A lot of Christians do say they are waiting on the Lord for one thing or the other. That's actually good and what the scripture tells us to do.
Isaiah 40:31 King James Version (KJV)
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
We wait on the Lord for renewal of strength and provisions to take our lives further to the glory of his name. Oftentimes, we fast and pray when we say we are waiting on the Lord.
However, it is pertinent to know that although waiting on the Lord is a good decision to make, some belivers don't pay attention to THE ATTITUDE THEY PUT ON WHILE THEY WAIT. This is not good enough, because our disposition when we wait on the Lord is really what brings us whatever we seek from him.
Therefore, it is not enough only to wait on the Lord, our attitude while waiting is more substantial to the Lord while we wait. Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and we still murmuring against him? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and we do not seek him deligently? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and all that beclouds our heart is a man or woman that we think will help us? Do we still say we are waiting on Him, and we do not fellowship with the Holy Spirit? Do we say we are waiting on the Lord and it looks as if we do not even have faith anymore for answered prayers? I can say on and on.
I wish you could hear God say it was your attitude that's not made him show up. You would have to repent, You would need to seek help and understand what God really wants you to do whenever you wait on him.
