  1. Joe, sorry for not being clear. Jerusalem will be destroyed by the “people” who will be subjected to this “prince who is to come.” The “people” of Rome (pagan Roman army) under Titus will destroy Jerusalem in 70 AD. These same people that fall under pagan Rome will also find themselves to fall under this “prince who is to come.” When pagan Rome is destroyed, it will be replaced by papal Rome who is headed by the “little horn” (this prince). Jerusalem is completely destroyed in 70 AD. Then, pagan Rome will begin its decline until it is no more around 467 AD. But during the slow decline of pagan Rome, the Christian church is growing exponentially and becomes a very powerful entity in the Roman Empire. When pagan Rome is dissolved the Christian church will replace it and these “people” will now serve under this “prince” who had come to full power over the church (the little horn is now sitting atop the 4th beast kingdom). Hope this is somewhat clearer.
  2. Joe, it is a very strong statement. Remember, approximately 2600 years earlier at the time of Daniel, God, who had given His people so many chances to repent from their disobedience and idolatry, had finally had enough and sent them into captivity in Babylon for 70 years. AND God also punished His people by allowing the Babylonians to COMPLETELY destroy His Temple, the walls and streets of Jerusalem and take away the holy vessels. EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AT THAT TIME. Fast forward these 2600 years and we find, not just His people disobeying Him, BUT here they LITERALLY REJECT HIM AND CRUCIFY HIM!!! Don’t you think their actions and decisions to reject and crucify their Messiah was SO MUCH GREATER THAN ANYTHING THEY COULD HAVE DONE? What could they have done against God that could be a greater sin or transgression? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! No sin or transgression could ever be as great as this… consequently, this level of punishment would far surpass that which was done to His people in 606 BC. As a direct result of their rejection AND His crucifixion God would remove His presence from His people. They would no longer have access to Him. Now, you also realize that this “desolation” He would impose on His people for the next 2000 years (until the times of the Gentiles is finished), is imposed only on those Jews who would CONTINUE to reject Him after the Cross. Obviously, Paul, John, even Peter and ALL the Jews who would accept Jesus (after the Cross) would NOT be “made desolate” (Pentecost), so unless they accepted Jesus as their Messiah, He would turn from them. But as the say, “God will NEVER abandon His people.” He will once again restore the sight of those who rejected Him and they will be heard saying, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord… “
  3. As you know, the word “prince” is used in Daniel a few times and they do not represent the same person. The “people” of the “prince to come”are those who will destroy the Temple and murder the Jews in 70 AD. They are within the pagan Roman Empire after the cross when the Jews rebelled against pagan Rome from 66-70 AD. But the “prince to come” is the one who comes out of pagan Rome (the 4th beast kingdom) in the future. He will not become this “prince” over the “people of pagan Rome” until pagan Rome is destroyed and its body is slain (chapter 7). In chapter 7, the “little horn” is first found to come out of this 4th beast kingdom but only after the 10 horns come out of the 4th beast kingdom. He follows right behind these 10 horns for the next 400 years. By the time pagan Rome is destroyed around 467 AD, the little horn has amassed great power over the Christian church. Soon, the 10 horns AND the little horn will be found to “sit atop” the 4th beast kingdom, meaning they will have come to full power and rule over both church and state. Michael is indeed referred to in Daniel as one of the “chief princes,” and there is two other “princes” (Persia and Greece) mentioned later in Daniel. However, none of these refer to a “prince” that would come to rule over the “literal people” who would destroy Israel. The one, Gabriel is obviously an angel of God while the other two are followers of Satan.
  4. I understand that many have sent the last week far into the still future but there is no basis for it. The last week of the 70 was set aside for the Messiah to fulfill His God given mission ((9:24). Also, He was baptized and anointed by God on the first day of that last week. His ministry began that day and He was crucified within the 3.5 years of the final week. He “confirmed” the New Covenant at the Cross DURING (not for) the last 7 years of the prophecy. These are messianic prophecies and speak about the most important event in man’s history. Daniel written to the Jews to / prophesied about THEIR RESTORATION back from Babylon AND the coming Messiah-ALL TO TAKE OFF PLACE WITHIN THEIR HE 70 weeks of years prophecy. There is NO 7 year tribulation- this is where the 7 years comes from - there is NO 7 year covenant that will come in the future by a mythical anti-Christ figure. These are intentional misinterpretations from the 16th century church designed to try and remove the label of the “little horn” away from the papacy. Look at how perfect these verses fit the actual events that took place DURING the last week (7 years) of the time Jesus was on the earth!
  5. Very nice! You are indeed correct. The Messiah arrived exactly in time: He was baptized by John and anointed by His Father on the very first day of the 70th week of the 70 weeks of years prophecy. ALL of the physical elements (Temple, walls, streets, Sanctuary, etc., and ALL of the elements relating to the Levitical ceremonies, including the Sabbatical cycles, etc., HAD TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE the Messiah could arrive in the last week of the prophecy. The 490 years was a period of complete restoration for the Jews and His city. Consequently, God would ensure that everything that was destroyed by the Babylonians was fully restored in the reverse order they were taken away. This is why everything had to be restored before He arrived- Jesus would represent the first piece of furniture taken away by Jeremiah- the Ark of the Covenant. Now, Jesus would be the last piece of furniture to be restored in that He would restore the presence of God back in the Sanctuary (He would be the “Ark of the Covenant”) restored. Now, God had specifically “set aside” the last week of the 70 for His Messiah to fulfill His God given mission (9:24). So, the “he” in 9:27 years s indeed no other that Jesus, and He would confirm the Covenant identified in Jeremiah 31:31-34, AND, He would fulfill or complete this assignment DURING (not for) the last week or the last 7 years of the prophecy. His death would remove or do away with the need for having any further animal sacrifices or offerings. This would be accomplished in the “midst of the week” (crucified exactly 3.5 years INTO THIS FINAL 7 year period). One of the most important misinterpretations is also found within these TRULY MESSIANIC verses: the “Abomination that causes desolation.” This term refers to the “cross.” It was such a horrific and “abominable” act that was done to THEIR Messiah. It was the Jews rejection and His crucifixion that defines the “Abomination that would CAUSE the complete desolation of the Jews from their God. There is no act that could rise to a greater evil or level than their rejection and murder of their Messiah. And there is no greater punishment than for God to make “desolate” His relationship and THEIR ability to have access to THEIR GOD for the coming 2000 years. God would remove or make “desolate” His presence from His people. BUT, there is GOOD NEWS for God will NEVER abandon His people!! After the time of the Gentile had come to an end, God will remove the blindness from the eyes of His people (it will be like the e experience that Paul had), and they will recognize the One they had pierced. When this occurs, His people will go out into the world for exactly 3.5 years and preach the Word of God AND the Testimony of Jesus. This will do two things: after 3.5 years, it will bring in the second coming (Jesus can not return BEFORE His people complete THIS / THEIR FINAL ASSIGNMENT. The second thing also relates to this action by the Jews. The 70 weeks of years prophecy was COMPLETELY FULFILLED BY BOTH PARTIES DURING THE TIME OF THE MESSIAH. Jesus fulfilled ALL 6 requirements in 9:24 (spiritual requirements), and the Jews fulfilled ALL their requirements BEFORE the first day of the 70th week. But, because they rejected their Messiah exactly 3.5 years of the remaining 490 years (also the last week was shorted by these last 3.5 years). The 4th and final Great Jubilee could not be finished. This FINAL Great Jubilee was ALSO SCHEDULED to be completed at the end of the last week of the 490 year prophecy. Consequently, it MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE MESSIAH CAN RETURN. And this is a requirement OF THE JEWS, not God! And this is the manner that God had designed at the end time for His people to once again return to Him and complete the time requirement (3.5 years) remaining for the 4th and final Great Jubilee. Long way of answering your question, but Jesus will and can not return UNTIL HE RESTORES THEIR SIGHT and they recognize He was their Messiah and they preach for 3.5 years. By the way, the “people” of the prince to come represent the Roman people headed by Titus in 70 AD when they will destroy everything. The “prince who is to come” is the “little horn” of Daniel 7 and 8 who will come to full power AFTER pagan Rome (4th beast kingdom) is slain and its body is destroyed (chapter 7). Then the little horn (papacy) will replace pagan Rome and he “papacy” will appropriate His church and the “state” after pagan Rome and “will continue” until he is destroyed without human hands.
  6. In chapter 2 the 4th kingdom is described as the iron legs and feet WITH some clay found within it. Then in chapter 7, not only do we see a different set of symbols for those same 4 kingdoms, but there has been some very significant changes that have taken place WITHIN THE 4th kingdom: 1) The 4th beast kingdom is now described as an “indescribable” animal, 2) A second transition or change to the chapter 2 4th kingdom is that there are 10 horns COMING OUT OF THE 4th kingdom, 3) A third transition or change to the chapter 2 4th kingdom is there is a “little horn” that has also come out of the 4th kingdom BUT it comes out AFTER the 10 horns, 4) What had caused these changes from chapter 2 to chapter 7? All 4 of the chapter 2 kingdoms have been given new symbols which reveal new attributes or characteristics for each, BUT the only kingdom that had been “broken apart” into these 3 separate sections is the 4th kingdom, a) this is a direct result of the effect that 2:34 had on the 4th kingdom (only). The Stone (the Messiah) would only arrive in the early part of the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome. The Stone would strike the “feet”(not the toes) and break apart (not destroy) the iron feet (only- not the entire image). Despite everyone’s beliefs, 2:34 reflects Jesus striking the feet ONLY and separating or breaking apart the different elements found in the chapter 2 4th kingdom. b) There were 3 components of the chapter 2 4th kingdom: the iron legs and feet that represented pagan Rome, the clay that was kept or held WITHIN the iron kingdom. The clay represented His people (the Jews that were essentially held captive within the 4th kingdom), and the 10 toes, that were also kept within the 4th kingdom BUT were somewhat autonomous- just like our toes are attached to our feet and can not be removed, these toes would also have some level of freedom or separateness from the feet. c) At the time of the Messiah, the Jews expected their Messiah to arrive and conquer Rome and free His people and set up His earthly kingdom— like a King David like Messiah. But Jesus did not come to wage war or destroy but “to divide.” This is the important part of 2:34. It is not an end time event as is 2:35, but represents this “dividing” of the “feet” (components only) into these 3 separate elements now described in chapter 7. 5) Consquently, as a result of this “dividing” of these 3 elements (the Cross), God would be able to select the “clay” that were found in the chapter 2 feet that would accept Him as their Messiah and go out into the Roman Empire to preach the Goid News. They would be described in verses 2:41-43 ad “pottery clay.” This Jews who would continue to reject Him even after His resurrection would be described as “ceramic” clay in these same verses because the “Potter” (God) could not use them to preach the Good News to the world- they were “too hardened” in their ways and thinking and would continue in their pre-cross Jewish faith. 6) So, these events in chapter 2 are ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to get right. Unless 2:34 and verses 2:41-43 as well as recognizing these major changes that would be described in chapter 7, most of Daniel will have its interpretations thrown far into the future and treated as “end time” events. AND THIS IS WHERE MOST OF TODAY’S SCHOLARLY, ACADEMICS AND THEOLOGIANS HAVE SENT THEIR INTERPRETATIONS. They do not have a chance of interpreting Daniel correctly. Most of Daniel is prophesying about His people and THEIR restoration to Jerusalem along with their pre-Babylonian way of life AND the coming Messiah- NOT END TIME EVENTS. 7) Once chapter 2 is properly interpreted, it will be clear to see that: a) since the “clay” and the “10 toes” were WITHIN THE IRON FEET OF THE 4th kingdom of pagan Rome BEFORE THE STONE (Messiah) struck the feet (cross), it means the “10 toes or 10 horns” in chapter 7, AND the little horn who also came out of the 4th kingdom beast in chapter 7 (but AFTER the 10 horns), WERE ALREADY IN EXISTENCE BEFORE THE CROSS. 1) Meaning, the 10 toes in chapter 2, which are also described as the 10 horns in chapter 7 and the 10 kings in chapter 7, WERE IN EXISTENCE BEFORE THE CROSS and CAN NOT REPRESENT 10 kings that would come in the future (at ANYTIME IN THE FUTURE). They were BEFORE AND AFTER THE CROSS. 8) Once the above is understood, then it will very clear how MOST of the verses found in the Hebrew chapters in Daniel speak, NOT ABOUT END TIMES AT ALL, but mostly about the time of the Messiah. So, regarding your earlier question as whether I could provide ANY scholars, academics or talented theologians that have offered this theory or set of interpretations, the answer is unequivocally NO- because they believe most of Daniel is end time prophecy (and it starts with 2:34). And it is no surprise that ALMOST all folks who have an interest in Daniel have or will read THEIR FUTURIST LIKE INTERPRETATIONS and consider them “gospel.” If anyone were to take each verse found in chapters 2,7,8,9 10,11 and 12, and try to provide their interpretations THAT DO NOT CONFLICT WITH EACH OTHER AND SPEAK AS ONE COMPLETE AND SEAMLESS PROPHECY ABOUT THE JEWS RESTORATION, THE 70 WEEKS PROPHECY, THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH (first advent), THE ARRIVAL OF THE LITTLE HORN WHI CAME OUT OF THE EARLY CHURCH (Gentiles), they would find that only God could weave such a wonderful story together. Today’s “accepted interpretations” can not do this… there are missing or unaddressed verses that can not or have not been interpreted, there are so many interpretations that are inconsistent with each other, there are many single verse plucked out of the NT and OT that PURPORT to fill in those missing interpretations in Daniel. And the most egregious error that ALL COMMENTATORS have made is they have failed to look for the Messiah in these verses. This is just a small example aid the more that 35 to 50 NEW AND VERY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS found in my commentary… it will take time for them to move through this very well constructed wall of interpretations based on their “end times” theories.
  7. @Jonathan Dane If you would like me too send you an author’s copy of the “New Interpretations of the Book of Daniel” at no cost to you, please send me a PM with your contact (mailing) information and I will have it sent to you directly from Amazon.
  8. Of course I can’t! As I have mentioned at least a million times, approximately 99 % of today’s accepted interpretations of Daniel (not just this particular topic) follow the 7 year tribulation or gap theory and ALSO place MOST OF DANIEL AS END TIME EVENTS. I spent the last 5 years learning what are “today’s accepted interpretations” for the 12 chapters in Daniel since I knew NOTHING of Daniel and was instructed to learn Daniel if I wanted to understand Revelation. I never read Daniel prior to that. After realizing that there were largely two major camps on Daniel -(even though I don’t use labels since there is hardly ANY consistency within ANY IF THE TWO LABELS), some might call them “preterist,” while the polar opposite camp might be identified as “futuristis.” Again, regardless of either side of the fence the “scholars or academics or theologians” resided, there was ABSOLUTELY NO CONSISTENCY OR CONSENSUS AMONG THEM. Not only that, but each camp left MANY verses within Daniel uninterrupted or unaddressed and their interpretations / findings in the later chapters of Daniel were in conflict with the earlier interpretations of Daniel. Both camps are a mess and NEITHER CAMP FOCUSES ON THE TRUE SUBJECT OF DANIEL- The coming Messiah and His plan of Sal and restoration. Instead, both camps focus on the “secular” interpretations - whether it is Antiochus for the preterists or some mythical anti-Christ figure in the future. Some even make a living at generating their own story of the end times with characters like Trump, or the EU, or Islam etc. Consequently, I studied Daniel for those 5 years with the two overriding principles: 1) this is not a series of interpretations that will follow OUR VERY FLAWED HISTORY BOOKS. Instead, these are God’s prophecies about His first coming and His plan of salvation for mankind. (Not about the 4 kingdoms). 2) Look for the Messiah within these prophecies - Daniel is being given to us to reveal His first coming. In order for you or anyone to appreciate these truly new interpretations, one MUST BEGIN IN CHAPTER 2 - which is God’s blueprint for the 4 kingdoms and how He has given us His borders and boundaries found within chapter 2 to insure our interpretations in the later chapters of Daniel stay within these 4 kingdoms and their periods.
  9. Again, the book of Daniel is all about the coming Messiah and His plan of restoration for His people AND His plan of salvation for all mankind. He is NOT describing the “end times” but the times from 606 BC to (largely) the end of the 70 weeks of years prophecy. The 4 kingdoms, the different visions and the prophecies all speak WITHIN these years. Tell me, as I mentioned, it appears your interpretations count on the AOD BEING AN END TIME PROPHECY. But you have to be able to identify what it is and why! This is what almost all of today’s accepted interpretations rely on - they have yet to happen so we really can only guess what they are… But the overriding issue is that Daniel was written for HIS PEOPLE AND HIS CITY. It would affect / impact/ be so relevant to them as they were to make their journey back from the Babylonian captivity. Only the last few verses in chapter 21 and all of chapter 12 speak (broadly) of the end times (from when the little horn appropriated His earthly church around 500 AD to His return). Meaning, the AOD IS NOT AN END TIME EVENT BUT IT OCCURRED WITHIN THE LAST WEEK OF THE 70 WEEKS OF YEARS PROPHECY. WHO or what and why is your identification of the AOD? It is at the center of all your end time interactions?
  10. The “people” of the prince to come represent the people of pagan Rome. These “people” will be those that fall under Titus and destroy Israel in 70 AD. The “prince who is to come” is the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8. At the time of the total destruction of Israel in 70 AD, this “little horn” was found to be coming out of the 4th beast kingdom ON THE HEELS OF THE 10 horns. Meaning, they were at the bottom of the growing church. They represented those Gentiles that would come to accept Jesus as their Lird and Savior (only some 400 years later, this same church would be taken over by these Gentiles. When the power struggle ended between the 4 major Christian centers (after the demise of Imperial Rome), those being Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria and Rome, the bishop of Rome would win the thrown. Soon to be identified as the papacy (little horn). So yes, there clearly is a time difference of some 400 years from the beginning of the church AFTER THE CROSS, to the time when papal Rome would come to full power. The “people” of the coming prince were still under pagan Rome at 70 AD… but that would change when papal Rome took the reigns.
  11. I would ask that you take a strong look at Daniel 7 and 8 to identify the little horn who will go against God His church, His people, His saints and His 10 Commandments. It also tells us he will continue until the end of time and be destroyed without human hands. There is NO anti-Christ literal person. But God had indeed revealed the evil one - the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8.
  12. That has nothing to do with the prophecies in Daniel. Each of the 4 kingdoms were described in certain ways in 3 separate chapters- 2,7 and 8. Thus, the prophecies were to take place WITHIN these 4 kingdoms. The book of Daniel is NOT about the kings or kingdoms of the 4 kingdoms. They are being used by God as His people travel through these kingdoms. The majority of His prophecies take place from 606 BC (beginning of the Babylonian captivity) to the end of the 70 weeks of years prophecy which would end in 33/34 AD- exactly 3.5 years after the cross. Daniel is about the restoration of His people and His city back to Jerusalem. At the end of the 69th week of the 70 weeks of years prophecy, the Messiah would be baptized by John and anointed by His Father in the Jordan. This would symbolically serve as the final piece of furniture to be restored after their destruction by the Babylonians. Daniel is about the coming Messiah (His first advent) and the their rejection of their Messiah and the start of His church.
  13. Ok, now I see how you are connecting these verses. But, just for my understanding, why is the AOD, which, unless I misunderstood your response, takes place at the end of time Isn’t the AOD at the center of your interpretations for these verses? Thanks.
  14. Ok, so you brought up the Olivet Discourse and you are “apparently” equating some verses in the “Discourse” that speak to some verses in “Daniel” THUS, your claim they are both end time events. Ok, now if you don’t mind, what verses in the Discourse are essentially the same in Daniel and demonstrate they are BOTH end time events? We can take them one at a time to ensure we focus on each one before we move on to the next.
  15. I believe that comment was in response to YOUR statement about the Olivet Discourse. I have been consistently speaking about Daniel. I certainly did not bring in Olivet- please explain what you meant …
  16. First, I never brought in the Olivet Discourse. But what I am saying the events in Daniel are NOT end time events. So, if you would like to tell me what events in the Olivet Discourse I am saying are NOT end time events because you believe I am declaring them to take place in the 4th kingdom, please let me know them and I am sure we can reconcile them.
  17. Oh, I think I see and I apologize for not understanding your meaning. Let me try and respond with a very different interpretation of the verses you are referring to. 1) the he-goat horn who is “very great” is Alexander. The 4 generals WILL be given the 4 territories from his kingdom after his death. BUT they are NOT EVER identified as “HORNS.” They are identified as “4 notable ones.” This is why God purposefully selected “horns” to identity and separate the identity of the remaining “powers” that would continue within His plan of salvation and restoration. God is not following OUR history books. He has given us the 4 and only 4 kingdoms that will be established WITHIN HIS PLAN OF RESTORATION / SALVATION. Further, His chapter 2 identification of the 4 kingdoms reflects His “ blueprint” of the 4 kingdoms that will never change. In chapter 2, He gives us the borders and boundaries, the restrictions and guidelines for each of the 4 to ensure they are fixed, and all the coming prophecies found in the later chapters of Daniel, despite using different symbols, will never be interpreted OUTSIDE these 4 kingdoms. It also tells us that there is NO bleeding over or between any of the 4 kingdoms. And this is so important since most commentators do not treat the 4 generals as STAYING WITHIN THE 3rd kingdom. But they do or should not be a we also see them as the 4 heads on the leopard in chapter 8 (3rd kingdom). The 4 generals (period which may have continued another 20 / 30 years or so) will be replaced by the last or final “little horn.” He will clearly come OUT OF THE 4th kingdom- not the 3rd. So the 4th beast kingdom will arrive around 63BC (Imperial Rome) and be in perfect position for many of the earlier prophecies: 1) the coming end of the 70 weeks of years prophecy in 33/34 AD, 2) The end of the 4th and final Great Tribulation in 33/34 AD (although it still has 3.5 years to be completed), 3) The arrival of the Messiah at the beginning of the 70th week of the prophecy, 4) the complete restoration of His people and His city at the 70th week of years prophecy. The most important events in the history of mankind, the arrival of Jesus and His crucifixion is all captured within the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome. These prophecies are not end time prophecies.
  18. These events take place from 606 BC to approximately 500 AD (when the little horn comes to full power) - not in 1 generation. The first 3 kingdoms cover from 606 BC to the end of Greece (3rd kingdom) — assuming Greece began around 330, Alexander ruled for 13 years and then his 4 general ruled their territories for another 20 years brings us to around (300 BC) then the 4th kingdom of Imperial Rome began around 63BC. The 4th beast kingdom will continue from 63 BC to its demise in 467 AD, when “it will be slain and its body is destroyed,” (7:11).
  19. I don’t see why the Olivet discourse demands these events are “end times.” God has been quite specific in His use of symbols, timing and the literal events in Daniel. The book of Daniel was written FOR THE JEWS AND HIS CITY and the major theme is His plan of restoration for them AFTER the Babylonian destruction. He is revealing His plan of restoration beginning with THEIR CAPTIVITY in 606 BC, and “largely” ending in 33/34 AD, which is the last week of the prophecy. This is when Jesus is crucified. This “restoration” period is literal not metaphorical.
  20. I do not understand why this would give you the basis to conclude any of the 4 kingdoms are metaphorical. God DID specifically identify the first 3 kingdoms - literal kingdoms. Each of the chapters build of the other and confirm the kingdoms in the image. Even in verses 11:1-4 Daniel confirms the 2nd and 3rd kingdoms BEFORE he discusses the 4th kingdom and ALL the events that will take place from the time of the cross to the actions of the “little horn around 500 AD. Certainly, the true end times are mentioned in the last part of chapter 11 and chapter 12, but Daniel is largely speaking of the 70 weeks of years prophecy - when the Messiah will arrive at the beginning of the 70th week to fulfill His God given mission (9:24). Look forward to your thoughts on this.
  21. I have never heard anyone interpret the 4 kingdoms as a metaphor. God purposely identified the 4 and only 4 kingdoms that will come out of the earth or the sea (chapter 7). He established the 4 in chapter 2, and provided another set of symbols in chapter 7 (leopard with 4 wings for speed and the 4 heads to reflect his 4 generals). In chapter 8, God will use another set of symbols to reveal the activities found in His prophecies… and remember, these are taking place WITHIN the 70 weeks of years prophecy of chapter 9. But in chapter 8 God will identify the 3 major actors at the “king or power” level - no longer at the kingdom level. In chapter 8 there are 3 specific actors mentioned: the 2 “horns or powers” are Darius and Cyrus of the Medes- Persians. The next single horned animal is a one horned he-goat or Alexander, while the “little horn” is the coming “prince of the people who would destroy Israel in 70 AD (the papacy). God will also “tag” a very important meaning to each of these 3 actors: found in 8:4, 8:8 and 8:9. The 2 horned ram would be “great,” the 1 horned he-goat would be “very great,” and the last actor- the “little horn” would be “exceedingly great.” None, imo, of the 4 beast kingdoms are metaphors but reflect the literal 4 kingdoms or powers from 606 BC to the end of time.
  22. Luigi, doesn’t Alexander conquer the Persians, and when he is 33 years old he dies and his kingdom is split into 4 (to his 4 generals)? Doesn’t Gabriel tell us in 8:21 this kingdom is Greece? Isn’t the “he goat” Alexander?
  23. Wow! That is more than I expected, and thanks!!!! I would like to run through this tomorrow… just to get an idea of these verses.. thanks again, and I will get back to you, Charlie
