called 'redaction criticism' on Mark 16:15-20. Pure theological bias. Scholars devoid of the Holy Spirit casting aspersions upon the truth of scripture. Claiming that these verses were added long after by someone or other, and that they are not applicable. Oh how convenient for cessationists and worldly scholars. Sorry, but as I am able to pray in the Spirit when reading and meditating on the word of God I rely on God given insight pertaining to doctrine. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 1Co 1:20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1Co 12:8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

My post immediately before yours speaks to this. To my knowledge there are no scriptures supporting the case that aborted and stillborn babies go to Heaven. Neither do the scriptures teach that anyone goes to Heaven when they die.

Acts 21:8 On the next day we departed and came to Caesarea, and we entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. 9 He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied.

I do not know as God has not informed me by either his word nor by revelation. But no one goes to Heaven when they die.

Does water baptism precede regeneration?
Waggles replied to Regenerated-Adult's topic in General Discussion
Yes. A person needs to believe in Christ Jesus and the gospel of salvation A person needs to repent from their previous life and self will. A person needs to confess their faith in Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour - usually done in the waters of baptism And a person also needs to be baptised in the Holy spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues. AND a disciple also needs to walk the walk and remain steadfast and true and loyal unto death or the Lord's return. No quitters. -
OK then aborted and stillborn babies do not go to Heaven. So you do not need to worry about if this is all unfair.

Ivan Panin who used the Bible Numerics of the original Greek text has given us a New Testament translation (1914) wherein every word and verse is proven by the numerics of the Greek text. "But Bible Numerics having demonstrated that in the Bible not only the books and their words as well as their order, but the very syllables also and letters, are dealt out by measure as well as weight, new standards are thus set up for the translator: he not being free any longer to avail himself of paraphrase, interpretation, ..." from the Preface 1914 first edition Matthew 28:19 is true and correct Mark 16:15-20 is God given and belongs in the scriptures Acts 8:37 is omitted Now Ivan Panin's "The New Testament From The Greek Text As Established By Bible Numerics" contains the following: 1Co 14:33 for *God is not a God of confusion, but of peace), as in all the churches of the saints. 1Co 14:34 Let the women be silent in the churches: for it is not permitted to them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as also saith the law. 1Co 14:35 And if they would learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is a shame for a woman to speak in church. 1Co 14:36 What, is it from you that the word of *God went forth, or came it unto you alone? God seals his word from dangers of theology. The verses in dispute in 1Corinthians 14 are doctrinally consistent with the teachings of other scripture in the NT; such as: Eph 5:22 *Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord, Eph 5:23 because the husband is the wife’s head as also the Christ is head of the church, himself saviour of the body. Eph 5:24 But as the church is subject to the Christ, so the wives be also to their husbands in everything.

Supposition.

No it is directly relevant to your OP - you wrote "Do miscarried, aborted, stillborn , etc. babies go to heaven? Because if they do, it seems almost unfair." So again I ask which scriptures inform you that stillborn and aborted babies go to heaven?
-
Where in the scriptures does it state that babies (or anyone else) goes to Heaven when they die?

Too much theology makes people unwise and possibly unbelievers. People with lots of theology do not believe the truth of scripture -Mark 16:15-20 - and likewise falsely claim that these verses are scribe additions and not God given. Yes we know that there are some interpolations and a verse that has been added into 1John 5 but there are sufficient manuscripts to determine additional material by scribes. Also Ivan Panin who used the Bible Numerics of the original Greek text has given us a New Testament translation (1914) wherein every word and verse is proven by the numerics of the Greek text. Matthew 28:19 is true and correct Mark 16:15-20 is God given and belongs in the scriptures Acts 8:37 is omitted Now Ivan Panin's "The New Testament From The Greek Text As Established By Bible Numerics" contains the following: 1Co 14:33 for *God is not a God of confusion, but of peace), as in all the churches of the saints. Does water baptism precede regeneration?

1Corinthians 15:29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf? Logically this is referring to water baptism not Holy Spirit baptism. A disciple cannot be baptised in the Holy Spirit multiple times and it would be pointless to do this for the dead. A strange first century practice I know but they apparently did it. And I have heard on the grapevine that the Mormons do this water baptism for the dead as well. -

I dont understand the trinity
Waggles replied to F_Ivan's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
All of the above can be done by and through the Father. Jesus and the Father are spiritually one. Jesus comes to the world in human form from ancient times (such as walking in the garden of Eden through to his ministry here on Earth). But as I read scripture God the Father works through Jesus and also his Spirit on Earth (this does not leave Jesus out of the equation). John 10:30 I and my Father are one. John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: Jesus never ever talks about being one with the Holy Spirit only with the Father. And the while Spirit-filled Christian can pray fervently in the Spirit we do not pray to the Holy Spirit but to our Father. Ephesians 2:18 For through him [Christ] we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. 18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I [Jesus] will come to you." -

Misquoting me. I wrote: so of course the Holy Spirit is a person as He is the means by which God the Father operates in the world [God is a spirit ...] and makes his abode in the Spirit-filled disciple. Thus blaspheming the Holy Spirit is to blaspheme the Father and the gospel of Jesus. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (KJV) 1Corin 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. -

Romans 10:14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Mark 16:15 And he [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. No - water baptism is water baptism, and a fundamental necessary act in believing the gospel and the work of Jesus Christ as God and Saviour. NO - speaking in tongues (praying in the Spirit) is the Bible evidence of being baptised in the Holy Spirit. In The Revival Fellowship everybody is water baptised and all speak in tongues (as distinct from those who also operate the voice gift of diversity of tongues at a worship meeting). -
Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. Yes praying daily in the Spirit (tongues) helps me to stay the course and to confront my wrongdoings when I do fail or backslide. The enemy knows my sinful history as the old previous person I was and continually stirs up temptations of desire or provokes me to bad behaviours in the flesh (like getting upset and cursing). But when I confront myself and pray in the Spirit about what is troubling me or as to what I have wrongly done then spiritually the power of the Holy spirit cleanses me from all of this and sets sets me free from condemnation. 1John 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

Does water baptism precede regeneration?

NO a person needs to hear the gospel of salvation preached to them directly from the scriptures. If they are moved to repent from life and submit to the gospel; then when they are water baptised they confess this new faith (Romans 10:9-10). I do not know what others do, but in The Revival Fellowship when a person is being water baptised we ask them to confess their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and in His death and resurrection for them. If and when they reply "yes" then they go under and come up, and people will lay hands on them and pray along with this person for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When a convert speaks in tongues then they have been filled with the Holy Spirit. This may happen at the same time of their water baptism, but many also receive the Spirit of God later when quietly praying for this privately. Sometimes people receive the Holy Spirit first (with the Bible evidence of praying in tongues) and then undergo water baptism. Water and Spirit - the two go together (but not necessarily at the same time). I received the indwelling Holy Spirit some 30 days after my water baptism. 2Tim 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. -

Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” This ought to happen in the waters of baptism Note that this is Romans 10 which follows chapter six on water baptism and chapter eight on Holy Spirit baptism Confessing with the mouth one's belief and new faith in the gospel of salvation. 1John 2:23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. -

Good grief. Bible lovers are now a cult. Sign of the times. -
Proverbs is designed to be read daily over and over again. There are 31 chapters which God in his wisdom has set to correspond to the days of the month. The easiest way to read proverbs daily and to get through the book is simply to read one chapter per day matching the date. So on the fourth of the month read chapter 4, on the fifth read chapter 5, and so on. Chapter 31 is read the least but there are sufficient months in the year that have 31 days. Hope this helps. Nick
