  1. What Jostler said~is my 2 cents too. Stunned with the accuracy of the truth, in all honesty.
  2. Thank you so much, Gordon! I will most gladly look and learn! As Moses was the most humble man, I wrote it in the vein that "if anyone thinks they know anything, they know nothing as they ought, yet; or if anyone thinks he is something when they are not".
  3. That's what He said! Yeshua answered, "You people don't know what you're asking. Can you drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said to Him, "We can." He said to them, "Yes, you will drink My cup." CJB Was this to the 11 or to whosoever will?
  4. They took over from Moses all the gifts that the Israelites had brought, to carry out the tasks connected with the service of the sanctuary. But when these continued to bring freewill offerings to him morning after morning, all the artisans who were engaged in the tasks of the sanctuary came, each from the task upon which he was engaged, and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than is needed for the tasks entailed in the work that the LORD has commanded to be done.” Moses thereupon had this proclamation made throughout the camp: “Let no man or woman make further effort toward gifts for the sanctuary!” So the people stopped bringing: their efforts had been more than enough for all the tasks to be done. Exodus 36:3-7 Tanakh `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the community and say: Withdraw from about the abodes of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.” Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, the elders of Israel following him. He addressed the community, saying, “Move away from the tents of these wicked men and touch nothing that belongs to them, lest you be wiped out for all their sins.” So they withdrew from about the abodes of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Now Dathan and Abiram had come out and they stood at the entrance of their tents, with their wives, their children, and their little ones. And Moses said, “By this you shall know that it was the LORD who sent me to do all these things; that they are not of my own devising: if these men die as all men do, if their lot be the common fate of all mankind, it was not the LORD who sent me. But if the LORD brings about something unheard-of, so that the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol, you shall know that these men have spurned the LORD. Scarcely had he finished speaking all these words when the ground under them burst asunder, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up with their households, all Korah’s people and all their possessions. They went down alive into Sheol, with all that belonged to them; the earth closed over them and they vanished from the midst of the congregation. Numbers 16:23-33 Tanakh
  5. Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn her seven pillars. I, Wisdom, live with Prudence; I attain knowledge and foresight. To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, And duplicity in speech. Mine are counsel and resourcefulness; I am understanding; courage is mine. Prov 8:12-14, 9:1 Tanakh
  6. After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ attendant: “My servant Moses is dead. Prepare to cross the Jordan, together with all this people, into the land that I am giving to the Israelites. Every spot on which your foot treads I give to you, as I promised Moses. Your territory shall extend from the wilderness and the Lebanon to the Great River, the River Euphrates [on the east]—the whole Hittite country—and up to the Mediterranean Sea on the west. No one shall be able to resist you as long as you live. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. “Be strong and resolute, for you shall apportion to this people the land that I swore to their fathers to assign to them. But you must be very strong and resolute to observe faithfully all the Teaching that My servant Moses enjoined upon you. Do not deviate from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Let not this Book of the Teaching cease from your lips, but recite it day and night, so that you may observe faithfully all that is written in it. Only then will you prosper in your undertakings and only then will you be successful. “I charge you: Be strong and resolute; do not be terrified or dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:1-9 Tanakh
  7. A letter of blessing and such joy! 2 Peter 1:1-11(CJB) From: Shim‘on Kefa, a slave and emissary of Yeshua the Messiah To: Those who, through the righteousness of our God and of our Deliverer Yeshua the Messiah, have been given the same kind of trust as ours: May grace and shalom be yours in full measure, as you come to a full knowledge of God and Yeshua our Lord. God’s power has given us everything we need for life and godliness, through our knowing the One who called us to his own glory and goodness. By these he has given us valuable and superlatively great promises, so that through them you might come to share in God’s nature and escape the corruption which evil desires have brought into the world. For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness goodness with knowledge knowledge with self-control self-control with perseverance perseverance with godliness godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love. For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. Indeed, whoever lacks them is blind, so shortsighted that he forgets that his past sins have been washed away. Therefore, brothers, try even harder to make your being called and chosen a certainty. For if you keep doing this, you will never stumble. Thus you will be generously supplied with everything you need to enter the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.
  8. A shot in the dark: None of the above? But by walking in the Spirit and yielded to do/say whatever He says to do, and not to when He says not to? The witness of His Presence? "Surely, God is with you". (Paraphrased, I can't find the scripture) Edit: 1 & 6...? they will know we are Christians by our Love
  9. May I bring one of my favorite scripture songs to the table--concerning Moses, who God recorded as the most humble man on earth--Who spoke with him face-to-face. Moses certainly didn't understand God's ways, hence his prayer...Exodus 33:9-17 Herein shall it be made known in the earth, That we have found grace in Thy sight. If Thy Presence go with us, Within us to change us, To be Thine Inheritance. Show us Thy Way that we might know Thee. Separate us to Thy Rest. Show us Thy Glory, oh Lord our God. Descend in the cloud and proclaim Thy Name. Merciful, gracious, suffering Lord, Full of Goodness and Truth. Show us Thy Glory, Oh Lord our God. We would yield all and worship Thee.
  10. Great post. Confirming but comforting words for those who learn the hard way and don't regard His Word. Let this be a lesson learned: "He never leaves me alone because I always come unto Him".
  11. With no pretense that I’ve arrived, but may I express great appreciation for the “meat of the most mature-kind”? You once said, “The truth cuts sometimes to the point of offense to get at what is in the way of spiritual growth. Those who don’t see that as necessary also don’t see the offense as constructive.” I thank the Lord for the powerful encouraging words. Maturity IN purity!
  12. The beauty of walking in righteousness can be seen, and surely is admired by all the host of Heaven, when a person is walking in it; whether it breaks a bruised reed or quenches a smoking wick or hair-lips all of hell; it matters not, because pleasing Christ is all that matters to them.
  13. Excellent posts. Every one. The devil is out to trick us into not finishing the race through many distractions and getting us to focus on everything and anything 'other' than dependence upon a personal hearing relationship with the Lord. Hear and obey. We must know the scriptures because, as you said, they are a map, a guide and a confirmation of what we hear from the Lord. We are called to be mature sons, attuned and led by the Spirit.
  14. This morning, upon awakening, my first thought, desire, and prayer was to walk in righteousness, knowing that He only blesses righteousness, and when we're in His presence, that's the reality and love of God. If we know the love of God, we know Him. To follow on to know this God and His great love in greater degree and measure, it would behoove us to "go and sin no more". My heart accepts and answers the call of this Love. Blessings to all.
  15. This scripture and the beauty of the experience in believing; and all we have to do is "reckon" (to account, calculate; regard as fact) ourselves dead... is becoming a bedrock of my prayer life and walk in freedom, unlike any other scripture. Oh for the fullness of the revelation of our deaths in Christ! Thank You, Jesus We are crucified with Christ. Reinforcement we no longer live, but Christ lives in us. Sovereign Lord, Reign in us. "The Faith that dives deep into their death in Christ, is the Faith that is fed the most and grows." To me, the very sobering reality of the above underlined warns and prepares the heart to follow Jesus' example of absolute surrender and submission to His Father's Will. Humility and death are in their very nature one: humility is the bud; in death, the fruit is ripened to perfection. Humility leads to perfect death.—Humility means the giving up of self, and the taking of the place of perfect nothingness before God. Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient unto death. Andrew Murray Yes! let us run hard, toward this joy set before us, pulling up all the stops, quitting all diversions, that it might be said: All of Christ and none of us.
  16. I so thanked the Lord for this sincere post. What blessing, encouragement and Life. I believe that He even gives us the desire to turn our will to His, in singleness of heart. Every second we will find that our thoughts and our will are turned or need to turn until He completely possesses us. I believe that as we choose to deny our will with a great desire for His, and by faith steadfastly trusting and turning to Him, with indifference to what we want, or desire, or what happens to us, after a while, the exercise becomes 'natural'. In part due to the power of desire, concentration, and discipline, and because we have such a gracious Lord. When I look into Your Holiness When I gaze into Your Loveliness When all things that surround me Become shadows in the Light of You When I find the joy of reaching Your Heart When my will becomes enthroned in Your Love When all things that surround me Become shadows in the Light of You... I worship You. The reason I live is to worship You.
