Yeah, I can't imagine they would be considered a "national treasure" of the Armenian people.

Not too far off, actually. Many feel they could be from another planet.

Obama took it to another level by jumping on Twitter. Kind of idiotic if you ask me, though Trump tends to use it to his favor. For someone his age to become a master at social media takes quite a bit of moxxy

Kanye's Mothers-in-law (Kris and Caitlin) would have made the White House into a reality show.

Rosaries, Prayer Ropes, and Beads Oh My?!
Knotical replied to Fidei Defensor's topic in Do you want to just ask a question?
Though, our church leaders do not allow symbols within the sanctuary they really don't say anything should we have them on our persons, in our vehicles, or in our homes. Though, I can't imagine any of our members would have a picture of Jesus at home, however, they could have a cross or two here or there. -
Publicity stunt, or shameless cry for attention? Or are those actually the same thing?

Something interesting to unpack, really. The commandment states: "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth." In some Christian circles that could include any depiction of Christ as well. The church I attend currently does not have any specific symbols in the sanctuary. -
With the changes that have occurred during the current plandemic will we be seeing more and more people homeschooling their children? Of course there are some people who will not be able to stay at home during the day once things, hopefully, open back up for good, but with everything that has been experienced lately will we see more and more kids being taken out of public schools? This could certainly cause a boom in the private tutor landscape. Obviously, there will also be more online classes being taken, but there is something to be said for in person learning. Tutoring will allow more kids to get some more specialized interaction with educators that they really haven't had in the past. This may cause municipalities to reconsider how much they are taking in property taxes if kids are not going to public schools anymore, which means parents could have more funds to pay for private tutors.

Ok, who had about a week on the "When will Kanye West drop out of the presidential race, pool."? Honestly, he had a snowball's chance to gain any kind of traction in this race. After alienating most of his fanbase when he announced he became a Christian, and really didn't endear himself to evangelicals with his bazaar music, I don't see that he had much of a following.

Starting with the Lord's prayer as a guide as long as you are seeking God's will and asking for all things in Christ's name there really is nothing else to consider.

Of course it should be considered that even though someone may have lived a sinful life in the past they are able to be forgiving, by God and man. However, some additional due diligence should be considered when considering calling a man with a history of either drug/alcohol use, domestic violence, or adultery. Basically, it possible for some people to change, especially with God's help, but we all know there has to be some trust built up.

Don't do it. Even when it comes to panhandlers, I will always just give through my church. They have already vetted the organizations they donate to so there is no worry about making sure the funds are going to the right people. Always be skeptical of anyone asking you for money online.

Without diving into the whole copyright debate I will tell you that if you are able to copy the music that you have onto a computer you can then physically make as many copies as you wish. I personally would not put them on other CD's as that is kind of becoming obsolete. Something else to consider is a streaming platform like Spotify. If you can find the music you normally listen to on there you won't have to make copies of your music collection. Legally speaking, you can pretty much do whatever you want with what you have as long as you are not looking to distribute the copies you are making, or charge people to listen to it (like a DJ at a party). Then you will run into pirating issues that can get you into legal trouble.

On the one hand if it is being used to focus the mind on what and how to pray to God, it may be a good thing. On the other hand it could fall under violating one of the commandments. It could be used as an idol, as can the crucifix, or any image of Christ. I would err on the side of caution and not use anything. If you have trouble knowing what to pray just write down your thoughts then let God lead you from there. -
Too bad that usually ends up being the smaller group.

There are still denominations, mine included, that focus on meat-and-potato style preaching. I see a purpose for both, even though I do subscribe to the calvinistic idea that God calls His followers to Himself instead of the idea that we just lay down a blanket and just see who we get. I have seen those who have "answered the altar call" ultimately become a Christian, dive into the word, realize they aren't being fed spiritually at their mega-church and go looking for a church where they will be fed. That is where the more conservative denominations have their niche. Too bad we allow unbiblical ideals to creep in (woman elders/deacons/pastors, homosexual leaders, etc...) and suddenly we have more divisions in the church. The denomination I grew up in split over the women issue.

Yeah, but its easier for people to get together if they know where to go.

A question that LDS, Mormons will not answer
Knotical replied to Daniel Marsh's topic in Everything Else
Because it is all false. No one from the "Western world" made it over here until at least the end of the first Millennium AD. The mormon religion is based on lies and fraud. Don't trust anything they say. There have been people on these continents for likely thousands of years, but those people came over through Asia and down from Alaska and Canada. They ultimately filtered down through the US, Central America, and finally into South America. Which is where some of them embarked on sea voyages and ended up populating many of the islands in the pacific. Of course some of those people could have also come via the other direction, such as Indonesia and Southeast Asia.- 1 reply

I have never taken a flu shot, and have only mild cases of colds and the flu since I had my tonsils taken out in grade school. The only trial of the covid vaccine that I have heard of was done in africa and all the children died they gave it to.

So what is wrong with me? Zero motivation

Sounds like you need a hobby, or at least join a group that will take your mind off of work for a while on your days off. -
Just to clear something up, the term "Jew" is actually stemming from only one tribe. The tribe of Judah. However, many people associate the entire nation of ancient Israel, incorrectly, to being Jewish. The term "Jew" doesn't even start to appear until the New Testament.

With the track record of the pharmaceutical companies and other vaccines, I would not volunteer to get this one either.

If the vaccine they are currently tried to rush through is anything like the trials they used in Africa, then Bill Gates and his ilk can go first in getting the vaccines. Personally, I will allow my immune system and other natural methods fight illnesses as they come, as God intended after the fall.
