Matthew 10:16 (NKJV) “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." Matthew 7:6 (NKJV) “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces." Matthew 10:14 (NKJV) "And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet."

I have been struggling with this and seeking clarity. Not all can or will be saved. Do we "cast our pearls before swine" or do we "wipe the dust from our feet" and seek out those who are willing to hear and listen? Yes, we are to show love and kindness to all and to walk humbly in this world. Yet not everyone is worthy of our love, our time and our prayers and I believe the Holy Spirit will reveal to us and help us discern those who are not blind and hardened. Especially in this day and age of wickedness. We are to be wise in this evil world. John 12:40 - He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them. Isaiah 6:9-12 - And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered: “Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate, The Lord has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land." Matthew 10:16 - “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

This scripture in 2 Peter 3 tells us the Lord is not willing that any should perish. He wants all to repent and come to him. 2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Then in John 12 we are told that he has blinded their eyes and harden hearts so that they cannot understand and turn to him for healing. John 12:40 - He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them. Please help me resolve this dilemma when I hear others say that he wants to save every single person. All people. The verse in John tells me that all will not and cannot be save when they turn their backs on him. I know that he wants to but I also know he will not be able to since the free will of man comes into play. I hope someone can help me understand how all can come to him and be saved yet some are blinded and hardened and will not. How do I respond to those who say the Lord wants to save everyone? How do I tell them the Lord has blinded and hardened their loved one? Isaiah 6:9-12 And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered: “Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate, The Lord has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.'

Well, Eve did have a conversation with a snake. Most of us girls run from snakes at the get-go. Then we have King Solomon with his many, many woes in Ecclesiastes . The man with 900 wives. We all know the scripture, "Jesus wept". But I am positive there was a time that he also laughed, it just did not get written down. There's no way he lived with a bunch of misfit human beings and did not chuckle.

So what do we do with professing Christians who are living in fear and causing others to fear? It's almost an epidemic in itself today. How do we speak the truth about what fear is doing to the spirits of those hearing nothing but fear from other brothers and sisters? In the past couple of years I have been told to stop talking and speaking warnings. I was told once that my speaking out about worldly events was judging the spiritual walk of others. Many Christians do not want to hear about end times. Is a professing Christian living daily in fear a sin?

Thanks for responding Tim. Yes, my family has laughed at me a lot in the past 40 years for my off the wall "spirit" sense. They know me and know my heart is in the right place and they do listen and the laughter is "Hey, that's mom!" in love. I'm in Oregon so that wrestle between good and evil has honestly been a battle. I have had people say that I should move but my heart and mind (Holy Spirit) keeps telling me to stay and wage the good fight. I am not a quiet little wall flower when it comes to spiritual warfare and work harder and harder on strengthening my armor. Even when I get called out for passing "judgement" calls on fearful Christian brothers and sisters I am reminded that we are all at different levels of a spiritual walk with our Lord God. He has to remind me repeatedly to take a breath, think for a few seconds or more, and respond in love not emotions. You men have an advantage that your emotions do not normally run rampant. Us girls are built differently.

Yes. Those professing Jesus Christ as savior.

“Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:1-5

Do you believe we not to speak out to fellow believers regarding sin or regarding spirituality? Is it their heart or my heart the Lord is looking at? If I am being prompted by the Spirit to speak out shouldn't I be obedient? Is it really judgement to voice an opinion or a belief? Sorry for all of the questions. I'm just trying to figure this out as best I can. I generally run my comments through my heart first, then my mind and my mouth. Once in a while it's out my mouth too fast but my heart always feeling the prick of the Holy Spirit to say something otherwise I pass on by.

For congregational teaching of the scriptures I would have to say no. Men are put in authority by the Lord to be the spiritual leaders of the church congregation and they are put in authority to be spiritual leaders of their home. If these men are in proper alignment with the Holy Spirit they are doing and teaching what the Spirit of God tells them to teach the entire congregation and also their immediate family. The Father made Adam first so that tells me that man is in first place over a woman. If he is walking with God he rightly holds this place. If he is not walking with God then the woman takes the spiritual teaching upon herself especially in the family. I do not believe there is any need for a woman to take on congregational teaching if there are Godly men who are teachers in the congregation. A word of knowledge. A song of praise. A prophesy. These are not congregational teachings of scripture. These are moves of the Holy Spirit for the edification of the entire congregation. The Holy Spirit uses whom he may. As a woman I am teaching in the way the Spirit leads me. I teach my children and my grandchildren. I teach my friends. I teach those the Lord brings into my life. I not only teach in the word of God but I teach in example. I do my best to be submissive to my husband but he allows me to speak and teach in our marriage. He knows my intellectual level is higher than his and says that is one of the reasons he married me 4o years ago. I help him learn and understand in certain ways. I am a communicator and he is not. We balance each other out. He keeps me grounded with wisdom and patience when I get all emotional as women tend to do. Ecclesiastes tells us there is a time for everything. A time to keep silence, And a time to speak. I still have much to learn and I still have much to say and I appreciate all of the Godly men who have helped me along the way!

Today I am seeking knowledge and wisdom from the Lord regarding judgement and righteous judgement. I hope the Lord will use my brothers and sisters to help me in my search for when two or more are gathered together, there he is! Jesus says in John 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Luke repeats Jesus' words in Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." In John 7, Jesus is at the Festival of the Tabernacles and tells the people "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24) In the last week I was called a judgmental Christian and told I was doing dishonor to the Lord and making all Christianity look bad. I was told that we are not to judge others, period. These are words from another Christian whom I do not know but claims Christianity as their belief. I honestly admit I could have used more wisdom in my words. I should have been much wiser in how I stated my thoughts and my opinion. Of course the subject was regarding a certain political figure who also claims Christianity and also the medical choices of other Christians. No hot topics there, right? I explained the politician does not seem to show any kind of fruit from his walk with Jesus and that in much of the Gospel's Jesus over and over preaches and teaches that his people will be known by their fruit. The fruit is those whose lives, minds, and hearts have been changed by sharing our love and knowledge of Jesus with others. By bringing them to the saving grace of Jesus. By salvation from sins by the power of the cross and the blood shed by Jesus Christ. We are known by our fruit. Matthew 7:20 'Therefore by their fruits you will know them.' There we are back in Matthew 7 the same chapter with judgement and judging. Righteous judgement of sin is allowed but should be done in grace and carefully in this world today. The Holy Spirit has told me that I could have and should have chosen better words. The other topic about medical choices was of course related to abortion and vaccines. I had stated that by the power of the Holy Spirit we are lead to make Godly choices. In Ephesians 3 Apostle Paul speaks about the mystery's revealed by the Holy Spirit. Revelation of many things can come for those who are filled with the Holy Spirit and willing to listen to him. Abortion is killing and killing is a sin. There is no wiggle room in this conversation. Deuteronomy 32:39 '‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.' From the very beginning of everything Covid I have felt the Holy Spirit saying this is evil. This is man doing something evil. This is a move of Satan. I can't explain it but everything about it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. As I have watched what men (mankind) have done to the entire population of the world I have had nothing but apprehension and suspicion. Nothing about any of it sets easy on my spirit. For 2 1/2 years my spirit has been on edge and causes me daily grief. I do not fear it as my life has been in the hands of the Lord for decades and I have zero fear of death. I have no fear for my immediate family as they also understand and listen to the Holy Spirit leading them. My fear is for others who blindly do as they are told by mankind. Do I trust mankind? I do not. Especially in this day and age of power, greed, lust, evilness and selfishness. All I see are the days of Noah repeating at a very rapid pace. Satan has escalated his plans to defeat mankind and take the souls of many. He is on the final warpath and it is so obvious to me. This what I voiced about medical choices and got called judgmental for my thoughts and opinions. Part of who I am is speaking out and not being silent about the world the Lord has placed me in. I love people and I like conversation. I love knowledge and wisdom. I love the Lord with all of my heart and soul. I love that he loves me. I share him whenever and wherever I can. I have been like this all of my life and have never heard the Lord tell me to change this part of me. I will continue to learn to chose my words with more wisdom before I speak them or type them. I suspect I will still be called judgmental by others. Praise the Lord because I feel a weight lifted off of me for this one!

Capybara The capybara or greater capybara is a giant cavy rodent native to South America. It is the largest living rodent and a member of the genus Hydrochoerus. The only other extant member is the lesser capybara. Its close relatives include guinea pigs and rock cavies, and it is more distantly related to the agouti, the chinchilla, and the nutria. - Wikipedia "Dear God - We are going to need an explanation for this one as well as the Duck-billed Platypus. Did God create evil? (A look at Isaiah 45:7)
debrakay replied to Jacob Ben Avraham's topic in Understanding Hebrew Roots
Thank you for this "O-man" as that is exactly where my thoughts were headed after I looked up the Hebrew word in the concordance and after doing a version comparison. It seems to me that when God was speaking to Isaiah in these verses he was making comparisons. Light and darkness. Peace and calamity. The translators could have use good and evil but they used peace and evil. Shalom and raraah. My spirit says to me that the Father was explaining to Isaiah that he has a purpose for everything under the sun and that as his children we are to seek and find the balance and the goodness of all that he has created. We know he never promised us a rose garden.....for now. We get that perfect garden later when we are home with him! -

This is a long time favorite scripture and for me would apply to this situation. Jesus came to save the sinner. -

There was no prostitute named Mary. This is the false claim of the RCC which they have recounted. The woman sinner in Luke 7 has no name. It is only an assumption the woman sinner was a prostitute but again there is no name. Even the sins of Mary Magdalene are unknown so we cannot accurately declare her a prostitute. -

The woman in Luke 7:36-50 has no name. This is where the RCC messed up. The Pope in the 1500's made an incorrect assumption and claimed it was Mary Magdalene. Only in John 12:3 is Mary, sister to Lazarus named. The other two verses do not have a name of the woman and the correlations are obviously different to me. There are other's who still dispute this. Prior to this verse below in Luke 7 Jesus was in the city of Nain. Luke 7:36-38 'And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. ' Then we have this incident in Bethany. Mark 14:3 'And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. ' Then we have the incident at the house of Lazarus. John 12:3 'Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. ' Mary of Magdala did have seven demons at one time but the Lord Jesus took care of them. forgiveness is wonderful! Mark 16:9 'Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. ' -

Wikipedia has a pretty good write up of the pagan priestess queen of heaven (and hell). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_of_Heaven_(antiquity) Jack Hibbs did a good teaching on this in the past couple of week. -

I recently learned all about this other Mary Queen of heaven and hell! The RCC did mother Mary no favor in associating her to this pagan priestess queen of heaven (and hell). But they are also the same men who turned Mary of Magdala into a whore and had to recount this in 1969. https://www.christianpost.com/news/biblical-myth-debunked-mary-magdalene-was-not-a-prostitute.html The RCC has been causing God a lot trouble for many many centuries. He will get his revenge one day. -
I have always been an avid reader since I learned to read. Books are a part of my life and will be until I am no longer here on earth or too old to see the words on the page. Even if that happens I will move to audio books. It makes me sad that in society today so many people would rather watch videos and listen to talking heads on a screen rather than read the written word. If I had to describe myself as a book I would say I am an "Open Book". I have a chapter on history with a lot of nostalgia, a couple of chapters on self-help with testimonies of dysfunctional family and marriage issues, a chapter on lack of obedience and learning be more obedient, a small chapter on science fiction regarding the universes, galaxies, and all of creation with many questions and few answers, another small chapter on laughter and humor, a large chapter on love and forgiveness, a large chapter on God and my walk with Him since I was 5 years old and first asked Him "why?" and He began answering me, a very sweet chapter of finding Jesus and being filled with the Holy Spirit, and an unfinished chapter of life on earth which is still being competed. There are no fictional chapters of me because I am very outspoken, upfront and truthful. Sometimes far too much of these 3 things. The Lord is still working on me regarding the wisdom and knowledge chapters. In my time here on Worthy I have found so many different people with so many different stories that have formulated them into the book that they are. Many are walking medical encyclopedias. Many are huge volumes of intellect. Many are encouragement books and scripture reference books. I have even found some comic books here. We are a huge library filled with many different kinds of books! I hope you will take a few minutes to tell us what kind of book you are? It may help us to read you better.
