The Logos; Not Just in Word, But In Action
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Mr. M's topic in General Discussion
God's Word teaches that in the last days there will be massive deception. If your "ministry" teaches once saved always saved, it's too bad for you! It will not end well. So, in the end those that say what the Lord says are not the ones that are liars. Just so you'll know, scripture was written by the leading of the Holy Spirit, so it's God's Word. Hang in there and don't give up! They lord will teach you some stuff if you don't quit. -
Can Catholics and Protestants Come Together?

Because the catholics deceive Christians in to converting to catholicism which makes them hell bound just like the catholics. The Lord's Word instructs us to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Witness to them, yes... join up with them, NO! -

Probably a better way to say this is the Lord is an all powerful omniscient Person... not some "energy" floating around The new agers follow what they call the cosmic christ which they claim is an energy and ora andthis isn't the :Lord Jesus they are following. -

Exactly. The stage has already been set for the coming one world religion thru the ecumenical movement and they are already denigrating anyone who suggests their their "religion" is the only way to God. You know the story they tell is that ALL roads lead to God and they suck people in thru emotionalism and the wisdom of man which is in opposition to the wisdom of the Lord. I've already heard some claiming to be Christians talk about how wonderful it is for all religions to be coming together in harmony. This will end very badly for them. -

No, catholics don't go by the doctrine of Christ as laid out in the New Testament. They go by extra biblical doctrine that does not come from Jesus so catholics aren't even Christians! To prove this point... Jesus and His Apostles writing the New Testament never taught anybody to pray to His mom or to other people that have passed from this world which is necromancy (forbidden in scripture) And Jesus and His Apostles writing the New Testament never taught anybody to "venerate" mary which is worshiping mary which is idolatry. They think "the pope" speaks for God and what he says is on the same level as what the Lord says in His Word which is not biblical either (this is where much of their unbiblical doctrines come from) These things cannot be found in scripture so these practices are no more Christians than those of the jehovahs witnesses or the mormons. -
Yeah, old slewfoot tried to put that mess on me for about an hour one afternoon. Got those weird feelings I used to get when I got the flu every winter, you know feeling nauseous, aches and pains, fever. But, I used the promises in God's Word and ran the devil off! Some say this doesn't work for them... it does for me, but I started back in the mid 80s so maybe it's because I have a big head start!

Man, I'm glad I found out over 35 years ago as a young believer that the Lord heals and I don't need their experimental vaxx that causes blood clots, hearts disease, etc not to mention it doesn't stop covid or prevent the spreading of covid. The health plan the Lord purchased on the Cross of Calvary is MORE than enough! PTL! Proverbs 4:20-23 (see John 8:51, Proverbs 5:1,2, James 1:22… Most Christians don’t do this – BIG MISTAKE!) Attend to My words; incline your ear unto My sayings....let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart....for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh....keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it flow the forces of life. Psalms 91:9,10 (see Luke 10:19, 1 John 2:6, James 4:7) Because you have made the LORD, which is My refuge, even the most High, your habitation; There shall no evil fall upon you, neither shall any plague come near your household. (only applicable to those that have submitted their lives to the Lord, walking in the Spirit by allowing God's Word to remain IN them… have I made the Lord my habitation? Am I living IN CHRIST by allowing Him to live in Me?) 1 Peter 2:24 Jesus carried our sins in his own body on the cross, so that we, being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes you were healed. Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Isaiah 53:4, 5 Jesus has carried our grief (pain, anxiety, calamity, disease, sickness), and carried our sorrows (anguish, affliction, feelings of pain, sadness and sorrow): yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....but He was wounded (to wound, to break, be slain or killed) for our transgressions, He was bruised (crush, destroy, oppress, to collapse) for our iniquities: the punishment (violence, rebuke) of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. (He took our wounds, so we could take his wholeness & health in every area of life) James 5:14,15 Is any sick among you? (there shouldn’t be) let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (Unfortunately, it’s near impossible now to find elders that follow God’s Word that know how to pray the prayer of faith… so one MUST learn how to pray / receive directly from the Lord for themselves!... God never mentions calling a physician but instead says "the prayer of faith shall save the sick") Exodus 15:26 If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not put (allow) any diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you. (Walk in the Spirit – See Romans 8) Exodus 23:24-26 You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them, and destroy their images (cast down imaginations and every high thing, see 2 Corinthians 10:5) And you shall serve Adonai your God, and He shall bless your food and drink; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: and you will live out the full span of your lives. James 4:3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask wrongly, that you may use for your own fleshly desires. *Some ask for healing with no intention of walking with the Lord (being led by His Word) and ask for themselves for their own selfish motives not being in agreement with the Lord’s purpose for their lives which is to live their lives separated unto Him (Holy) departing from the desires of this world being in agreement with Him. James 1:5-7 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, in spite of their faults; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed… For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. Romans 8:11 But IF the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you (allowed to live in us), He that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also quicken (energize, make alive) your mortal body by His Spirit that lives in you. (see 2 Corinthians 3:17 – where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, freedom.. this includes healing!)

Trump needs to step aside and let more qualified people run. He had his shot and failed to fire many in the federal bureaucracy that should have been replaced with conservatives not to mention the liberals made a complete fool out of him. Turns out he's not vert strategic at all.. I'm thinking they'll get at least one conviction before the election that will require jail time which will cause numerous states to prevent him from being on the ballot in their states... making it impossible for Trump to be able to get enough electoral votes to win. And the uni-party leaders of the GOP will insist on Trump still being the nominee which will ensure and guarantee we get another dem for POTUS which is unlikely to be Joe Biden since he's not sure what day of the week it is.
-
No thank you! Because of this guy, we have doofus in the Whitehouse now. Trump has his warts but at least he's not trying to destroy Christianity in this nation and brainwashing school children in to be sexual perverts! Pence was well within his rights as VP to not certify the electoral college votes from those swing states that had the riff raff going on. I don't recall which presidential election but there was another time in our nation';s history that the VP did exactly that so it would not have been without precedence. This nation had more than likely passed the point of no return and is headed in to being a one party state which means communism is right around the corner. This actually fits with end times prophecy because the entire world is going to submit to a one world government and it's one world leader the anti-christt and the model that will be used is communism, ccp style. (ccp is teeaching other countries how to control their population) So Mile Pence will absolutely NOT be the nominee for the repubs, not that it real;ly matters since the elite will decide who the next POTUS is not the voters. And since the majority of this nation rejects the Lord, He's going to let us have some bad people kinda like He allowed 1930s Germany to get hitler!

Salvation is in your hands, Jesus did his part.
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Bro.Tan's topic in Bible Study
Yes, that's because it turns out that "mainstream" isn't teaching what God's Word is teaching! 2 Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying (contradicting, Not agreeing with) the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness (idolatry) shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (no self control, living after the flesh), and denying (contradicting, opposing Jesus’ teachings) the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (referring to false teachers and false brethren - see Matthew 13:24-30) -

Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Mr. M's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, but all the ministries today teach no action is necessary since that is trying to earn your salvation. They say all one has to do is believe Jesus exists and went to the Cross for sin and you'll be saved. The Lord said in the Book of James that the devil has that level of faith which is not actually saving faith. James 2:18-20 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Lots of "easy believism" going around these days with no lives being changed when people sit under these popular ministries. -
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

How did these get in the Bible???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
Not sure you understand scripture... I simply posted some things the Word of God says and then you ask silly question and demand that I answer. I post what I post, and if you cannot understand then we'll agree to disagree. I'm not going to be interrogated by you or anybody else. Either read what I write or don't read what I write. You're call saul. My point in many of these posts is so called once saved always saved teachings are un-biblical and are a stumbling block to believers. You can agree or disagree. I'm not worried about it either way. This is a simple exchange of ideas and opinions. In cases you have not noticed, not everyone agrees on everything. Surprise! Not need to get all upset and worried and in fear and whatever it is your issues are. Just chill out sheesh! -

My reply is sufficient as it came from the Word of the Lord. But, I understand if you want to hold to your select handful of scriptures and ignore the rest of the Word of God. This is how the OSAS crowd is trained to respond so I get it. We'll just have to agree to disagree since God's Word doers not actually support once saved always saved when the entire counsel of God is taken in to account. -
How did these get in the Bible???
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
And, 9 of the 10 Commandments can be found in the New Testament as commandments! It's odd when people are quick to point out that "we are not under the 10 commandments anymore" And, I always like to ask them if it's OK under the New Testament to lie and do murder. Of course most say no, but then again most believe in once saved always saved so they like that teaching on Utube of Charles Stanley saying if one did murder their sin has already been forgiven as he teaches it's not possible to lose your salvation... even if you murdered someone! He never speaks in his video of asking for forgiveness or repenting, he simply says all your future sins are already forgiven. I'm leery of people that believe like this because they may go on a murderous rampage or something believing it's all good because after all they have been taught that all their future sins have already been forgiven. -

The Word of the Lord is very clear in Gal 6:7,8.... God is not mocked, we reap what we sow. If we sow to the flesh (sin) we shall of the flesh reap corruption (spiritual death, separation from God). This means we are no longer in right standing with the Lord because we have become corrupted due to having turned our backs on the Lord and choosing to go do sin. It's like metal that has rusted... it's not long any good. We know this is true due to verses telling us to repent and turn away from our sin and confessing our sin to the Lord so we once again be in right standing with Him. To say we are still in right standing with the Lord while we are sinning is mocking God! See you are not considering the plain reading of scripture but deep down you already know that. Here's some passages that the OSAS crowd never mention and don't talk about... John 15:5 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:1,2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Jude 1:5,6 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. *If once saved always saved was true, then the Lord would not be speaking thru Jude to put us in remembrance about what happened to those that quit believing (turned their backs on the Lord to live in opposition to Him which is to live in sin). *If angels having been created perfect turn away from the Lord and be separated from Him forever, we would experience the same. Thankfully, the Lord has provided a way for man to confess and forsake sin in order to receive mercy (see Proverbs 28:13), but if we continue in our sin we will not have mercy due having turned away from the Lord Ezekiel 18:20 (see Romans 8:13) The soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:20-24 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Ezekiel 18:26,27 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. Colossians 1:21-23 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: IF ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven. *A condition is given here to be righteous before the Lord which is IF we continue in the faith. -

They should be taught the fear of the Lord... and know that's It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31) Telling them they cannot possibly lose their salvation is a stumbling block, it's not biblical, and it encourages people to go ahead and live in sin and is in fact a "license to sin" (aka cheap grace) The wages of sin is still separation from the Lord which is what spiritual death is and is what happened when the first human beings did their sin. Young believers should be told the whole counsel of God, not a select few happy verses which is being a cherry picker. God's Word cannot be treated like a buffet line where some entrees are optional and we only pick the ones we like. Some ministries today should be called Bits and Pieces Ministries - Where we don't teach all of God's Word, we just teach,,, you know, bits and pieces! LoL! -

Big Boy Stan Murf replied to upuntildown's topic in General Discussion
Actually it does matter because among others verses , Ephesians 5:11 tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather REPROVE them In other words we should be correcting the false doctrine going around so others don't fall in to traps set by the devil that can turn them away from the Lord. It's not right to take the "I got mine, phooey on ever one else" mentality. -

Big Boy Stan Murf replied to Big Boy Stan Murf's topic in General Discussion
Well if you want to do sinful things.... you are without excuse before the Lord and in doing sin you are no longer in right standing in the Lord. Unless you want to claim there actually IS darkness in God and we can abide in Christ while doing evil. God's Word tells me "I can do all things THRU CHRIST that strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13), so it's the Lord Jesus Christ that has empowered me to not sin... I dunno, maybe this promise does not apply to you and you enjoy getting your sinful lifestyle on or something. You do you and I'm going to do Jesus! I'm called to be conformed to His Image (Romans 8:29) And called to imitate Him as His dear child (Ephesians 5:1) See ya! -

After the Great Tribulation and after the Lord re-creates the heavens and the earth... does the Lord move to earth to forever be with His man. In between now and then, there is a Heaven which is where those that actually abide in Christ go when they die and their physical body is buried. Psalm 48:2 the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. This is in Heaven right now where the Lord Jesus is seated on the right hand of God. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8) Ultimately, Heave is where the Father is and one day He will move Heaven to the new earth. -
Why are the homeless, homeless?
Big Boy Stan Murf replied to upuntildown's topic in General Discussion
There are 2 extremes being taught about this world's wealth Once side claims we should all be millionaires (commonly called the prosperity gospel) and these are typically the folks that also believe Christians are going to take over the world for Jesus and the Lord cannot come back to earth until we get that job done. It's funny because they don't have an army or a navy or an air force or any way to force the world to become Christians. LoL! Then on the flip side you have some folks that teach it's a sin to have any more money than you need to just barely get by on, and that being poor makes one closer to the Lord The funny thing is, BOTH groups have allowed the deceitfulness of riches enter in and choke God's Word from their lives and It has become unfruitful (see Mark 4:13-20) Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight TRUE prosperity is being in a right relationship with the Lord abiding in Him!
