  1. I posted one here a few post up, any thoughts on it
  2. I think most worry about the pain aspect of getting a tat. They do not know that 9 times out of ten they have already went through 2 or 3 times more pain when they bumped their shin on a coffee table and survived that ordeal. Yes like many things in life one is afraid to take the first step, once that is done and one realizes it was not hard it is easy, they may do it again. Like anything some go to far and tat every inch of skin I would nor suggest that.
  3. @farouk Not sure if Godly. Not sure who said it. I like it though. "Peace in the quest"
  4. christianityboard dot com .................................. - yet there is indeed a lot of general truth to these statements. While the first tattoo experience does not actually make the recipient a real man, a real woman, a real military member, a real nurse, etc., but in practical terms it can sometimes seem to be almost essential. (Hence the background to the poll idea.) What Heart2Soul said was a little before my time I believe. I remember hearing that as a teen. It was not like that when I was in, tats were hardly mentioned some had them some didn't. Mine came after I was out.
  5. Yes you are right. And also these below. We are not required to lived by the Law as was/is Israel. Eph 2: 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
  6. I the two verses I posted says praying alone no interpreter needed. They also say there must be an interpreter if not alone.
  7. imo there is a craze going on; speaking in Tongues makes one appear closer to God than anyone around. One reason I stopped TV, preachers muttering several phonetic sounds during preaching that is clearly not a language or actual words of a language. And no one to interpret.
  8. I read all that you posted many times. These do not negate the fact that 1. There must be interpreter Present. 2. Tongues means other human language. 3. If no interpreter speak alone only between you and God.
  9. The last few words: v28:
  10. 1 Corin 14 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
  11. 1 Corin 14 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
  12. I find 22 verses that speak of tongues. They all lead me to think when anyone speaks in Tongues it is the tongue of another human language and must be interpreted at that time. I find not one verse that indicated one can speak in a tongue that no human can interpret.
  13. I was just poking fum at A=Saved.One.By.Grace. I agree with her.
  14. I agree with you.
  15. I worked at a school system with 52 schools and about 20 other buildings only one had a bible in it.
  16. Does she law like this One can easily conclude that some of these silly laws were simply designed to get a laugh or to alleviate the boredom of local legislators. How else could you explain the following Texas law? "When two railroad trains meet at a crossing, each shall stop and neither shall proceed until the other has passed." or this Any marriage in which one of the parties is an idiot or a lunatic is null and void > Where: Rhode Island
  17. I don't know that stubborn is a sin. all are sinners at birth some sinners are civil and social, some not. I know nothing about before birth.
  18. Two can grow up in the same house one treated good one not so good. Lots goes into the specifics of their individual life development. So there may be other reasons but home life can make one turn out either way.
  19. Thanks for your reply. Im not set on the old earth version just had recently heard of some of the things that brought questions to mind. I will look at icr.org thanks
  20. this is my understanding of tongues. 1 Corin 13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. This is how I look at tongues.
  21. Those are good articles you posted I had not saw them before. Thanks. I don't know if any thing can done to stop the waste. To many black programs that even Congress can't oversee. It is city, county, state, federal, medicare, vetrans affairs, education all have black programs and all get more each year if they spend what they get.
  22. yes but now days people are not speaking other languages that can be interpreted as also spoken of. What I have heard of by people speaking tongues can not be interpreted. To me that isn't tongues.
  23. The tongues they spoke were just other languages from other countries is what I read.
