  1. Hello! Scotland here too. I agree with you, the Earth has not been around for millions of years. There was a 'little' Ice Age in Europe in the 1640s-60s which caused Highland Lochs and the River Thames to freeze over in Wintertime, it warmed up in the 1690s. Some level of 'climate change' is normal for the Earth. God Bless You
  2. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13)
  3. Roman 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
  4. Good point. In these post-Covid uncertain times I think many people are feeling alone, or worried for the future, even hopeless. As believers we can share the love of God with them, it's a tremendous opportunity. A miracle can happen when someone cares. God Bless You Alive, have a good day
  5. John 5: 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life"
  6. John 13: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
  7. Psalm 23: 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
  8. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10)
  9. I had an Aunt who gave up smoking. If someone can kick the habit for any length of time the benefits are real and obvious. Financial, you save the high cost of tobacco. Health, fitness improves once you kick it. Social, you don't reek of tobacco. God Bless
  10. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent (John 17:3)
  11. Well said Montana Marv. I would also tend towards pre-Trib rapture. One of my favourite passages of scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. This passage is an encouragement, going into the Great Tribulation, that the bible describes as a time of great distress without parallel since the foundation of the world would not be an encouragement and is not alluded to in this passage. In Revelation it describes those who take the mark of the beast and worship the image as being damned, those who do not take it are martyred. 'Those who are alive and left' does not square with this scenario, being martyred or damned, only those left alive are those who have taken the mark. God Bless
  12. That's an interesting point! Thanks. As a former Pentecostal I think it may be because some maybe projecting a slightly different gospel, a gospel of human works. Try to make themselves right with God through works. I have spoken to some who are terrified of 'loosing their salvation' because they feel they have not done enough, or have done so much and have not yet received this blessing or that one or are comparing themselves to others. A good bible verse I often share is this one: Ephesians 1: 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Every spiritual blessing is to be found in Christ.
  13. Matthew 13: 45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it"
  14. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay (Matthew 28:6)
  15. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
