Any one educated in our failed public education systems has been taught about evolution since about the 5th grade. I know as much about evolution as you do and probably more. I certainly know you can't prove even one thing evolution preaches. I can prove "after their kind" and you can't falsify it. Of course our genes are less similar to every other species, and there is no next species. DNA is not about housekeeping, it is about not only identifying species, it is about identifying distinct, different species. It will tell if I am homo sapien, black, white, English, Spanish, German, etc. DNA has nothing to do with controlling the cell cycle or dividing cells. While DNA does have many elements, I doubt if you can support it has hundred of millions of elements in one species. However the number of elements is irrelevant. It will always do its function of identifying the species from which it came.. Genetics is a science discreet from evolution but it totally and completely refutes evolution and proves "after their kind." Love, peace, joy

The fact that I don't interpret the light in Gen 1:3 the way you do does not mean I do not take the creation account literally. I do. God did not introduced physical light into His universe until the 4th day. Therefore the light in verse 3 could not be physical light. what was it? Consider this, it is not possible to have evening and morning without light and the earth orbiting but we have them, except that is not mentioned for the Sabbath. Why is that? You need to address The following questions: Is God eternal? Is God Light? Is God's Shekinah glory light? Is His Shekinah glory eternal? If God is Light and He is eternal, how was here ever physical darkness in the universe. Also the darkness in v2 was limited to the surface of the deep. The whole universe is not included. God is eternal; His Shekinah glory is eternal. The universe has never been without light. That is one reason I consider the light in Gen 1:1 to refer to the light of the gospel revealing the glory of God(2 Cor 4:4). Light is the most used metaphor used in the Bible, and when linked with some other "light' verses, it reinforces our eternal security, but that's another story, for another time. Love, peace, joy

I doubt if your study of a book or topic ever finishes. Every time I review some of my notes, I see areas that need improvement. I don't know what resources you have for understanding Hebrew words, but one titled "Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament," is superior to any I have seen. It is 2 volumes written by about 60 Hebrew scholars and in linked to The NASB Strong's Concordance. It does not give just a short, dictionary type definition, but and explanation, sometime using 2-3 pages. I know there is a good chance you already have this resource, but maybe there are some out there who would like to consider using this resource. love, peace joy

There are several good possibilities: The Shekiniah glory of God, Jesus the Light of the world. My choice is 2 Cor 4:4 - in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving that they may not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God. Jesus ;love me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Jesus is the Alpha an Omega, this I know, for the Bible tells me so. However those titles go much deeper than we see on the surface. As you know or should know, Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. When we see opposites contrasted it is an idiom meaning everything in between also. This one is like our idiom everything between A and Z. The first word in the Bible is not "in", it is "Beginning" and you know the last word in the Bible is "amen." In Revelation 3:14 Jesus is called the Beginning and the Amen. So the idiom is telling us that Jesus is the beginning of the Bible and the end of the Bible and everything in between. IMO this reinforces 2 Tim 3:16 --ALL Scripture is inspired by God... Also, this is what Jesus told the men on the road to Emmaus. Lk 24:27 - And beginning with Moses and with all he prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in ALL the Scriptures. Lk 24:44 - Now He said o them, "these are My words which I spoke o you while I was with you, that ALL hings which are written about Me in the Law of Moses the prophets and the Psalms(the 3 basic division of the OT) must be fulfilled. Incidentally Emmaus means " in honest longing." WE should all get on the road to Emmaus every day and hope Jesus meets us there and explains the Scriptures to us. Love, peace and joy
