There is a large number of medical experts who warn about the mRNA "vaccines". It's true that many who are concerned about the vaccines, are the ones who have seen the adverse effects up close, while the others think, "I'm alright, Jack.". It tends to be those who have done little or no investigation of their own (including some doctors/pharmacists/nurses) who mock the ones who have done investigation. I just hope that you don't find out the hard way, in a few years' time, when the long-term effects become apparent (actually, many have not had to wait that long, as the rapidly growing list of SADS victims testifies).
-
Nevertheless, a child had to be killed, in order for those vaccines to exist.

That's a good one! I hadn't thought of that one.

Yes: the "Paraclete" is the One who comes alongside us, to help and strengthen. The word used by the KJV, "comforter", was very good, because it meant "one who comes together (with you) to strengthen". Sadly, the word has changed its meaning, in modern English.

Enoob, enoob, enoob... Scripture, on its own, does not produce faith, otherwise everyone who heard it would have faith. God uses Scripture, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to produce faith in his elect. James 1:16-18 (KJV) 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 1 Thess. 1:4,5 (KJV) 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

When people claim that they became Christians by weighing up the pros and cons, then making a decision for Christ, I smell a dead rat. They tend to be all about man's will/decision making and very little about the wonderful grace of the Lord (even if they mention grace sometimes). It often comes across more as will-worship and works than worship of the Lord.

I certainly did provide verses (not just one) showing that regeneration necessarily precedes faith in Jesus Christ. You can shut your eyes if you want, but the truth is there. John 3:3-7 (KJV) 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water andofthe Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. ---Jesus said that we must be born again to see and enter the kingdom of God. We know that we enter God's kingdom, through faith in Jesus Christ. Q.E.D. 1 John 5:1 (WEB) Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. Whoever loves the Father also loves the child who is born of him. ---Everyone who believes (present tense), has been (Greek perfect tense - happened in the past, with the result continuing in the present) born of God. This means that being born of God necessarily precedes believing, confirming the truth declared by Jesus himself, in John 3. There are also several Scriptures showing that the unregenerate man hates the light and will not come to it (John 3:19,20 - contrast this with the born again person in verse 21); that he is hostile towards God and cannot please him (Rom. 8:7,8); and that he does not receive the things of the Spirit of God (e.g. the gospel - 1 Cor. 2:14). In short, the natural, unregenerate man will never believe in Jesus Christ unto salvation - ever. https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/287288-chosen-to-salvation/?do=findComment&comment=3610478

Once you have been born again, an eternal, living, loving relationship with the Lord begins. This results in a dramatic inward change, leading to outward change (fruit-bearing, by the Holy Spirit) and a lifelong battle against our flesh.

The saints do do the works ordained for them to do, because God works in us, to will and to do of his good pleasure. We are kept by the power of God, through faith, unto salvation.

Farouk, why all this interest in tattoos and ear piercings? Is this the Lord, or something unhealthy?
-
Finally, something we agree upon!
-
Yes; if someone has been born again, he knows it (even if he doesn't know the correct expression yet). It changes you - dramatically, from darkness to light, from death to life, from unbelief to faith. It is a miraculous work of God, not a product of the sinful human will. This is why, when I hear some people say things like, "I made the decision to believe in Jesus and now I'm saved.", alarm bells go off in my head. How can anyone whom God has saved, make such a statement? It's a sign of dead religion, not living relationship.
-
It is.

Being born again, on its own, saves no-one. I am absolutely not claiming "salvation unto faith"! As I proved with Scripture, being born again is necessary for anyone to believe in Jesus Christ; however, you cannot be said to be saved until you have believed.

Scripture does say the things I posted, I just didn't post any supporting quotes. You've already posted the Scripture saying that God does not take pleasure in the death of an Israelite lawbreaker, in the Old Covenant. I didn't think that I would need to post a Scripture showing that God loves justice. Do you really need me to? The other part of my comment was just joining these truths together. There is a difference between taking pleasure in the thing itself (the death of a law-breaker) - God does not take pleasure in such a death, and taking pleasure in the justice that leads to that death (and God does take pleasure in the justice that he enacts). This is incorrect. We believe what the Bible says about man's ability to respond to the gospel. Man responds according to his nature. Someone with an unregenerate, light-hating, hostile-to-God nature will respond accordingly - in rejection of the gospel. Someone whom God regenerates will respond according to his new, soft heart/spirit, in repentance and faith.

That commentary seems to have taken a few liberties with the text. It certainly has some truths in it as well, but I wish that commentators would try to be as objective as possible, and leave speculative comments to an absolute minimum.
-
That out-of-context proof text, is to Israel, under law. God had no pleasure in Jews dying, because they'd broken the law, so he commanded them to turn and live. The law gave no strength to keep it. It was given partly to show man his guilt and inability, so that he would be brought to the end of himself and realise that, if he were to be saved, it would take the Lord to do it. Clearly, some people have not come to the end of themselves yet.

I don't know who deleted the posts, or why. I hope it was just a glitch.

The fall of man was not on my mind at all; in fact, I have never even considered the possibility that God might have sent the devil to tempt Eve, because she did not have a love for the truth. Thanks for that. I will have to consider this and pray about it.

He chose you (and other wretches, like myself), to show his mercy and grace in your life; to bring glory to himself; to set you apart for holy purposes; to adopt you into his family; to show you his lovingkindness; also, so that you cannot boast and will be to his praise.

That God foreknew, when it refers to people, as contrasted with events, does not mean "knew about beforehand", but, "chose beforehand". Here is what BDAG says (the foremost Koine Greek lexicon) Foreknow (proginosko) BDAG: προγινώσκω 1. to know beforehand or in advance, have foreknowledge (of) τί someth. Hs 7:5. Abs., in advance 2 Pt 3:17. 2. choose beforehand τινά someone Ro 8:29., 11:2, Pass. of Christ προεγνωσμένος πρὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου 1 Pt 1:20.—Know from time past προγινώσκοντές με ἄνωθεν Ac 26:5. Regarding 2nd Thess... 2 Thess. 2:8-13 (KJV) 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Verses 12 and 13 show that this is a contrast between those who are to be damned and those whom God chose, from the beginning, to salvation. The means God chose to save us, is through setting apart, by the Holy Spirit, and belief of the truth. That those chosen to salvation were not merely at some vague time in the future, but also right there and then, is proved by the fact that verse 13 says, "But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you...because God has, from the beginning, chosen you to salvation...".

The reasons why God chooses some for salvation and not others are given in general terms; and they are all based on God's will and pleasure, his glory and his grace. Eph. 1:4-6, 11 (KJV) 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 1) God has purposed to choose a people for himself, to make us holy and without blame before him in love 2) God has purposed to choose a people for himself, to adopt us into his family 3) God's purpose in election to salvation, is the good pleasure of his will 4) God's purpose in election to salvation, is the glory of his grace. 5) God predestined his chosen ones to salvation, according to the purpose and counsel of his own will. 1 Cor. 1:27-31 (KJV) 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. A) God has chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the "wise" B) God has chosen the weak things to confound the "mighty" C) God has chosen the despised, to bring to nothing those who are something, in human terms D) God's purpose in this is that no-one should boast in his presence E) It is of God that we are in Christ Jesus (i.e. not our will or decision) F) All this is for one, overarching purpose: that the one who glories, glories in the Lord Rom. 9:14-16 (KJV) 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 1) God's shows mercy and compassion to whom he will 2) The basis for God's choice of whom to have mercy upon, is not man's will, or works, but within God himself, who shows mercy.

You appear to be allowed to keep posting rubbish, while anyone who calls you out has his post deleted. I've had enough of it. Since no-one is dealing with you, or seems to care, I'll leave you to your own devices. I've spent some time, in the past, showing you where you are wrong. You have simply kept on repeating the same old canards, apparently ignoring the correction. It's a waste of everyone's time. You are not a teacher and should not be trying to teach. I've warned you about this several times. Please take it to heart. This is not a game.

Ah, that's what you meant! Yes, we are walking ecosystems.
