Did ya'll hear about Ray Epps getting a baby slap for his involvement in Jan 6??? Here's the News Story link: https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/ray-epps-jan-6/2023/09/20/id/1135276/

There are things that can be done to make them feel the pain of ignoring executive orders such as zero cooperation on everything that agency is doing. POTUS has the bully pulpit and can cause pain in many other ways that Trump was unwilling to do because he was very worried about how he looks and what others think about him. De Santis has proven as governor of Florida that he has no problem with the media talking trash about him as well as causing pain for government agencies when they don't cooperate. I think it would be fun to watch the liberals scream bloody murder is serious opposition to their corruption of the US would come forth.

What has happened is mass psychosis has kicked in by spiritual wickedness in high places upon the earth's population in preparation for the man of sin to be revealed (the anti-christ) According to 2 Thess. chapter 2 the catching away of the church does not happen until after there is a falling away and the man of sin is revealed (the anti-christ)... so the devil is working in people's minds to want one world government, to want a one world leader. The coming one world government will follow china's model of government and we see china right now exporting their mass surveillance abilities to other countries around the world right now. And sadly, many Christians will be deceived and will support the coming one world government, the one world religion, and the one world leader. Once the man of sin is revealed, the catholics pope and some of the most well know protestant preachers will tell the world this one world leader is of God because he comes forth initially as this great humanitarian solving the world's problems and bringing for peace But this is all a deception designed to get people to get on board the anti-christ's highway to hell which is exactly where those that follow him will be spending eternity

What makes us children of God is IF we answer the Father's call to abide in Christ having turned away from our old life of sin and walk with Him in newness of life Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; Ephesians 4:22-24 put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Romans 13:14 put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him: 2 Corinthians 6:17 come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. This is what baptism is supposed to be about... making a covenant with the Lord, a public declaration of faith, a commitment to put off the old man and put on the new man and to walk in newness of life Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. We are called to cooperate with the Lord, to be co-laboroers with Him. He made us in His Image, so we have free will... the Lord desires for us to willingly choose to turn away from our old life of sin and come abide In Christ and not turn away, ever! 1 Corinthians 3:9 We are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. It's God's work, His power, His ability... but WE have to choose to accept His offer to be His children and turn from darkness to walk with Him in the Light. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Getting born again is the introduction and the starting point and if one trely believes and dies moments after getting born again, yes they would go to Heaven. But few die immediately after getting born again so it remains to be seen... will WE to choose to accept His offer to be His children and turn from darkness to walk with Him abiding In Him until the end of our lives so that we might be saved??? Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Endure to the end as in... DON'T fall away!

In John 15, Jesus said those that do not abide in Him bearing fruit would be cut off and cast in to the fire. Here's another one to consider... Ezekiel 18:26,27 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. *This is why Jesus tells some "I never knew you" that had been born again at one point in their lives but turned away from the Lord later. So apparently one can be wheat and be spoiled and counted as being tares or at least be thrown out with the tares and get the same judgement tares get.

Here's the thing... you may not intend to be supporting a license to sin and may speak against it... but other believers hear "one can never lose their salvation" so OSAS becomes a stumbling block for them concerning sin as they believe they can not stop sinning and still go to Heaven. So ultimately OSAS does cause many to believe they can live in sin and it matters not because they are being told by OSAS people that "one can never lose their salvation" So you may very well be living right before the Lord not knowingly or willingly doing sinful things, but that doesn't mean the OSAS message is not causing others to believe it is a license to sin. This is insinuating that one can live in sin and only lose a few rewards and still go to Heaven which is not biblical when one looks at the whole counsel of God. So no, I'm not using the 3rd view because there's other scriptures that warn that believers can in fact lose their salvation.
-
Yes, those that do the works of the flesh will be cast out. Those being led by the Holy Spirit or "sow to the Spirit" reap everlasting life. This is another proof text that works against the OSAS position, glad you brought this up. This is where we should want be to right there!
-
Yes... but, God created man in His Image which means we have freedom of choice or free will. God specifically says if we sow to the flesh we shall of the flesh reap corruption because sin in the flesh has been condemned So, if I willingly and knowingly sin, I have to of my own free will choose to turn away from the Lord... so since we know light and darkness cannot mix, that eternal life is no longer active while I'm in sin. That's not saying God's gift of eternal life is not eternal... it simply means His gift of eternal life is ONLY applicable to those who are abiding in Christ, John 15:1-10 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

This is why I'm the way I am now... in times past I tried doing it on my own, and just like Trump I experienced the competition handing me my backside in defeat! The devil made a monkee out of me just like those liberals made a monkee out of Trump! There's no power in doing anything apart from the Lord... apart from the Lord all one can accomplish is defeat and failure. The only way to victory is to be co-laborers with the Lord, accepting His whole counsel, cooperating with Him, receiving His leading, following His example, conforming to His Image which is answer God's call to fellowship. Living life any other way is human excrement and Brutha Paul so eloquently puts it.

They believed that because they got is directly from God's Word! And you don't disagree... until later you post things indicating you do in fact disagree. (flop flippin) The Lord says the following thru the Apostle James: James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Apparently one is justified by faith AND by works.... and the man that believes justification is by faith only is a "vain" man. Why would someone having a different view point weary anybody? You can't change others, so let them have their view point and move on! No sense in letting it weigh one your mind... unless, you think there's a chance their view point is right and you are fighting a losing battle to keep a position that not tenable! I don't see my position and being my position... I search God's Word for HIS position and one must consider the whole counsel of God to do that and allow God's Word to dictate what we think. That's not wearing to me at all because I'm simply posting what the Lord says without reading "scholars", "theologians", etc etc, because none of those guys matter at all compared to the Word of God. That's one of the problems with seminary and bible colleges as they spend most of their time studying what some other guy thought the Lord said and it's always either a calvinist or a reformed viewpoint each of which is very problematic when compered to the whole counsel of God laid out in His Word. It is in fact a "camp" so to speak. OSAS is something that came out of calvinism and reformed theology and not from God's Word so I've found that those believing in OSAS have their own little group going and they like to tag team those that don't agree with them Most OSAS guys I've come across call them selves a camp or a community and enjoy looking at it that way... as they claim anybody that disagrees with them is trying to earn their way to Heaven They probably have their own OSAS softball team sponsored by OSAS Construction Inc who buys their uniforms from a OSAS vendor who delivers them in OSAS delivery trucks long with OSAS bottled water! In the end it's all good fun and the Lord will judge accordingly... based on what He said of course. I don't take any of this personally and I don't think anybody else should either. I've heard lots of OSAS folks say that, but then turn around and say it's not possible to lose your salvation so their message is conflicting and inconsistent. It's a very hard argument to make when saying "no we should not live in sin" while also saying "it's not possible to lose your salvation" because some will believe one cannot be lost and live in sin anyway. You can't really oppose the guy saying we can live in sin anyway without opposing the claim that "it's not possible to lose your salvation" I feel sorry for you OSAS guys cause you have a major conflict built in to your whole position which cannot really be resolves without opposing either "no we should not live in sin" or "it's not possible to lose your salvation"

There are many government employees that can actually be fired by the president... something Trump failed to do because his advisors told him it will make him look bad and may damage his "legacy" DeSantis won't have that problem as he'll wield the bully pulpit strategically and get much more done than Trump did, and there are some very good common sense policies Trump had going that DeSantis would put back in place.
-
I never advocated I was going to do that by myself. The problem with lots of folks is... they won't allow the Holy Spirit to live in them and guide them which is always based on God's promises, warnings, and instructions. It's a religious game that many play... they say they're Christians and smile and be nice and polite at church especially when the pastor is looking! But when they get back home they take the new man off and hang him up in the closet and throw their bible in their with him... and put the old man back on to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh when they think nobody is looking. They can fool some of the people much of the time... but they ain't fooling the Lord none of the time!
-
Yes, when one turns from their sin and received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior they have received the Word of God (His promises based on His Work at the Cross and His resurrection).... then they are born again. Yes, the repercussions for a believer who lives in sin is to be.... separated from the Lord as the Word teaches that sowing to the flesh results in reaping corruption (Gal 6:7,8) as in... becoming spiritually dead. When one sins, they are no longer abiding In Christ since we know one cannot be In Christ and sin at the same time because light has no fellowship with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14 what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? When one turns away from the Lord and sins, they must forsake their sin and confess their sin to the Lord in order to be right with the Lord once again. Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. People would get a lot more help from the Lord if "struggling" with sin as some keep bring up if they quit trying to hide behind excuses and be brutally honest with the Lord can confess it as what it is... SIN! When one confesses their sin to the Lord, that's not when He found out about your sin. Hebrews 4:13 says all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do so the Lord sees it all. Making excuses before the Lord to keep doing the same sin over and over is not being truthful and honest with the Lord and it's certainly not standing on His promises of deliverance from sin as in stop sinning!

I think you've asked all the questions you can think of by now right? It's your keyboard and internet connection... you don't need anyone's permission to ask questions...

Salvation is through sanctification of the Spirit
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Mr. M's topic in General Discussion
The Lord says this following thru the Apostle James: James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Apparently one is justified by faith AND by works.... and the man that believes justification is by faith only is a "vain" man. And of course we are ordained and called unto good works which is done by the power of the Lord living in us (holy Ghost) Called to Good Works Hebrews 13:20,21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. 2 Timothy 3:16,17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Some may claim it's not doing a good work, but turning from our sin unto the Lord to become born again... is a good work. -
But I did answer your questions... with scripture, from the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and not from the language used by the OSAS camp.
-
That's what I keep telling these guys that live in the OSAS camp! it was a rhetorical question

Over the years I've heard so many stories of doctors not knowing what they are doing and medical science being not much more than experimentation so... I'll trust the Lord Jesus Christ for my physical, mental, and spiritual well being. I've had numerous things try to come on my body over the years that most people would have dialed 911 over but I called the Lord instead and He delivered me! Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Turns out the devil can bring forth lying manifestations on people's bodies and if they accept it... they just bought it and it becomes permanent. I don't get along with the devil at all so I reject his attacks and use the Sword of the Spirit (God's Word) as a mighty weapon to knock the devil back without fail because God's Word cannot fail. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The definition of resisting the devil is... submitting yourself to the Lord!
-
We're called to be like Jesus (Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:1) and He didn't do dope, so this should solve the question. Just because a doctor prescribes something does not mean it's any different than doing dope!

If people to would die to self... the flesh becomes a little pipsqueak!

Like Trump failed??? They made a complete monkee out of Trump.... handed him his backside! Yeah, polls are mostly meaningless. De Santis is light years ahead of Trump in terms of knowing how to run government, being strategic, knowing when to shut his mouth, not getting indicted, knowledge of the legal system, not being scared of firing liberal government employees (something Trump failed miserably at in his 4 years after having promised to "drain the swamp") You watch... they'll either get a conviction on Trump where he'll be in prison during the run up to 2024, or numerous states will disallow him to be on the ballot in those states making it impossible for Trump to win the electoral college, or they'll whack him if they have to. They could easily make it appear that he had a hart attack since he's so old, fat, and out of shape... and ain't no body going to be doing an legitimate autopsy and if they did the final report would say he died from eating too much Mikey D's No matter how you slice it, the dems are so scared of Trump one way or another they will see to it that he won't be the repub nominee in 2024 which is actually a good things because... that means De Santis will become the go to guy. One thing is for sure, if Trump was the nominee, that guarantees another 4 years with a dem POTUS who most likely won't be biden. They'll probably run gruesome newsom Exactly! People claiming that was an insurrection have NO idea what an insurrection actually is! Nobody attempts an actually insurrection without being armed with firearms and lots of bullets and some bombs too. Those who think that was an insurrection need to go study how insurrections have been done some of these countries that have had their government overthrown where hundreds if not thousands of people get killed Jan 6 was nothing more than an ill advised riot... that wasn't even close to the democrat riots we saw in the summer of 2020!

You cannot prove Paul told anyone to drink fermented wine which is wine that contains alcohol. You can speculate all you'd like, but nothing Paul says specifically proves He told Timothy to drink the booze. But, as I understand it lots of folks search for ways to justify doing what they know deep down inside they should not be doing. Lot's of that going around in these last days as we are living in the time of the falling away.
