  1. "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute." "Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." {Proverbs-31:8-9} "Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy." {Psalms-82:3} "Do not withhold good from those to whom to is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so." {Proverbs-3:27} Whether it is the "poor in spirit" or those who are without money or those who are being persecuted or taken advantage of, I believe helping anyone who is truly in need should primarily be left up to Churches and social service agencies/organizations, food banks, etc. and let the Government do whatever they are going to continue to do since that is pretty much out of our hands. Because when you bring it down to dealing with people in a one on one basis then you can judge much better just who really needs help and who is just looking for another free handout simply because they "qualify" for it. Either way helping the poor or giving to charities is really the only good works many of us can do so you should always be ready and willing in case an opportunity presents itself or whenever you are "led" by the Spirit to do so.
  2. Even the weakest Christian can see that the Sabbath day was done away with after Christs death...but it does take a very strong-minded Christian to think HIS sacrifice/death was not good enough to do away with it...so i guess maybe i should at least acknowlegde the 7 day Adventists for that alone, and since they do name there churches after what they believe in...so then i am sure calling them out will not be too offensive, if at all??
  3. Well i stand corrected...after doing a bit more research i found out the very city i live in is referred to as the "poultry capital of the WORLD"! I can still hardly beieve it...??
  4. The city/town where i live has to be for its size one of the trashiest anywhere in the country, with only major cities being dirtier, but not by much. And it seems like there is no one as in sanitation crews going around picking any of it up. It probably has a lot to do with the very LARGE homeless population, which again is only surpassed by much larger cities. Also this is the largest hub for chicken plants/factories in the entire south, which of course means there is also a very LARGE Hispanic population. Also the crime rate is very high and the couple of big jails here are almost always over-crowded. Maybe the only good thing about it is a whole lot of churches to choose from including one mega church which has a national TV broadcast i'm sure many here have probably seen before. Also there are a lot of jobs or at least companies that advertise they are hiring, but also a lot of unemployed here such as myself, who likely will be overlooked in favor of someone with more experience and a more stable work history, but it's probably like that anywhere else. Basically i would consider this more of a transcient location with a lot of people passing through and staying just long enough to make some money before moving on. But I can't imagine why anyone would want to live in any place like this on a permanent basis...except of course for the migrants at the chicken plants!
  5. Well i dont know a lot at all about international currencies or even how it all works, but just from what i see as an American citiizen, is that WE have it a lot easier than many nations and maybe even been spared from some of the complications from turmoils that other people around the world have had to deal with as far as every day financial transactions? But then again you see these info-mercials on places like Youtube that make it sound so easy to make some big $$$$ from your own home business or trading or whatever, almost like anyone can do it without any problems with international transactions from one currency to the next, and it's all taken care of...??
  6. Isaiah-30:3...just felt a leading i guess to post about this now, which i am assuming has to do with putting your/our trust in the things of this world rather than in the provision of God/Christ. And i'm sure almost anyone either has a Bible or a computer/Google where they will have access to this passage at anytime so no need for me to even quote it now.
  7. I have heard at least one preacher/pastor mention that the true Passover is always 15 days after the Spring equinox(March20) and Pentecost being 50 days later would be on or around May 24th according to the Solar calendar, since only the Jews still use the Lunar or 354 day year, which is not what WE are supposed to go by...? But i would only mention that all end time prophecies in Revelation and Daniel go by the 360 day year, so what's up with this 365 day/year only teaching...?
  8. Well i am not about to read through over 180 comments and so i'm sorry if this has already been mentioned, but as far as i remember the Greek interpretation for "beheading" means just that, period. And i say that only because i know of one TV Pastor who said it is only referring to 1st century martyrs such as John the baptist and whoever else, he doesn't say...? But either way, why or how would these end times events have anything to do with 1st century events, if i may be so bold to ask without offending this mans/ministry's international "followers" who seem to be so easily offended, since he is passed on now so i guess THEY are defending what he may have said? Anyway that is really another story and may not even be that relevant to the OP's question, but just thought i would/should bring it up, and maybe someone needed to be aware of it??
  9. Maybe that will be true, but i tend to agree more with what Christ said in Matthew 24:20, and i believe He said that for a good reason, but still many others would probably disagree with that. But i believe the Feast of Tabernacles at that time will be to honor Christ coming again after the FINAL tribulation events are over, such as in Ezekial-39:12, but its just my opinion and i just dont think it could be that easy to predict exactly when Christ will come again, such as at a major Feast/event, and some even think it will be at Passover, but to narrow it down to a specific day or week just seems to be a bit too easy imo.
  10. I dont think it was just a coincidence that this "vision" was in 1968, because there was the 1967 6 day war, 1969 and Woodstock, and 1970 being the start of the Age of Aquarius(also year i was born). But i have always wondered just how that '67 war ties in with modern day prophetic events. Seems like it has always been overlooked for some reason when it very well could have been a harbinger or foreshadowing of things to come?
  11. And what about Zechariah-14:16 and the feast of Tabernacles...is that date a tribute to Christs 2nd coming or something else?
  12. All I can really say for sure about this subject is that if you are one who believes that almost every mental illness is related to and caused by some human or natural disorder/abnormality, then I would say that maybe you are just not wanting to deal with something or not trusting that God can completely heal you and anyone else who believes from such a condition. Or maybe it's just that you simply put way too much trust and faith in the health/medical industry as a whole...which is just not that healthy(pun intended).
  13. A lot of good answers here and I'm actually pleasantly surprised not to see one of those DAYS=YEARS comments, which I never bought into but I get it that some people are just trying to come up with an answer. I won't go into detail about my own views about this but its related to the 5 months of Revelation 9:5 and the 150 days of Genesis 7:24. "As in the days of Noah..." as Christ said. And 75 days is 1/2 of 150 but what about the other half? Some people think those days will be shortened by a whole lot more than we thought for the Elects sake. But if you're not careful you could be in violation of Revelation 22:19.
  14. I think this subject may have been discussed not long ago so hopefully this is not exactly the same topic/question. Which is that i've always known about this verse but never really gave it much thought that it was actually the 2nd to last verse in Daniel. And so that must make the 1335 days of extreme significance and something we should understand, since how can you be waiting for something that you don't even know the meaning of? And i kind of already have my own opinion about what this is possibly referring to but it's probably a more controversial one, so i'd rather just like to hear others interpretation of it. But i know it's one of those hard to discern prophecies, even for the book of Daniel, but nothing wrong with saying what you think it is talking about.
  15. This was probably asked before but not sure how recently, which is why does it only mention Jesus casting out demons/evil spirits and never says anything about him healing anyone who was simply insane or with a severe mental illness? So wouild that mean that many of the more severe conditions were/are actually initiated or influenced by evil spirits? Not to say such people werent around back then. Which leads to another question which is should we ever try laying hands on someone with such a condition or just leave them alone. Actually i think we should if given the chance but that's the problem, since im not even sure if most mental institutions or facilities simply dont allow any "clergy" members to come in and do that kind of thing?
  16. Thanks so much for those words of encouragement, but really it is me who should be giving those same words to someone else, perhaps many other people, and sadly to say i may have wasted that chance thus far, as i feel i could have helped many others in worst situations than myself...i only PRAY that God would/will give me the resources NOW to make that happen, so i can help anyone in anyway that God wanted/wants me to, period. And some may not really know or realize fully what i am talking about and that there only "duty" is to plant a seed of truth or share Gods word and promises, which is great in itself, but i believe there are others that HE is asking much more of, including myself. And i only want to do now whatever HE asks of me, as long as i can. Just pray that others here and everywhere else would answer that "call" as well...thanks.
  17. Abraham was the first person i can think of that "got out of the boat" or his comfort zone as they say. But i have also heard preachers who said its sometimes safer and wiser to stay in the boat and not take any chances or make hasty decisions. Such as when Paul and the 276 men in that storm in Acts-27, when he said unless they stayed in the boat they would all perish, but maybe thats not a good analogy? Either way i only bring this up because of a major life decision/move i need to make soon, if not right NOW? But am still really confused over what to do as if maybe God is telling me to wait a little longer but at times i feel like i have already waited too long and it's the reason i cant hear from God anymore because of disobedience? But what Abraham did was not easy at all and i know it must have taken some courage even if he did have a very clear "charge" order from God.
  18. Well actually i always liked Thyatira more than the other churches mostly because of there good works, but of course Philadelphia and Smyrna were the only ones God found no fault with. Other than that i cant really see what point you are trying to make, since there are plenty of other verses you could probably use in defense of pre-trib view, if that is what you're doing?
  19. Well i could tell you, but i'm not going to...have a nice day anyway.
  20. Well this may be a first for me as far as responding to a topic with already so many replies, since i never want to come across as that kind of person that says HERE IS WHAT I HAVE TO SAY in spite of what already has been said and made very clear, but at the the same time i just felt like i had to throw this thought out there...which is that the phrase "any moment rapture" or any variation of that is not found anywhere in the Bible, and while i am not one of those who poo-poos on the word Rapture simply because it is not written even though HARPAZO is(which is something someone else may want to discuss)...i am still open to the idea of maybe a mid-trib event, but in no way am open to us/Christians being "taken" and then an entire 7 year period after that, which to me isnt even open for discussion, and i dont want to sound like a knowitall but will at least say right here and now that i'm 110% sure that it will NOT happen that way, period.
  21. I think i may have already asked this question here on this forum at some point but cant remember? Anyway it is about the meaning of Revelation-11:10..."And those who dwell on the earth will REJOICE over them and make MERRY, and send gifts to one another..." So could this be referring to Christmas "season" when this is all happening?
  22. Hmmm...well the main thing i took from this was that Christ return is at the 5th trump, right in the middle...am i interpreting it right as to how you/it was intending it to be? I.E.-a midtrib rapture maybe...?
  23. Well first off i guess should apologize for no one here giving any reply, but there could be other factors interfering with that, IDK? Anyway i am only trying to give a response while my computer is working right, since it has been going in and out, and i can hardly type anything anymore without some side-ad coming up as if ihad "clicked" on that, and then i have to X it out and start again. But maybe that is a common occurence here as far as ADS go, but either way i am open to being a personal prayer "partner", since i am very controversial by nature, and if i see things done a certain way without any alternatives, then i am one who steps..with the name of CHRIST YESHUA c0ming first, of course. Either way justn curious as to why uyour posy/question had not gotten any responses yet, but maybe it's none ofmy business...but just checking in case your posting was being ignored, which it shouldnt be...?
  24. Seems to me like everything on this forum is without rhyme or reason, so what's your point exactly...or what is MINE for that matter?? I might as well just go back to Youtube and watch some more dumbass videos if this is all i will get out of the prophecy posts on this so-called "christian" forum...?
  25. At this point does it really even matter, and yeah i'm the one who brought it up to begin with so you can question me for even doing so...but to be completely honest i really don't even care anymore since there will always be the filthy rich who are justified and the filthy poor who are vilified, and that's just the way it is, as Bruce Hornsby so eloquently put it...and not really even a fan of his but i do respect anyone who speaks the truth every now and then, and even those who just think and/or pretend they are...
