  1. There is great need for prayer for this nation and the nations of this earth. The greatest thing would be that all who believe in the Lord could be of united light, but at this time the light is not united and are much divided due to different doctrines and philosophies. But I do see the darkness is united. There is no coincidence that you see the same garbage being spewed forth from each major network, or see the same talking points among so many of the politicians. Our church has joined in united prayer each morning at 9:00 A.M. as there is power in united prayer. We are praying based on 3 things. Since we don't yet see a uniting of light but do see the uniting of darkness, we pray against this. Our first prayer is based upon Psalms 55:9, "Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues, for I have seen violence and strife in the city." We are praying for division within the darkness, confusion to their counsel, dividing their speech, their opinions, their counsel and their votes. That there be disagreement in their focus and message. Prayer two: Proverbs 12:17-19, "The truth teller speaks what is right, but the false witness speaks what is deceitful. Some speak rashly like the cutting of a sword, but what the wise say promotes healing. A truthful saying is trusted forever, but the liar only for a moment." Truth is established for it changes not but lies are in the moment. We are praying that truth prevail and be established. There are those in our nation that see the lies and the actions of evil. We are praying that truth prevail, that truth will be seen, heard and acted upon both in word and action, by standing up for truth, having the courage to declare truth and to vote for truth. Prayer three: Isaiah 22:12, " And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth." Sackcloth, ashes, fasting and the shaving of the head were actions of the pious and righteous in times of great sorrow. No one expects that of people in the day and age, though fasting is still a good thing to do. But those who walk with the Lord need to be crying out. Christians need to be praying with humbled hearts and hearts of repentance for our nation is in great danger. Darkness is not going away but this election is of great importance at this time of our history as a nation. Our nation is in danger as are all Christians, for darkness will not relent and we are in a battle that will far exceed this election.
  2. The republican party has failed to be aggressive in stopping abortion. Abortion was accepted in the Roe Vs Wade decision made by the supreme court and 5 of the justices were placed there by Republican presidents. It was a giant turning point toward darkness in this nation. So the republican party is not our salvation, however, more conservatives are found to be republican and the democratic party has run full force toward darkness. They embrace abortion, they embrace after birth abortion, they embrace same sex marriage, they embrace and tout the lack of Christian values. I fact I really don't know how a Christian can be liberal as Christian values are found in being conservative. So I agree the Republican leaders have failed for too often they have been spineless and have compromised with evil, however, I would not want to be in the unenviable position of supporting the democratic party and all that it embraces.
  3. Psalms 34:4, “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Deliverance from all fear surely would be a great blessing in the days in which we live where so many hide away in fear or walk separate from others due to their fears, for it is fear that has led so many to place their hope in the power of men and women and in a piece of cloth upon their faces. A life without fear remains as a sure promised blessing from the Lord, and that blessing is available unto all who believe, unto all who will seek, for the Lord still reigns with power upon His heavenly throne and unto those who call He will hear and He will deliver them from all their fears.
  4. The Democratic Party within our nation has been taken over by men and women who are of the darkness, and those who continue to support the Democratic Party are supporting evil and darkness, and those who support evil are just as guilty as those who perpetrate evil. The evil and darkness within the Democratic Party has increased and their agenda of darkness is no longer hidden, but the darkness has been within for many years ever since the darkness won a victory against light and life when murder was sanctioned and legalized through abortion. Abortion is murder, plain and simple, and no amount of argument will ever change this fact. The darkness increases in darkness and now the Democratic Party supports and advocates for late term abortion and even abortion after the child is born. All who support the people who advocate this are guilty of aligning with evil and darkness and the blood of the innocent is upon their hands. Within the Republican Party there are also men and women who do not stand fast against the darkness and continue to compromise with evil, and compromise with evil just gives more power to evil. When the darkness began to teach that homosexuality was by birth and not by choice, I knew that the darkness would increase and that pedophilia would also be normalized. Homosexuality is against nature and against the Lord God, and same sex marriage is an abomination before him. Now the darkness seeks to proclaim that child molesters and pedophiles are born this way and it is not a choice. Pedophiles are evil and their wickedness is a choice and there is nothing normal about hurting innocent children. If the darkness cannot prevent life while still in the womb or shortly after birth, they will attack the innocent through advancing pedophilia as good and normal behavior. The darkness rolls over our nation as a fog and the darkness wins victory after victory for the silent majority remains silent, and those of the light are not united and those of the light are not using the power of prayer and the power of truth. Those who see the truth that darkness exists and those who recognize that which is evil and of darkness must unite and stand together before it is too late. I call unto all who will read my words this day to pray diligently, and to fast as you are able, and for all to cry out for the mercies of heaven to be upon us, and I encourage all to stand without wavering against the darkness that seeks the destruction of all that is right, all that is innocent, all that is good, just and holy. To do nothing is no longer an option.
  5. Don't know that I am immune, I'm not prone to sickness, the Lord has blessed me greatly in this. I have had a cold before but never the flu. Not sure what that has to do with smiling, but am feeling fine and appreciate you checking on me.
  6. Interesting. I know many ponder who the two witnesses are. We are nearing the time of tribulation and the two witnesses are two people alive upon the earth at this time. One is on Israel and one is of Judah. One is in our country at this time and one is in Jerusalem at this time. Both already know their destinies but are not know of the world at this time.
  7. Yesterday I walked into a local grocery store. I was mask less as usual and ignored the signs at the entranceway that stated all must wear a mask when shopping there. I proceeded to get my groceries, smiling at all that I saw saddened that most faces were hidden behind masks. I went to the checkout and I was the only one at the checkout as it was early morning and they hadn't gotten busy yet. The young girl behind the register, hidden behind a Plexiglas shield, had her mask pulled down but quickly pulled it up as I approached. I smiled at her and told her that she didn't have to pull up the mask for my account. She said that it seemed to make the customers feel better. I told her that I was opposite from those customers. I stated that what I loved to see was faces made in the image of our God with beautiful smiles, not faces hidden behind masks. So she pulled down her mask and gave me the most beautiful smile. As I went to leave, she (with mask still off), continued to smile and wished me a blessed day. I miss the beauty of smiles from so many. I see so much sadness and too much fear. I go forth each day with a song of praise in my heart, a smile on my face, and a dance to my step and attempt to share smiles with all that I can. I smile as I type this remembering a nice moment from yesterday. But as I prepare to post this I know most will ignore the beauty of a smile and quickly attack the fact that I don't wear a mask. But I keep a smile on my face and have great joy each day in the Lord. So good morning to all as I sit at my computer and remember, Ole Tigger sits here with a smile on my face.
  8. It is pointless if your goal is to convert others to your way of thinking. In this forum we are Christians but within the fundamental belief in our Savior there are many varying viewpoints both to scripture, in how we are to worship or obey the Lord, as well as to the world around us. We will differ in opinions in politics, world events, etc.... Facts can be used for both sides of an debate. So instead of attempting to change others to your viewpoint, use the forum to state your viewpoint in the hopes some will agree and then perhaps reach an understanding of where others are coming from even if you don't agree with them. And as stated I believe my Sower, hope some seeds are planted. But remember, all think they are right including yourself and learn to work within that understanding.
  9. silent thought are not silent if shared.... Yes history can truly be attacked when it is systematically destroyed. I have even seen some books being thrown away and if you don't think much will be removed from schools you are truly living with blinders on. I never walked to school up hill in the snow, that was my dad and it was up hill both ways! I did walk to school as a kid to elementary school but it wasn't a hardship, the hardship was waking through shag carpet to change to one of the three channels without a remote. As for "another mask post". That wasn't really what this was, but since you seem to miss them and crave more, I will copy something that I just posted on Facebook for your enjoyment.... The lies behind this virus has been a continuous process. I find that the more a lie is spoken and the louder it is spoken the more people will believe it. Much of what we see in our nation is based upon an agenda of darkness and that agenda is clearly seen when so many lies are spoken, believed, and obeyed. The mask is one of the most obvious. It is a useless means of supposedly stopping this virus, yet it comes without common sense. How long are people suppose to wear masks? Forever? The mask is both unhealthy and unnecessary. I have family members that must wear a mask to continue to be employed. They fight it in the ways they can but they do need to provide for their families and are inhibited in their means to fight this. Those like me that are not required to wear a mask to keep our jobs are the ones that need to be fighting this. We need to fight it for our families and for our nation. We need to be examples of light. We are in a war against darkness and we must stand for what is right. If you do not see that the mask is a removal of our freedom, then you are truly blinded by the lies being spewed forth by a media controlled by darkness. It is sad that it is reaching a point around us that you cannot freely go about your lives. There are many waking up to the lies but still the majority live in fear because of the lies being told. Those who live in fear allows it to become obvious when they unreasonably attack those who do not succumb to the fears and lies around them. I love what Nino Vitale stated. He is a GOP state lawmaker in Ohio. Here is what he has posted and stated, “This is the greatest nation on earth founded on Judeo-Christian Principles,” Vitale said in a Facebook video. “One of those principles is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. That image is seen the most by our face. I will not wear a mask.” He continued that it was important to him to be able to see others’ faces without a mask obscuring them. “When we think of image, do we think of a chest or our legs or our arms? We think of a face,” Vitale said. “That’s the image of God right there, and I want to see it in my brothers and sisters.” I know that we can use the reason of health to attempt to go into a store and we can use the reason of religious belief. My brother stated that if needed he will simply state that it is due to a physical condition. You are not suppose to be asked what the physical condition is but if asked he stated he can simply tell them that he has a spine. Or you can also say, I have a brain. I think either would be a reason that you cannot physically surrender to mask wearing. I do appreciate the stand being made by Nino Vatale for it is true that we are made in the image of God and I truly believe Satan loves the fact that so many are obediently covering their faces and accepting the lies of darkness. I also believe that it is my duty as a Christian to fight against darkness and to stand for light. My heart goes out to those who have no choice in wearing a mask and I admire them for their sacrifice to provide for their families, for it truly is a sacrifice. But as for me, I have no such reason. Thus I need to make such posts as I am now and I need to also go about with a face uncovered before man and before my God.
  10. A changing world does not mean that we must change along with it. We live in days of great changes and there are many new choices that we face as individuals and as a nation. Some changes are required in a changing world but many things must be unchangeable and remain the same. Those of us who belong to Jesus, we are the children of the light and we have a strong foundation of light and truth and we must base our choices on that foundation and upon that which we know to be good, just, and holy. A changing world does not mean that we must change along with it. It amazes me how our world has changed in just a few months. I am faced with choices I never considered. Until this year I never considered controversy over whether to wear a mask or not. I never would have believed that crowds in Chicago would hate Christopher Columbus statues, or in Portland they would burn an Elk statue or that our history would be so under attack. I do believe the world has gone mad! My father is 85 years old and he will speak of the times in which he lived. He use to pick cotton and he lived during World War 2, my grandfather served as a marine during that time and faced battles in the Pacific. My father remembers the first time they were rationed margarine, He remembers the war bonds and still has some. He remembers the time that they would only use the battery on their big old radio to listen to the Grand Ole Opry once a week. As a child, I remember being shown to hide under a desk during the Cuban Missile Crisis, I remember only getting three channels on TV, I remember being at school when they televised the landing upon the moon. So in my time as well I have seen many changes. In this time of turmoil I am very thankful for an unchanging God and a truth that will remain truth whether people believe it or not. The phrase the "new norm" is one that I truly hate. I refuse to accept what many now call "normal" for much that is happening to our nation and the nations across this earth is anything but normal.
  11. A timid and apathetic people shall fall, for even the weakest of enemies are emboldened by the passiveness of the strong, so strength and power must be clearly seen and force must be met with force, for apathy toward the enemy only gives power to the enemy.
  12. Never mentioned buying special bullets. I said I could only find hollow points on line, which is the best bullet for defense as it will not pass though a person to hit an innocent bystander. The FMJ is the term for full metal jacket which is the bullet best used for target practice. You can, of course, get different grain radio of gunpowder in the various bullets. I definitely wouldn't suggest "cop killer' bullets, etc.... Plus you need for safety to use the bullets made for your specific gun.
  13. I remember a joke where a Quaker had someone break into his home. The Quaker had a shotgun and he got up and spotted the intruder in the dark. He pointed the gun and simply said, "brother, I mean thee no harm but I am about to shoot where thou standest." I am the owner of several guns. I have a 20 gauge shotgun for home defense and keep it in my bedroom. I also own a .22 pistol that I enjoy shooting for target practice in a gully behind my home. I also own a 9 MM Smith and Wesson Shield that I keep in a holster and am about to get my CWP (concealed weapon permit). I am planning on buying a 30 30 lever action rifle in the near future. I enjoy shooting the guns but hope I never have to use them in defense of my family or my home. But I am willing to do so. Those who do not own guns may not be aware but stores that sell guns are selling out of guns and are selling out of ammunition. I wanted some more 9 MM bullets and couldn't find them in any stores near me. I bought some at a pawn shop. I can order hollow points on line but can't get any FMJ bullets. With all of the riots and with increased crime more Americans are prepared for defense in these uncertain times. Perhaps there is also preparation for civil war. Many Americans hold the 2nd amendment dear and are not going to relinquish that freedom. In the past few months records are being broken on the number of background checks being conducted for the purchase of firearms. A record number of sales and a record number of CWPs being issued. Antifa is claiming they will disrupt and prevent voting in the November elections. The BLM movement along with Antifa is threatening to go into the suburbs, etc... to riot and loot. There is a cry to defund the police. It is a time for Christians to seriously consider where they stand in regards to the defense of their own homes, defense of their families, defense of their communities, and defense of their freedoms. So what are your feelings as a Christian in regards to firearms and in regards to the defense of your homes and family?
  14. For those who expressed an interest.... we gave my mother yesterday for her 84th birthday, a candy bar, a soda, and the first season of Dr. Kildare. She loved it and we had to put on the first episode for her to watch. The show came out in 1961 and ended in 1966, so she didn't remember the episode but remembered the show and how much she use to love watching it back in a time when you didn't have DVR's or other means of recording. She doesn't ever remember ever seeing reruns of the show. It brought back good memories of when one night a week back when my brothers, my sister and I were small that my dad would put us to bed early and let my mom watch the show with a candy bar and soda by herself. In 1961 my mother was 25 years old and she already had 5 children.
  15. Voices cry out in troubling times, voices cry out to tear down and destroy, voices cry out to protect and to build stronger, voices cry out. Voices cry out once more to build a new nation, but this time not a new nation under God but a new nation without God, a nation under darkness and anarchy. Voices cry out to cling to our founding, to hold true to the principles that made us a nation of liberty where people are free, voices cry out. Socialism once more seeks the destruction of liberty and freedom and an end to the once cherished and oft quoted words, “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” What voice shall we heed as a nation and what path shall we take, for as a nation we stand at a crossroad, the patriot’s road beckons and the pioneer’s spirit calls and the voices across time cry out to us to cherish and protect all the things that brought us liberty and freedom? Voices cry out, but which voice shall we heed, which voice shall we follow? Will we heed the voices that desire to destroy our history and remove the very foundation established or will we heed the voices of those who founded a nation like none other? Voices cry out, and as a nation we stand at a place of destiny and the Lord and history shall judge us based upon the voices we heed and the path that we take.
  16. It was only a matter of time before those who murder and those who delight in removing the sacred gift of life from unborn children would also seek to remove the freedoms and liberties of life from the ones who defy their evil plans by protecting life from its origin. It is time for the defenders of light and life to awaken and realize that we are truly at war with darkness and evil, and that we must be as relentless and unyielding in our cause as evil is of theirs. Evil and darkness comes at us at many battlefronts. We must as Christians be prepared to defend, declare, and stand for light and truth. Christians are not meant to be doormats, we are called to be warriors.
  17. Thanks, I will let you know how it goes. We are delaying the birthday celebration until Thursday instead of Tuesday as my brother wanted to be a part of it so he ordered season 2 of Dr. Kildare. I told my mom that we had ordered her a birthday gift and she is okay with celebrating her birthday on Sunday when it really is and then celebrating it again on Thursday! Who wouldn't love two birthdays instead of one? You are right that doing the simple things together are the precious moments that we treasure. When growing up my dad took lots of slides. He loved to take us on hikes, fishing, and camping and we have many pictures of many times together. I still have them along with a projector and screen. I also took slides when my kids were small. My kids love coming over and seeing them, though we don't do it often, that makes it still a treat. Now the grandchildren love seeing them too. I am blessed with a large and loving family. We like playing "corn hole", "horseshoes", etc... I have an old tire swing in my back yard for the grandkids. My parents live next door and they have a swimming pool that adds to the enjoyment. My dad also has a golf cart that allows the grandkids to have a lot of fun. I also have all of them want to come over if I cook out burgers and promise them home made ice cream (not all the time, it is a lot of trouble, I still have the hand cranked kind). I made an outdoor patio in my backyard under shade trees. I enclosed and area with bricks on the outside line and filled the interior with small river gravel. I put in a fire pit, picnic table and chairs. I put up outside lights installed in small upright logs for night lighting along with some tiki torches. We are enjoying the picnic table and chairs and once cool weather comes we will enjoy the fire pit again. I am blessed that all my children live near to me. I also have cousins and other family not far away. The Lord has blessed me greatly and the memories I have and the memories I am building keep me praising the Lord and am very thankful for my many Jesus moments. In this time of so much turmoil the comfort and strength of family is a blessing that I can't praise the Lord enough for!
  18. I think she will to. I told my brother yesterday what I was getting for our mom. He decided he wanted to be a part of it so he went ahead and ordered season 2 and we will give her both along with the Pepsi and candy bar and put the first episode on for her to play.
  19. Thanks for sharing. The hugs and kisses from grandkids can't be beat! Also when you mentioned building cabinets it made me think of a very dear friend that passed away a number of years ago. He was a carpenter and finally got into primarily building cabinets. By the way, I lived for a couple of years near Longview, Texas. Don't know how far that is from where you reside, but I have fond memories of Texas.
  20. As I walk through each day I pray for "Jesus Moments", times when I will simply think of him, or see things that cause me to praise him. He helps me throughout the day in even the simplest of things. I share a simple thought He gave me yesterday. My mom is about to have her 84th birthday. She doesn't get around very well, it is very difficult to buy her clothes and she doesn't need anymore jewelry. She is no longer able to cook and doesn't go out to restaurants. My wife and I was having a difficulty time thinking of what to get her. I asked my mom what she wanted for her birthday and she nothing that she could think of. As I left my parents' home I simply asked the Lord to guide me. You may think it is silly but the words, "Doctor Kildare" came into my mind. I asked my dad about it later. When I was 5 years old, the show, "Doctor Kildare" came out. My dad said it was my mom's favorite show at the time and that he would put us kids to bed on the night it was on. He would give her a pepsi and a candy bar and let her watch the show in peace and quiet. It was a special evening for her. So my wife and I have purchased season one of Doctor Kildare on DVD, this coming Tuesday we are going to bring it over in the evening. We are giving her a pepsi and a candy bar and putting the show on. It should be a pleasant memory for her. I thank the Lord for all the thoughts, answered prayers, and moments He blesses me with each and everyday.
  21. I am saddened you are thankful that others are mandated to wear masks so that you can feel safe. The idea of droplets harming people is very much inflated and truly so much is unknown. This is a quote from Van Kerkhove who was clarifying an answer she gave at a World Health Organization news briefing. In response to a reporter’s question, she said transmission of the virus from people who never develop symptoms appears to be “very rare.” She was attacked afterward for not helping instill the fear.
  22. I agree our joy should be in the Lord and we should be living life abundantly. But I don't think it is just the mask that is taking so much joy, it is just one element. It is the times in which we live. There is so much fear, uncertainty, violence and darkness. It can be very over whelming to so many people and there is much sadness upon the earth.
  23. I don't believe it is just the mask itself. I believe a lot of it is the times in which we live and the mask is just one of the elements involved. There is so much strife, so much hatred, violence, fear, etc... We must find our joy in the Lord and live our lives abundantly.
  24. We will disagree on this of course. Fear has a lot to do with it as so many studies have shown the mask to be useless. I have thought about getting a second mask that says, "Placebo for fear", but thought, why bother as I'm not planning on wearing the one I have. I got it just in case I need it to go into a hospital to visit someone. Fear, of course, isn't the only reason for wearing a mask. Some have to, to be able to work and keep their jobs. Some have no choice if they want to be able to get groceries, etc... The mask is being used as a means to get people to be compliant and the media has used fear as a tactic. I didn't truly expect many to agree with me as too many Christians have also accepted so much of the rhetoric as we say in the south, "hook, line, and sinker". Sorry couldn't resist the fishing reference but it fits. The only fever I have had is the fishing fever. I was blessed to go trout fishing this past week. I caught 3 beautiful rainbow trout. Well, more than three but only three that were keepers! Anyway, off subject. My heart goes out to you Debp and others under mask mandates and pray that your leaders will come to their senses or have God move in their hearts and quit playing politics at the expense of the American people. I am not condemning you for wearing a mask, but won't silently allow others to condemn me for not wearing one. Yesterday, I was getting a haircut and the young lady cutting my hair (she was wearing a mask, but told me she didn't want to, but had to too at work?, when I went in the place it was deserted. There were 4 young ladies there waiting for customers. I asked them why they weren't busy, they said when they first opened up there was sometimes a 4 hour wait, but then it slowed down. They said they feel some stay away because of thinking they will have a long wait, others work from home and aren't worried about appearance and they said the third reason was fear. All four of them said they only wore the mask because it was required at work. The young lady cutting my hair told me that her mother had gone to Sam's Club and had to wear a mask inside but took it off immediately upon leaving the store. She said her mother is kind of feisty, and was passing a woman in the parking lot wearing a mask, The woman with the mask told her this girl's mother, "don't you think you should try a mask and think of others?", the mother replied, "don't you think you should try a muzzle?" Got a big laugh out of that one. Bottom line, those who feel better by wearing a mask then do so, but stop trying to mandate others to do so as well.
